Good luck to all of you waiting to meet your babies.

My daughter arrived safely on Thursday weighing 6lb 8. Planned c section. All went well. Home now and recovering slowly but surely and trying to remember how you breastfeed a wriggly newborn!

Ahhh huge huge congratulations!! 💝

iloveburmese3 · 05/04/2023 18:50

My little boy arrived safely via ELCS this morning - was a walk in the park for any mums having to have one 🙌🏻 my second and even better than the first. My baby boy is heaven and I'm obsessed with him!

@iloveburmese3 oh he is gorgeous! Congratulations 🥰 I think I need to clear some photo space on my phone from when my new obsession arrives 🤭

Indianna2006 · 06/04/2023 08:59

@iloveburmese3 ahh congrats!! He’s gorgeous. I am having ELCS next Friday so needed to hear this! Had vaginal delivery last time so 😬 xx

Missgemini · 06/04/2023 11:19

I've had a curry this evening and I started walking up and down the stairs sideways today.

I'm so fed up of being pregnant now.

Missgemini · 09/04/2023 23:28

@Margo34 how many weeks now? I’m 38 and pretty tired of it all now. Excited to have my baby and body back soon!

39+2! So hopefully that means baby will be here within the next couple of weeks 🤞

Pandacakes · 12/04/2023 05:13

Joining in! Am due 24th April but have ELCS booked for Monday 17th (39 weeks) after EMCS last time with my daughter 3.5 years ago.

Congratulations on your beautiful bundle @iloveburmese3 ! What a gorgeous baby!

So ready to be not pregnant anymore, feeling like a planet, hope everyone is coping ok, the end is grim!

Margo34 · 12/04/2023 06:41

@Pandacakes the end is grim but the end is also in sight! Not long for you left now! Good luck for your ELCS!

Pandacakes · 14/04/2023 16:39

Just to update you all, my baby arrived yesterday 38+4 after my waters broke spontaneously at 6am - ended up going for a VBAC and she arrived just before 4pm 🥰

Margo34 · 14/04/2023 18:37

@Pandacakes aww wow the end really was nigh for you! And so close to your booked in ELCS date too! Hope your VBAC all went well. Congratulations on your new baby, hope you're both doing well 🥰

Margo34 · 16/04/2023 07:13

@Kennadams happy due date to us 💛 (and @AliceinSlumberland I think it's your EDD today too but you had a section planned, from memory?)

No signs of anything resembling labour for me yet 🙄

@Skylark1990 how are you doing?

Missgemini · 16/04/2023 13:05

@Pandacakes congratssss :) Enjoy those baby snuggles 😊

Margo34 · 20/04/2023 12:03

I'm stil impatiently waiting for baby. Forced eviction notice being served next week (induction) and I really don't want to have to resort to that 😔

How is everyone else doing?

JG24 · 20/04/2023 15:17

I was due on 10th and nothing at all is happening so started induction process today
Pessary inserted and now back home to wait. Going back in tomorrow to see if that has opened my cervix at all

Margo34 · 22/04/2023 08:26

Baby is here! Girl arrived yesterday morning very rapidly, almost didn't make it to hospital 🙈

Good luck those still waiting 🩷

Skylark1990 · 29/04/2023 13:32

Thanks for checking in @Margo34 !

We welcomed our surprise baby girl into the world on 15 April 💖 she came at 41+1, spontaneous labour, no sweeps or anything prior.

I had a really lovely straightforward home birth, it was very healing after the traumatic birth I had with DD1. Feeling very lucky!

Hope everyone is doing well ❤️❤️❤️

Skylark1990 · 29/04/2023 13:33

@Margo34 congrats on your baby girl! 💖💖💖

Missgemini · 30/04/2023 13:00

Congrats @Margo34 and congrats @Skylark1990
So happy to hear about all the baby news!

My son was born on the 18th. Very fast labour after they broke my waters! Sleep deprived, but feeling very happy with my boys.
All the best ladies :) xx

Aww congrats @Missgemini @Skylark1990

Skylark, your experience sounds much like mine, apart from the home birth aspect - traumatic first, straightforward and healing second 🥰

It's wonderful chaos with 2, isn't it!?

SearchingTheSkies · 06/05/2023 20:28

Congratulations on all the recent arrivals.

How's everyone getting on? Anyone managing much sleep overnight? DD tends to do a two hour stretch somewhere between midnight and 7am. I really miss sleep!! 😅

Margo34 · 06/05/2023 21:09

@SearchingTheSkies I have a totally different sleeper to my eldest! I've had to wake baby up to feed! This one wakes 3 times a night, I've had a few 4.5hr stretch of sleep 😲 Last night though I woke up, fed and changed nappies and baby stayed still asleep! I was so engorged 🙈 This is all new territory for me and makes me nervous with such a young baby barely 2 weeks old!
