Anyone else feel like they're constantly being tickled in the pelvis? 🤭

Missgemini · 05/02/2023 19:11

Haha yes! I’m having a lot of movements now.

Had my first growth scan a few days ago. All thankfully going well. But I’m so so tired. Counting down the days!

This thread has gone so quiet 🥺 Has everyone moved onto the WhatsApp group?

xalexandra · 05/02/2023 19:53

@cheekysausage yes, there's a whatsapp group! Would anyone else like to join now we are not far away from when we are due? 😁

cata09x · 05/02/2023 19:53

@cheekysausage the WhatsApp group is definitely very busy!

I'm still here @cheekysausage. Not such a fan of WhatsApp and sharing my phone number. A private Facebook group, maybe (later on perhaps), but not WhatsApp for me.

Missgemini · 05/02/2023 23:06

I’m also still here @Margo34 haha!
I couldn’t keep up with a WhatsApp group, I don’t think. Also wouldn’t be so anonymous anymore.
Hope the other ladies are doing well x

I’m due my first on 11th April. Have been following along on the thread. Is it still possible to join the WhatsApp? Only 9 weeks for me to go!

Margo34 · 07/02/2023 09:45

@Expectinginapril those last 9w will fly! I can't remember who set up the WhatsApp group, might be further back in this or a previous thread, but if you PM them then I think they'll add you.

Hope you've fared ok in terms of sickness etc throughout your pregnancy. I have been very aware of starting to waddle this week particularly 🤭

7w until Mat Leave starts for me!

Marshmallowmountain · 11/02/2023 23:30

I asked to be in the WhatsApp group but no one contacted me and I’m not sure who to ask 😞 Please may someone add me?

bluebubbles12 · 11/02/2023 23:45

From memory I think @Pommy1 set up the WhatsApp group, so if you private message her then she should be able to add anyone wanting to join x

Marshmallowmountain · 11/02/2023 23:48

@bluebubbles12 thank you! Will message her

Me too! Do you know what you're having?
When was your EDD? :)

iloveburmese3 · 13/02/2023 18:04

That's so fab Melissa! My EDD was April 17th which is actually my birthday! But having a C section (my choice) on the 4th. This is my second baby, how about you? X

How lovely! I wish I could have mine a bit earlier than it is in comparison to my EDD like yours is - I'm due the 8th so only 4 days before. This is my first - a little boy

iloveburmese3 · 13/02/2023 18:18

@Melissa2023 I live in France and they're really strict about C sections at 38 weeks (relieved as I've found this pregnancy so hard 😅 - I've been counting every minute!) I'm having a boy too! 7 weeks today our babies will be here - feels surreal! C sections are great don't over think it just let the professionals do their thing. X

Margo34 · 13/02/2023 22:43

@iloveburmese3 hello! What have you found hard in your pregnancy if you don't mind me asking? I've found this pregnancy exhausting, especially the last few weeks. I have very little energy for my energetic toddler which makes me sad for them, I just want to play before I have my hands full with a baby again. I'm also finding the emotional rollercoaster exhausting, second baby thing I think as I don't remember feeling so sad first time: feeling sad for my toddler whose world is going to flip, feeling sad for new baby who won't have the same attention as the toddler did etc etc. 🤷 Just all round exhausted!

Missgemini · 14/02/2023 12:53

@Margo34 I feel exactly the same as you. I also have a toddler that just wants to play and jump around and I simply have no energy for it.
One of my first feelings when I discovered that I was pregnant was sadness for my toddler losing all the attention he used to get.
I am counting down the days though. So so tired and achy. But we’re almost there x

Is anyone else just as fed up as me?!

so so grateful to be pregnant an can’t wait to meet my little girl. But pregnancy this time around is sooo much harder. I’m so tired and feel so bloody heavy and only 33 weeks 😩

Feel like this last but is going to go super sloooooww.

been given my c section date though and only just over 6 weeks to go. So interested in you ladies having c section early May. Mine is mid April. And very nervous. First c section but second baby.

Indianna2006 · 03/03/2023 19:47

*early April I mean @iloveburmese3 @Melissa2023

god baby brain I can’t even type anymore 🤣

I feel the absolute same! Exhausted to the bone (although this entire pregnancy has been like this) nausea has come back (I'm still on medication) and I feel so heavy, pains all day and not really confident about walking anywhere now as baby feels like it's going to come out any second. I'm 33 weeks 5 days, second baby, boy, very big boy, and will be having my second C section on April 4th. Please don't worry or get stressed ahead of your planned C section. They're such a blessing, it will be calm, safe and easy and you'll be surprised just how quickly a) you'll meet your baby once you're lying down and b) how quickly you'll be back on your feet (literally a few hours later, a bit sore but take the pain relief and you'll be fine). Random advice but start having a daily bowl of blueberries. This is the most antioxidant rich fruit to eat and will help pre-heal you after the operation. I did this last time and I recovered so fast I was hiking in Switzerland 6 weeks post birth and really back to normal 2 weeks after C section. Good luck and any questions please let me know! I really champion C sections - we are lucky to have safe access to them for our safety and for our babies xxx

Melissa2023 · 03/03/2023 19:53

Hi @Indianna2006 ! Are you nervous about anything in particular or just the unknown?

I'm looking forward to mine now - so excited to meet him but very very sore and in a lot of pain with how big my bump is and the affect it's having on my nerves and pelvis!

So
Sorry for delay to this... I could have written your post. I am E.X.H.A.U.S.T.E.D and honestly have been since day 1. Im nearly 40 so probs a factor but also like you I have a very lively toddler and I've had to rely on childcare as honestly I'm flat as a pancake and looking after her drives me to tears I'm so dead. Also I've had every aliement in the book... it's been comical but every day there's a bad pain or symptom and I am really not this type of person I like to get on with it and be active and alive. I've been a grumpy sloth since august and honest counting every half second to meet my son. Hang in there! We are so nearly there x

Also to add... I'm SO sad all the time. I'm never sad usually (unless something makes me sad) but this is just on another level. I don't want to socialize as I get quite annoyed with people (so strange as I'm very social usually) and am happiest in bed with my cat 🤣🤣🤣
