Thought I would take the plunge as I seem to have killed the previous thread . Will put a link on the old thread so you know where to come!

Morning all,

Suzy - Its so hard keeping it a secret especially when the sickness does kick in, I'm afraid I've told far too many people and my DP would kill me if he found out, I've sworn them all to secrecy when he is around At this rate the only people that don't know are the in laws, whoops!!!!

splishsplosh - I have bought a couple of pregnancy magazines, was abit worried at first but I have had enough of worrying about what I'm doing and not doing that will jinx it. I must admit mc takes away all the enjoyment of pregnancy don't think I will be happy until baby is here and all is fine.
Regarding the scan don't give them a choice tell them you want one, and that you won't relax until you do, good luck with the appointment. Let us know how you get on

After a few midwife stories I hope mine turns out okay. Can you request a different one if you don't like yours or is that a stupid question?

Was nearly sick in the car on the way to work this morning, that would have been a nice view for all the other drivers!!!

bogie · 05/02/2008 09:06

Hi Everyone,
I have got a doctors appointment this morning first time since i was in hospital so hopfully everything will be ok.

mamamufin · 05/02/2008 10:32

Hi guys and welcome [Kel] and [carieon]
Thanks [leonieD], I am more confident about my due date now.
Once again so so ill. Nearly fainted in the shower today. My vision went all fuzzy. Did not sleep well with constant nausea. My appointment with Gp is at five pm- wil let you know how I get on. Cant believe I have not even had my Bp checked yet.
[Ninja]I cant believe you did a five hour training session. What on earth in? Is it what the name suggests and some sort of martial arts?
Anyway keep smiling girls.

mamamufin · 05/02/2008 10:34

Doh! meant to do names in bold not in brackets.

kel78 · 05/02/2008 10:36

Spishsplosh- I have had 3 miscarriages and they didnt tell me about the epu it was only when a friend mentioned it that I spoke to my doctor and he arranged me an appointments. When i finally got there they were soooo lovely and r scaning me every 2 weeks. If u want an early scan cos of mc just ask because when I went there were loads of women there in teh same boat. I feel much more at ease now knwing they will keep an eye on me this time. good luck

Sunshinemummy · 05/02/2008 10:39

Had the most horrendous journey in today. Set off at 07:20 and arrived at work at 10:00 - journey normallym takes 50 min. Felt ill for most of the way (quite whoozy when I was trying to get on DLR so walked out and got the bus instead), luckily DP is around this week so had banana and blackberry milkshake before I left which I think saved me.

Decided to try and stop worrying. Midwife hasn't called back and don't want to chase, so going to wait until Thursday and see what happens then.

Pancakes tonight...mmmm.

nervousal · 05/02/2008 10:57

just noticed I'm still on the list - can someone take me off? mced couple of weeks ago.

nervousal sorry to hear that

Dragonhart · 05/02/2008 11:42

Hi everyone! I havent posted for ages as I have been feeing really awful. Glad I am not the only one struggling with other children while feeling crappy.

You would think I would be used ot this third time round but it really seems to have knocked me out this time. I cant tell you how many times I have said to DH that this is definately the last one!

I went to the doctor as I was getting really dizzy just doing simple things like getting up the stairs and he said I had low blood pressure and I was prob aneamic. But then he said basically tough luck about the bp and told me to get a blood test for the aneamia which they couldnt take until a week later and was told it would take two weeks to get the results. Totally useless.

And to top it all, I have been told my booking in appt isnt til the 18th when I will be nearly 13weeks and that the scan is booked after that so god knows when I will get my dating scan! Prob close to the 20wk one.

Ive also been getting idegestion already, which I didnt get until the last few months for the first two and DH got me some gaviscon and bought aniseed by mistake. Was dreading eating it but actually loved it and now I am searching everywhere to find some aniseed balls! Think it my first ever craving!

Sorry for coming on and moaning after ages of silence. Promise to post a happier post next time.

Roll on 2nd trimester (who was looking forward to the third?! You are crazy!! )

Dragonhart · 05/02/2008 11:44

Sorry- to nervousal and others who have left since I last posted really sorry and hope you get a bfp as soon as you are ready. xxx

Sunshinemummy · 05/02/2008 11:47

Gosh Dragonhart your doctor sounds rubbish!

Dragonhart · 05/02/2008 11:51

My doctor is lovely but he is on a sabatical so I am getting all the useless ones that no-one else wants to see!

Sunshinemummy · 05/02/2008 13:07

Well those ones sound rubbish then...

Dragonhart · 05/02/2008 13:45

Yes. They are. Makes you feel so safe in their hands doesnt it?!

jenpet · 05/02/2008 13:58

Well after what feels like weeks & weeks of ms I seem to be having one day on, one day off, which is a bit of an improvement....cannot believe either how big my tummy seems to be this time!! Didn't start wearing maternity clothes til 5 months last time & have had to go & buy a few bits already! anyone else or is it just me??

biglips · 05/02/2008 14:03

hiya all...i havent been on here for aaaaagggeesss!!.....feeling rather like a bleurgh atm...got a midwife appointment today (im 8 weeks and 2 days pg)..rather a late appointment but there was a cockup atmy docs...anyway everything is going forward!

Is anyone struggling to wake up in the mornings? and also the only thing im enjoying eating atm is buttered bread!!...anything else makes me feel ill!...and still drinking gallons of water...im gonna sort out my water infection and also my cold that ive had for sssooo long!.

Also im still struggling to eat my fave part of day to eat....breakfast!!. But i am drinking milk to compensate it as that doesnt make my tummy go funny!

anyway...i do hope everyone is ok and also hoping the horror MS bugger off too!

biglips · 05/02/2008 14:05

jenpet.....it is known that the 2nd pg you do show alot earlier as i started to wear my maternity clothes in first pg when i was 4 m gone but now im 8 weeks and im showing now.

jenpet · 05/02/2008 14:21

thanks biglips I had heard people generally show earlier 2nd time around too, as the muscles all know where to go, just hadn't expected it quite this soon! Good luck with the midwife too, I've got my 12 week scan next Tuesday and I'm sooo excited already!

hopefully · 05/02/2008 14:28

Is it bad that I'm on my first pg and showing then? I'm just over 9 weeks and my tummy is so much bigger. It's definitely still looking just fat rather than pg, which is probably because it mostly is. The eating solidly for 2 weeks to combat the nausea made meput on about 2lb, so I've already gained about 3lb. Ah well, I'll be doing lots of walking and things after the birth to get thin!

I am sill so emotionally all over the place. I am blaming hormones, hope it settles down again. Just nearly cried when my boss told me off for something (which wasn't my fault, and I did manage to hold it together long enough to tell her that!) and am generally not feeling up to any kind of argument at all.

feelingpositive · 05/02/2008 14:31

Wow Jenpet very of you having your 12 week scan next week when I am only 6+3!! 12 weeks seems forever away and I am wishing the next few weeks away. I just want to get to 12 weeks, know everything is ok and then relax and enjoy. So much more stressful after a mc, as I swear in the first pregnancy with DD I got to 12 weeks without even thinking too much about it. Not this time!!

Here's hoping for lots of good news in the coming weeks as a few of us start to have our 12 week scans. Good luck for next week jenpet

biglips · 05/02/2008 14:35

jenpet - im abit confused here....! does that mean youre 12 weeks pg next week??, as i noticed youre due on the 10th Sept and im due on the 15th Sept but next week ill be 9 weeks
