Pooka 3/9 or 10/9 (No. 2 dd almost 18m)
Zubb 8/9 (no.3 - ds 3y, ds2 14m)
Decafarabica 10/9 or 16/9 (No. 2 dd ?)
Sallie 16/9 (no.3 - ds 2y4m, dd 10.5m)
Tallbird d/d ? (no. 2 dd ?)
Yingers d/d ? (No. 2 dd 22m)

Sallie · 06/01/2005 13:22

Thanks zubb. I am dreading the next few weeks and hope that they pass quickly. AF is due tomorrow although would be gutted if she arrives particularly after 6 (!!!) BFPs

zubb · 06/01/2005 13:22

pooka!

pooka · 06/01/2005 13:22

sallie - I've also been having some gripey stomach pains not dissimilar to period cramps. Difficult to describe - usually on one or other side, a kind of heaviness. I can't for the life of me remember whether I had them last time or not.

yingers74 · 06/01/2005 13:52

pooka, u have been busy!

My due date is around 12th but as i had dd a week and half early who knows!

I just went to the nurse all excited and told her I had had a positive result--and her test was negative! I feel really silly now. What if I am not pregnant after all?

DecafArabica · 06/01/2005 18:10

So Sallie, you are not alone--I too will be re-testing. My period was due yesterday I think.

Tallbird · 06/01/2005 18:11

Wow - loads of postings today ! Just got back from work.

Sallie - sounds like positive news for you to me - fingers crossed. Know what you mean about being a bit paranoid after previous mc, and just wanting to get to 12 weeks.

I have already told my Mum, and also one of my best friends (and if I tell one friend, everyone else will know pretty soon...).

Planning to make a GP appointment as soon as I get time (though work is really busy at the moment) - hoping that I might be able to get referred to Kings for scans etc - as last time, they were just so much better that St Peters, which is out local (and where I plan never to go again if I have anything to do with it! - so we will see what happens.

My stats are as follows :
Tallbird : due 5/9 (no. 2 - dd will be 4 the week after next !)

pooka · 06/01/2005 19:50

Hi decaf. They say that the over the counter pregnancy tests are at least as sensitive as those used by doctors, so in the same way as Sallie found the predictors unreliable, the one the nurse used may also be less reliable at telling whether you're pregnant than the tests you've already used. Fingers crossed.

yingers74 · 06/01/2005 21:37

understand the paranoia thing, have brought another two tests to use! I don't even trust my af's absence anymore!

Hello everybody! I found out on New Year's Eve I was pregnant (Boots 1st response, did both tests!) Have seen doc and she gave me due date of Sep 3rd which is also my mum's b'day! Anyway, I am starting to feel very queasy, especially this evening, ugh! I have been pathetically unable to keep it a secret...like you Tallbird I think it's important to have the support. Anyway this will be our first child and we are feeling happy/elated and freaked out/overwhelmed at the same time if that makes sense! I am also getting moments of feeling quite soulful and profound! Have a silly question...I am a teacher in a large nursery...today did lots of bending down and picking (light) things up off floor when clearing up...is it ok to do this (I got the kids to help as much as poss!) or is repetitive bending bad? Feeling a bit paranoid as it's such early days and want to do as much "right" as I can. Also is it OK to drink herbal tea? Oh god so many questions! Just to let you know decaf that my doc didn't do another test on me as she said the first response was fine...hope that reassures! bye for now! xx PS god how many exclamation marks are there in this message!!!!!!

yingers74 · 06/01/2005 21:50

congrats rubyring! regarding herbal tea, best to avoid and check out which are safe. i remember with my first i was told some should not be taken but can't remember which! take care and hope you feel better soon. And bending to pick up light things is ok, until you get much bigger when bending is hard no matter what you aim to pick up!

Decaf - get some more tests and see what happens. After my experience, I would recommend Boots digital. Let us know how you get on.

Sallie · 07/01/2005 12:04

AF due today and no sign. Did my remaining Boots digital test and another BFP! Not buying any more tests.....will start thinking about going to see the gp in a week or two's time to get the paperwork all sorted.
Getting excited now although just want the next 8 weeks to fly by .
Had an awful night with ds and dd last night which started making me feel quite scared about coping with 3 under 3 and a month! Still, I am sure it will be fine. Others manage after all!!!

DecafArabica · 07/01/2005 12:35

BFP for me too, Sallie, using the regular Boots pg test in a blue pack (they didn't have the digital one). So good news for both of us! 3 under 3 and one month definitely sounds hard work, but then, I find life with just one DS (aged 4 in April) hard work sometimes--he had a difficult night too.

Sallie · 07/01/2005 13:05

Great news Decaf! I would take the test with you when you next go to the doctors!

DecafArabica · 07/01/2005 14:25

Hi Rubyring and congratulations. Please don't get too worried about shoulds & shouldn'ts; my advice would be to go to the bookshop and buy yourself a pregnancy manual (I liked the NCT's one but there are loads of similar ones to choose from--Miriam Stoppard has written one which is pretty good). Or failing that the pregnancy magazines usually have features on what to do next after a positive test.

mummyhill · 08/01/2005 08:51

Second due on 6th September (not very well planned as this is my thirtieth birthday) DD is three in February so will have 3.5 years gap wich is just nice. Congratulations to everyone else due in september and good luck to us all!!!

mummyhill · 08/01/2005 08:57

Sallie I mc in sept too it seems quite odd to think i am pregnant again and this one is due about the time i had the mc. Have only told GP, my mother and my boss (hopefully they will do a risk assesment this time) in the real world. I am paranoid that if i tell to many people outside the virtual world it will all go horibly wrong again.

Seabird · 08/01/2005 11:49

Tallbird - just looking through this thread and just wanted to say I'm delighted to hear your news . Really really hope things work out this time - I'm sure they will.

Tallbird · 08/01/2005 17:10

Seabird - thanks for the message ! Fingers tightly crossed this time. Hope all of you on the April 2005 thread are doing well.

Welcome Rubyring, DecafArabica & Mummyhill.

Hope everyone is well.

maretta · 08/01/2005 18:36

Hi, can I join your thread please?

I've found out today that I'm pregnant. It's a bit of a shock as we only started trying just before Christmas - last time round it took us 8 months to concieve.

Anyway, I'm 30 and I have one ds, who's very lovely, and will be 19 months on Tuesday.

At the moment I'm due on the 16th but I'm not very regular so if everything goes well, that will probably change.

Best wishes to everyone

DecafArabica · 08/01/2005 20:35

My best friend had a mc in Sept 2003 and when she discovered she was expecting again, her new baby's due date was exactly the same day in Spet 2004. She didn't think this was a good omen but the pregnancy went perfectly and her ds was born perfectly healthy one week early.

Tessiebear · 09/01/2005 11:28

Just wanted to congratulate all of you - from a "due in June" mum

pooka · 09/01/2005 20:36

Thanks Tessiebear. Good luck for June!
