Can't quite believe it. Got a very very faint BFP today. Been ttc no2 for ages now.

Don't want to say too much until I have told RL but reckon I am due around about 8th Sept or so.

I've just added myself to the list. I've done a guestimate of 8th Sept based on LMP, but will get my sum confirmed when I get to the doc's.

Have absolutely no symptoms as yet, except for constant vague sick taste in my mouth without actually feeling very sick. I really want more symptoms, as it all feels so unreal. I am super paranoid about probs, as a close friend had 2 miscarriages last year, one of which wasn't noticed until the 12 week scan. I am so paranoid about that it's not true. Someone mentioning (oblivious to my situation) that lots of sickness meant a healthy pregnancy, while I didn't really feel sick, did not help my paranoia. Guess the worry will settle down in the coming weeks...

Meglet good for you telling your mum, you might as well be positive about it if you can, imho. I think we should make a pact to count slight nausea as a symptom anyway!

Hello and welcome to newbies - I hope we can help ease any paranoia. Why shouldn't it be you that has a healthy pregnancy?

I'm feeling very positive and happy today and keep telling Mr. Excitable I love him in a very soppy way. It's quite nice in Excitable's world today. I hope he remembers days like this when I'm clearly off my trolley with the pregnancy hormones

I think we'll probably tell our best friends this week but wait until the 12 week milestone before we start telling family. I'd quite like to tell them in person, but that's going to difficult as they all live some distance away. Later, I might regret moving so far away from my parents, but I think it might have it's advantages too. We're not very close and they're all a bit too keen to be involved, iyswim. I'm happy to deal with that conversation later.

we have told quite a few members of the family and two of our friends..like you say excitable why shouldn't it be us that has the great pregnancies..but what will be will be, i figured i am going to tell these people even if things go wrong.

Hi all,

meglet - so sorry to hear about your MC, I also MC in Oct '07 at 4+4 it had taken a long time to get pregnant I couldn't believe it and I was devastated. I'm 5+1 today and still absolutely petrified every time I go to the toilet. But we should stay as positive as we can lets hope these next few weeks pass quickly until we get to the scan

Excitable - I'm afraid there has been no sex since finding out, but if I do (which is highly unlikely the way I'm feeling at the moment) then I will let you know

Congrats to all the newbies Can't believe how many of us there are

Oh dear, dp has been reading the pregnancy book. He keeps saying helpful things like 'you know I'm here for you' and trying to massage my feet. I felt obliged to point out that I am still at the excited stage, the hormonal/fat.stressed stage hasn't started yet, and he should save all his sympathy for then. I think he was a bit offended, after his new man attempts!

Excitable, it is so wrong, but I'm envious of your feeling sick. I might be feeling more positive, but I still want some symptoms so it all feels real! I'm sure I'll be eating my words soon.

Ooh, need to phone the doctor today and see when they'll see me.

good luck to you all. I was here a year ago. What a lovely start to the new year (sickness and all other symptoms aside!)!!

Report
Excitable · 02/01/2008 14:12

Don't feel sick anymore. Might have been indigestion .

Might just continue to imagine symptoms like a really extended 2ww. It cheered me up then - it probably will now.

Feel quite cheerful today, but said to DH this morning that I quite fancy going into confinement. He said I might have been born 150 years too late! What rotten luck, eh?

Never mind - here's to AF not darkening (sorry, tmi!) our door for a good few months yet!

Report
hopefully · 02/01/2008 14:15

I like your thinking Excitable, imaginary symptoms clearly worked for us both when on the 2ww. Why shouldn't they continue now?

Have an appointment at the doc's this afternoon. Have no idea what to expect! Suppose it will just be confirming etc...

Hi all,

Well back to work today, and I'm knackered hoping thats a symptom but haven't been sleeping well so could be just lack of sleep.

shell - Congrats hun

I'm sure boobs aren't hurting as much as they were and been getting vague nausea on and off (but could also be due to overeating) so all in all I want more symptoms please so I can be less neurotic than I am already am

hopefully and lockets - Good luck at docs let us know how you get on

Report
Excitable · 02/01/2008 15:05

Hopefully and Lockets they'll want to test your urine, so have a big drink before you go to the docs.

Gracie I am growing used to the idea that I can kiss gooodbye to the non-neurotic Excitable. Symptoms or no symptoms, the enormous worry starts here for me and will continue until DC are all graduated from uni (obviously, they're all going to uni )

For about two minutes when I wake up in the morning, I have a feeling I'm not very proud of. A sort of "Oh God, what have I done?" feeling. Almost a sense of impending doom. Keep having to remind myself to take this one day at a time.
