Lori, sorry to hear you're not well. So hard to have a tummy bug when you're pregnant. That Norovirus is running riot this year. It might be that. I caught it a couple of months ago but it usually only last about 24 hours. Hope you feel better soon.

We've got a 4D scan booked for Saturday morning, I'll be 27+4. I can't wait!

Ohh - think I will join in on the festivities - bit of champers and pate this way too please! Need something to cheer me up! Seem to be catching everything and anything at the mo and it is really getting me down now... 1st the Norovirus (on Christmas Day of all days!), then a horrible cold, and now I've got a vertigo virus (thanks to the cold).

Really fed up - I just want to enjoy my 2nd trimester and get on with my life and I keep getting friggen sick!

How about a slice of MIL's award winning birthday cake? (she's a sugarcraft designer)- complete with her specialty of a half bottle of gin in the mix? Hic!

Happy birthday VS!!! Hope you're having a lovely day.

I'm just back from the gym, hadn't been in a month. I only do very light stuff but I feel all the better for having done it. And now, I'm ready for some cake

A colleague who doesn´t eat choccie (strange man!) bought in loads of choccies that he had for Christmas. I was being really good & avoiding the staffroom until hubby (being ever thoughtful) bought a huge pile of them into the Library, just in case I missed out - aahhh

I´m seeing the midwife on Fri so will get weighed so I´m not looking forward to that. It´s also my 2nd trimester blood test where you have to drink that awful glucose stuff as well - yuk

Mollyfloss · 09/01/2008 14:17

I just had to drink lucozade an hour before.

Soph73 · 09/01/2008 14:18

We have to give blood then drink this 100ml of bright orange, pure sugar gloop, then wait an hour and then have more blood taken - horrible.

What lovely birthday plans you have VS - a hospital tour !! Hopefully the Indian will make up for it. Make sure you get some gaviscon down you to get rid of your heartburn so you can enjoy it. Love the balloons Peachy.

Now, what's all this about gloopy, sugary stuff? I've never had to do that? And nobody's mentioned it this time round either??

NEM - we´re a bit backward still over here I think in England they call it the glucose test.
