Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Hi everyone
I'm due my first baby 22/07 and am horrendously nauseas all day but not actually throwing up! I have my scan next Wed and am a little nervous as first 8 weeks of pregnancy were very worrying with a recurrence of excruciating endometriosis pain. I'm off to New Zealand on my delayed honeymoon on Valentines day and am hoping not to be feeling this sick, hoping a week in Fiji on the way home might sort me out!!

isaidno · 04/01/2008 15:41

WOW! TWINKLE! TWINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations!

And welcome Gilly! Add yourself to the list.

sweetkitty · 04/01/2008 15:49

whoohoo someone with twins congratulations twinkle, always knew it would be comeone having number 3 or 4 not anyone with a first baby although still time for someone else to have twins.

gilly - welcome to the thread, it's just keeps growing now (a bit like our tummies)

Jodie - I would love some reflexology this time especially if it were to help the SPD, will have to research into it.

isaidno - I feel like that too I actually forget I'm pregnant, DP actually said last night that he doesn't think I am v excited about being pregnant this time, thing is I actually ahte pregnancy, I am so happy at the thought of another baby but the thought of the pregnancy fills me with dread. It's the tiredness coupled with the SPD nevermind having 2 DDs to deal with. Still its the last time suppose I should try adn enjoy it

MrsHop - I had DD1 in the Queen Elizabeth hospital in Woolwich so not that far from you, not hear anything about Lewisham but ask on MN I'm sure others will have experiences there.

My skin hasn't improves any DP said how come the minute you say I'm pregnant you get acne! Just squuezed another spot on my forehead, sorry if TMI, chances are there will be another one tomorrow. Have stepped up my skin care regime (well it's not hard to) but no changes so far.

paulaplumpbottom · 04/01/2008 16:02

Thats wonderful news Twinkle!!!

I have been feeling a bit dizzy but otherwise fine. A bit crampy as well but I guess thats normal. Its nice to have some of my energy back. I was even out running around in all the snow this morning and at midnight.

I hope everyone else is feeling well. We should all be starting to feel our oats by now

pigleychez · 04/01/2008 18:52

Hi All,

Welcome to Gilly

WOW! to twinkle! You will be especially busy in July!

RUMPEL · 04/01/2008 18:59

Evening All and welcome Newbies .

You don't come on for a coupla days and there is loads to catch up on! You lot talk a lot

LIBRALADY - scary stuff falling on your tum - hope you have plenty of padding to protect LO {like me!}.

TWINKLE - Wow well done you. Are you going to find out the sexes?

I am sure someone else is expecting twins too - Did someone not mention it on one of our eralier threads?

I had the hospital yeserday. It was snowing and I had LO - no where to park. Beanie is lying right on my bladder just now so needing a pee every 5 mins. The hospital here is scruffy and sprawling. Was snet 5 different ways and ended up in the EPU, to be told I was in the wong place. By the time I got to the right place I was ready for keeling over what with rushing. Nice midwife - took blood, weight, height, history etc. No birth pool here so will need to hire. Am praying I will be in and out the same day this time - hospital in July - no thanks!

As I felt not too bad yesterday I dropped into opticians for eye test - really feel my long sight has deteriorated. Optician was VERY handsome and there I was all sweaty, yucky breath, looking like shit!! The girl who helped me choose specs was telling me how she never felt better than when pg - no ms at all and glowed - grrr

I have the most horrendous insomnia just now - keep awakening at 2 -3am and cannot get back to sleep. Consequently it gets to 2 - 3pm and I am knackered and need to lie down.

RE weight thing. I put on nealry 3 stone with LO. Managed to lose all but 5lbs of it but could still have done with another stone off before falling pg again - alas time is not on my side and a healthy baby is more important.

MINKUS - I am with you totally. I would love 3 but refuse to have another after this one as I hate being pg. I feel awful and just don't enjoy it, although I love the end result.

Don't you just find the smell of your urine (not to mention the other) vomit inducing!? God it is horrid. As for eating fish - bleurgh!!! Had to give the pussies tuna yesterday as no cat food and I was wretching.

PAULA - good to hear you are keeping well and feeling positive.

SCOTTISHSUSAN - your friend had 13 kids OMG!!!!! She is a SAINT and obvioulsy very good at it.

Well giant post again - keep well ladiesxxx

RUMPEL · 04/01/2008 19:03

Forgot to say - REFLEXOLOGY is great for all the body systems and emotional wellbeing. However, ask to see the person's qualifications and ask about insurance/experience etc. So many dodgy therapists about these days. It is my favourite treatment as I 'live in my head' a lot and it helps to ground me. It is perfectly safe if you are past 12 weeks with no pg complications. You need to make sure you drink plenty of water after a treatment to flush out all the toxins and hydrate yourself and don't get it done if you have the cold or other illness.

isaidno · 04/01/2008 21:46

Just added a photo on my profile of my (little) bump!

paulaplumpbottom · 04/01/2008 22:38

Very cute bump

sweetkitty · 04/01/2008 22:42

very nice little bump isaidno and you look very svelte as well

(SK goes off to ponder why she always looks like crap whilst pregnant>)

PaulaYatesbiggestfan · 04/01/2008 23:30

Morning

Wow Twinkle!! Twins - congratualtions!!

