Thought I would take the plunge as I seem to have killed the previous thread . Will put a link on the old thread so you know where to come!

hopefully- its prob just that your stomach muscles have relaxed. Could also be bloating from indigestion if you're finding that a prob (I know I am some days).
Will I get hit if I say I bought a new pair of jeans the other day because mine were all too big (lost about half a stone at end of last year). I nearly didn't bother but figured they should fit me for a few weeks and then they'll be a good incentive to get back into them. They do sit quite low so they are under my belly. I wouldn't say I look at all pregnant yet but the belly that was getting quite toned has just flopped again.

Dragonheart- I thought I'd heard that the dating scan had to be done before about 14 weeks as its only up to about then that all foetuses are the same size. DOn't know if you'd be able to book it directly with the hosp though, I guess probably not.

DebitheScot · 05/02/2008 14:41

I wondered that too biglips. I'm due on the 2nd and am only 10 weeks today. Not heard when my scan will be yet. I'm on holiday at 12 weeks so expect it to be the next week.

jenpet · 05/02/2008 14:41

Sorry, it's me confusing everything. When I 1st got my BFP I had worked it from the day I thought I had conceived, instead of the day my last AF started which I should have done (I didn't realize how it was calculated as with my 1st I had an early dating scan) so when I went to the link at babycentre and put my dates in it gave me the "proper" dates, but I left my old date on the list until I have my scan & know exactly what my due date is. Please let me stay with you September ladies! I'll be overdue again anyway!

hopefully · 05/02/2008 15:13

Debithescot my stomach muscles have definitely relaxed significantly. I've never exactly had a washboard tum, but I did used to be able to hold it somewhere approaching flat, and now it's like my tummy muscles don't actually work! And yes, you definitely deserve to be hit for fitting into SMALLER jeans. I am already in maternity jeans (or 'fat lady clothes' as DP and I have taken to referring to them...) on the weekend to allow my tummy to relax after a week in smart work clothes. Although the maternity jeans do still fall down if I move too much, I'm pleased to report.

Jenpet I'm sure no one will mind if you stay with us! There's bound to be some early arrivals to keep you company if you have your baby on your new due date anyway.

PrePG · 05/02/2008 15:23

feelingpositive I am so with you! Incidentally also on 6+3! This must be the week of doom! Cannot concentrate on anything but making time go by! Still no MS here, but breasts still so sore I can feel them in my sleep!

Pidge · 05/02/2008 15:29

If you bulge earlier with number 2 (I definitely did), what hope is there for the old stomach muscles on number 3!! I swear I had a bump this time at 5 weeks.

Nausea is round the clock for me, but it's manageable and I'm not being sick yet, and am still managing to eat, so very grateful as I suspect it's only going to get worse if the last two times are anything to go by.

Managed to go for a run this morning though, and actually felt pretty good for doing it. I was worried it might make me sick, but I was fine.

Pidge · 05/02/2008 15:35

Dragonhart - I'm getting the 'blacking out' thing when walking upstairs, or when standing up - in my case it's just massively low blood pressure. My midwife said to make sure if I feel dizzy to sit down and get my head between my knees, otherwise I might keel over completely. But other than that there's nothing to be done. And low b-p is supposedly healthy!!

But the iron you should definitely get checked out, as it's pretty common to be iron-deficient and that can make you feel absolutely awful. So worth chasing that one up.

PrePG · 05/02/2008 15:35

Good for you Pidge re: the run! I've been okay about the gym. Set my alarm for the morning with the best of intentions, but when it goes off, I promise myself I'll go in the evening. When evening rolls around, I'm just too tired. Then I feel guilty! So I have some chocolate to make myself feel better!

Dragonhart · 05/02/2008 15:45

Stomach muscles? What are they?!

Yes Deb, I should get a scan before 14wks but since the last two times I have not had one before 14+5, I do not hold out much hope.

Pidge- That's pretty much what I was told. Doc said I was prob anemic due to having three so close, but they said that if they had not contacted me after 2 weeks then I had to go back to the doctors as it ment I my iron levels were ok and it might be something else wrong. Not heard anything yet and it is nearly two weeks.

The thing that is worrying to me is that I am still carrying my dd2 as she is not walking yet. Very worried I will blackout at the top of the stairs holding her. Already fell down the stairs afew weeks ago and it was so painful, but luckily on my own.

I expect they will just say what all doctors and midwives seem to say to me if I complain about something...'I'm afraid it's perfectly normal'. I got sooo sick of hearing that with ds1!

