Mawbroon just as you suspected then. I am sorry, though, I hope you can do whatever you need to do in the next week or two to make you feel better. At least you don't have to tell many RL people.
Digitalgirl!!! Excitable waves madly from across the forum blowing kisses! How nice to see you in here!! Congratulations to you and to all the other newbies! I can behave like this in the virtual world, but believe me, I'm really not up to it in real life! The MS really did come on suddenly and I'm feeling a bit wobbly about it. I'm seriously considering taking some time off, but still undecided ultimately. I told my Mum today, who is usually a bit fussy, but she was brilliant about this and she pointed out that just because I've been poorly this week, does not mean that I'll be poorly next week. She didn't have such an understanding employer as mine, though, and I might just be taking advantage of that...
My Dad was really cool too, although he did not want to know how I was feeling though - times really have changed haven't they? They have for my Mum and Dad, anyway, they're like Terry and June - hehehe!
Didn't feel to bad this morning so didn't put my sickness wristbands on. Wish I hadn't done that really. Had to go back to bed when the MS hit me again. I'm not actually being sick, I just feel like I'm at sea in a force twelvety gale (don't know much about gales).
DH is very worried about the lack of sex and worrying that it will be like this for the rest of our lives now. I can't really help him with that one. It might have been a bit unsympathetic to say to him, "I tell you what - we'll swap places and you can feel shit all day and I'll see how much the lack of sex worries me." But really, I know who's got the short straw here, and it isn't him - hehehehe!!
By the way go to the doctors as soon as you can to get yourself into the system. Then they'll sort out midwives and hospitals and all that malarky from there. Don't expect them to have as much information to give you as you've been used to on Mumsnet, or anything very much to happen, the first visit has universally been pronounced unexciting. Come on here and tell us what happens anyway, cos everyone's experience is different and it's interesting to compare.
Mustsleep I'm from near Leeds originally, but I defected and moved to Lancashire. Which part do you come from? Might I know it? I went to school in a town called Heckmondwike. I often wonder when I write that on my CV if employers think I might have made that name up!