Minkus - I will definately not be having more after number 6. I will be 40 before this one is born and I my body needs a rest!

Feeling very sick this morning and tired...woke in the night with uncontrollable shivers and sweating at same time. Ds has bad chest infection ...hope I'm not coming down with something. Got to go back to work on Monday after scan and I am dreading it....feel so guilty about being off before hols and now worrying about not being able to cope. Being ill when teaching 24 10 and 11 yr olds is really not an option

I'm away to lie on sofa if ds will let me ....

isaidno · 05/01/2008 07:51

Morning everyone!

Svelte - thanks Kitty! I don't think I've ever been called that before! I am thinner for this pg than for the previous two, and the weight is only creeping on slowly (so far!) I would love to look like one of those glam ladies who look like they've got a balloon tucked up their jumpers, but unfortunatelt I am only 5 ft 1, so the bump tends to look enormous by 6 mths. By the end I look like a beach ball out for a walk.

I promised the DS we would take them swimming this morning, so I'd better go look for the costumes, and the armabands, and the goggles, and the swimming towels....

hope you feel better soon Susan xx

ThreeFrenchHensEEC · 05/01/2008 08:04

What a lovely bump isaidno. Mine seems to have developed enormous proportions since I had scan on Wed, as if it's suddenly been given permission. Even DH thinks so, although maybe I'm just happier to have it now, as I know there is someone ion there, and am therefore stopping all attempts to pull it in!

Only one very short bout of ms yesterday, and feel fine this morning. Could 13 weeks really be the turning point?

beepbeep · 05/01/2008 09:06

Congratulations Twinkle, you must be so chuffed (and shocked!!).

All good this end, just VERY tired. Start physio next week for my SPD - had it bad last time round, but pretty surprised they've started it this eary, i'll only be 15 weeks and though getting pain every so often, certainly not kicked in properly get - hopefully it might keep it under control.

Hope all with MS are feeling better soon, luckily mine seems to be passing.

Take care all x x

Mummywannabe · 05/01/2008 11:15

Isaidno - very cute little bump. I have quite a big bump but also my bum had got big too . My mum put on loads of weight when pregnant, think i will be like her! Anyone wanna share how muh weight they have gained. I have put on about 5lb which seems a lot, but i was very skinny after wedding so only about 2lb more than pre-wedding weight.

Threefrenchhen - agree about bump seeming bigger after scan, i think like you its just gave me confirmation that i'm not just getting tubby!

paulaplumpbottom · 05/01/2008 11:20

I weigh two pounds less than I did before I was pregnant. I lost almost 10 during the first trimester. I could hardly eat. My appetite is slowly returning to what it once was

Minkus · 05/01/2008 12:56

1.5 stone slighter here again like paulapb down to sickness. Thankfully I am normally, er, well padded shall we say so at least I could afford to lose it theoretically!

paulaplumpbottom · 05/01/2008 13:04

I hear ya. I'm well padded myself. I keep waiting for my OB to say something about it but so far he hasn't

Mummywannabe · 05/01/2008 13:26

ok now i feel like even more of an elephant than i did before! .

Embraced the maternity wear today and feel bit better as clothes that fit make you feel less big! Look pregnant too! Well to strangers look plump but i think i look pregnant

Sorry you two have been that poorly, i had bad MS too but tended to be heaving rather than sick.

paulaplumpbottom · 05/01/2008 13:33

Well its over now thank goodness!!! It will all be worth it in July

Minkus · 05/01/2008 13:42

Mummywannabe I am really looking frward to having to get out my maternit clothes again, they are such a relief aren't they!

Oooh ppb, mine's still lingering although the drugs are controlling it now thank goodness! It hung around with ds too and at one point with him I'd lost 2.5 stone, ended up a half stone lighter when I gave birth (to a v healthy 8lb-er!) than when I'd got pregnant- which was great in some respects but in others not so (i.e. giving your husband even more of the raging horn than normal because you look quite good and having to fend him off in the middle of the night when heartburn was so bad I was scared I'd just chunder all over him and the bed)

Norks absolutely mahoosive though, (see comment above however about giving dh the horn) and the nips are really dry and flaking (ewwww) and soo unbelievably itchy I could do with a scrubbing brush on the buggers for some relief.

But whatever yes you're right roll on July, bring me the baba!

Mummywannabe · 05/01/2008 13:46

Mnkus glad you said about your nipples, thought it was just me!

paulaplumpbottom · 05/01/2008 13:49

I'm only in my Maternity jeans, but I own so many jersey wrap dresses I doubt I'll have to buy much at all