Sunshinemummy · 05/02/2008 15:46

Well DP made me feel a bit better this morning by telling me my boobs look bigger, although they don't seem it to me. I haven't put on a pound though and am still in my normal clothes (although DP brought me some lovely maternity stuff back from San Francisco which I'm tempted to wear). Even though it's my second not popped out yet...still worried I guess. Can't wait to see midwife on Thursday.

izzybiz · 05/02/2008 16:57

Hi everyone, I dont think we get 12 week scans here well I didn't last time, have to wait for 20 weeks, and thats aaaaggggeeees!!!
Still not being sick, keep worrying that its not really in there! But I am feeling really sick and my tummy has started to swell very slightly. Only 7+3!

Was looking down our very long list, and I seem to have the oldest child here!! Ds is 15.

kel78 · 05/02/2008 17:50

I wake in the mornings and feel a bit sick but nothing major, then through the day I have a little nausea but it's the nights when I really bloated and look about 4 months pregnant and just have to go to bed cos I feel sooo sick. Alittle bit worried though cos im not actually being sick and on my two daughters I was very sick, couldnt keep anything down till 14 weeks and last 8 weeks was the same. Perhaps its a boy!!

mustsleep · 05/02/2008 18:03

i'm only eight weeks and i look like i'm six onths already!!!!

never quite got rid of post baby bulge after dd so as soon as i fell on everything just went blahhhh and now my tum is huge, god knows what it'll be like after!!!

mustsleep · 05/02/2008 18:17

ok please tell me are runny eggs completely out cos i have a massive cravng for a fried egg with toast for tea and it neeeeeds to be runny!!!!!!

i'm sure i heard someone say on one of the threads that lyon eggs were vaccinated (or at least the chickens were) so they are ok runny or is that a load of bull?

kel78 · 05/02/2008 18:24

I think all runny eggs are out, not 100% though so if anyone knows different please tell as bacon does not taste the same.

feelingpositive · 05/02/2008 18:25

Only hard yolk eggs are ok from what I have heard mustsleep. Scrambled egg or omelette would be fine. Although having said this, it didn't stop me licking the mixing bowl mixture when I made brownies last week.

x fp

izzybiz · 05/02/2008 18:33

Yes lion eggs are ok, as is shop bought mayos, baked cheesecake etc.

carrieon · 05/02/2008 18:35

Ninja, I'm due on the 28th. I'm 27 but not for much longer, have a dd who is 10months and I live in York. Thanks!

charitygirl · 05/02/2008 18:40

Hello ladies - its my turn today to worry about disappearing symtoms. I'm still nauseous but it feels less so. I know I',m being stupid, but when morning sickness starts so flipping early (two weeks ago when only five weeks gone) you have SUCH a long time to stress abhout it disappearing again.

I've also been having abdominal twinges just where i think my ovaries are (not sure I really know though) - managed to convince myself I had an eptopic in both tubes at various points today.

On brighter note, I AM really irritable. Nearly shouted out the window at work to tell an ambulance to shut the f* up. That's got to be a good sign (not for anyone I know or work with, obviously).

Gah - this 1st trimester lark is rubbish. I know they say that if you've had a mc, you lose your innocence about pregnancy, but I've never had one, and yet I feel completely uninnocent if you know what I mean. Don't feel at all special - just nauseous, fat, and worried. What a magical time.

surelyyoucantbeserious · 05/02/2008 18:46

Hi All,

Hope you are well out there.

So I got my hospital appointment for nuchal scan - March 10th! Can't believe it's so far off. 5 more weeks of feeling rubbish and not being able to explain why to anyone.

Feel like I have put my social life on hold as it gets really difficult coming up with excuses for not drinking, and anyway I don't feeling like doing anything energetic at the mo....

Charitygirl - i have lost my MS. Still have occasional 'period pains' which scare me. Boobs still sore-ish. But mostly VERY IRRITABLE as well! Feeling so cross at the moment... I almost prefer the nausea (DH certainly does!)

At least the constipation has eased off a bit though

WOW i sound like a moany cow in my last message! Reading it back has reminded me that I should feel priviledged to be pg and embrace the symptoms....... or something....

mamamufin · 05/02/2008 19:01

Hi guys.
I too am irritable and very emotional. Just been to Docs, I was in tears by the time I finished explaining how terrible my ms was. I have a trace of ketones in my wee so this has been sent off. She gave me some cyclizine to take 3 times a day. She also signed me off work for another week and is arranging for me to have an early scan as severe ms can be a sign of a molar pregnancy? or twin one. Feel so relieved that she has took me seriously- will ask for her in future. Hey Carrieon I live just outside of york but will be giving birth in YDH. I was 14 days late with my ds so might see you there!

surelyyoucantbeserious · 05/02/2008 19:03

Ah mammamufin poor you - hope you can get some rest and feel better. Good that you have found a good doc.

mamamufin · 05/02/2008 19:06

surelyyoucantbeserious You are not a moany cow do not worry. We all understand. God, I go on sometimes ....(all the time).
