Can't quite believe it. Got a very very faint BFP today. Been ttc no2 for ages now.

Don't want to say too much until I have told RL but reckon I am due around about 8th Sept or so.

ooh, and I have private scan booked for 26th Jan, when I'll be around 7+6. I am very excited!

mawbroon · 11/01/2008 15:09

hopefully - you can do the list as many times as you like!! Make sure you make the most of your brain before the pregnancy hormones melt it

My ds and dh have similar names and I keep calling them the wrong names

hopefully · 11/01/2008 15:21

It's ok, my mother has only just stopped calling me after the dog. The dog died 15 years ago.

Oh starlight, especially if you use the wrong name at a, well, you know, em, crucial moment!

Oh its been busy here today, hello to all the new people.

I finally got round to phoning the docs, asked if I could bypass the doc and go straight to midwife but receptionist said no (in a perfectly nice, pleasant way) so I'm seeing the doc on Tuesday afternoon.

Just been for another run, feeling very pleased with myself Anyone else still trying to keep up doing similar excersise to pre-pregnancy? How's it going if you are?

meglet · 11/01/2008 16:27

deb. I'm keeping up my workouts. Will go to the gym this weekend, I'm being a bit gentle this time as I'm scared of mc though. Haven't got the guts to try running or rowing at the moment. However with my first baby I was doing gentle kickboxing until 20 weeks .

I'm glad I will be having a planned cs in sept, it's starting to look like a baby boom round here. (squeezes up so more people can fit on the bench)

hopefully · 11/01/2008 16:29

I'm keeping up my exercise, but it's not excactly hardcore - about 15-30 mins cycling (at not terribly high intensity, just enough to make me a bit out of breath) on our exercise bike in front of the telly, and lifting a few light hand weights!

amitymama · 11/01/2008 18:20

Hi there! I'm new to the forum but just found out I'm pregnant with number two today. Haven't even told DH yet, he's on his way home so will be breaking the news any minute.

I hope everyone has a happy and health 9 months and I look forward to getting to know my way around the boards.

amitymama · 11/01/2008 18:21

Oh, and I'm due on September 20th, I live in London and my DD is 21 months old.

good morning everyone!

I hope everyone is ok today (the sun is out here, thank goodness). Hope the LO's are growing strong and healthy, even if we don't all have major symptoms yet. I'm feeling good, I checked my old timesheet at work during my last pregnancy and I was really rough and off sick at 8 weeks and again at 11 weeks. Am wondering if it will be the same this time. Am 6 + 4 today. x

oops.

biglips · 12/01/2008 10:42

morning all!..

Mawbroon - i do hope everything is ok??

welcome the newbies too...the list is growing and growing!!!

Well ive been feeling great as no sick burps for the past 2 days which it made a change!!
but last night in bed, i jumped my self round from right to left (meaning i turned around very quick) and i had a stabbing pain in my right ovary..it blardy hurts for a minute. Should i be concerned???

mawbroon · 12/01/2008 12:03

Yes, the list is growing enormous! Welcome to all the new people, my head is a bit of a muddle just now, so sorry if I can't keep track of you all!

I have had some more bleeding. It's not really that heavy, nothing like as heavy as a period, but still a worry all the same. I phoned the EPU and they will see me tomorrow morning. I also have an emergency number to call if things take a turn for the worse. The bleeding isn't really my main concern as I know it is very common. The disappearance of the sore boobs and the nausea, coupled with bleeding is more worrying. The lady I spoke to did say however that with a bi-corunate uterus, the other half can react to a pregnancy with some bleeding, so there is a glimmer of hope there.

I do have a gut feeling that it's gone though, so will not be surprised if that's the verdict tomorrow.

hopefully · 12/01/2008 12:42

Poor old you mawbroon. thinking positive thoughts for you.

I am pleased to report the return of some symptoms. Was really getting cross at lack of them. Have sore boobs again and this morning had very slight nauseous feeling when dp and me went for a walk (on the beach, was lovely!)

Have a fund weekend everyone, I'm off to see my cousin and make up excuses not to go horse riding!

hopefully · 12/01/2008 12:42

or a fun weekend, if you want to be old fashioned about it

mawbroon · 12/01/2008 14:27

Less of the old!

workstostaysane · 12/01/2008 17:34

oh mawbroon,
i can't help but hope that your gut feeling is wrong.
in answer to your question on the other thread - i am half thinking about tandem feeding, but am a little nervous of how it would work and if i'd have the energy for it.
also, i'm not really sure what the point would be as i only feed dd once a day so weaning surely easier? however, she really goes nuts if i try and not feed her in the am and she still asks for feeds sometimes at other times in the day which makes me a bit sad - i feel like i'm depriving her of something she wants and something which its no trouble really for me to give, except that i feel a bit squeamish about carrying on this long already.
i should be posting on the bf thread i know.
anyway, thinking of you mawbrooon

mawbroon · 12/01/2008 17:36

I'm going to phone the EPU tonight once ds is in bed. Bleeding is much heavier now and with some clots.

Sorry if TMI!!

biglips · 12/01/2008 18:00

mawbroon - has this happened to you before in your other pg? Fingers cross!! x x x x x

mawbroon · 12/01/2008 18:02

No, didn't drip a drop with ds

Excitable · 12/01/2008 19:13

Mawbroon I'm hoping you've phoned the docs and they're able to see you soon as I agree that sounds worrying. You sound like you're coping with this really well and keeping a level head, which is really important. We all worry about this, but what's important is that you look after yourself whatever happens. One step at a time though - get yourself checked out...

I'm eating mad stuff already. The morning sickness will only be stopped with certain foods and those foods are different every day: oranges, toast, vegeburgers, toast, pears, toast, mangos, toast and peas so far. Yesteday it was vegeburgers and sliced pear together! This is all driving DH insane as part of our routine has always been to cook something yummy for tea together as soon as we get home and enjoy it together before we start doing chores, but it's just not the same when he's tucking into borlotti bean, tomato and rosemary stew and I'm sitting opposite him eating my orange! He's really into his routines. I sometimes think he might have a mild form of Aspergers or something, so this is really freaking him out. He's also convinced that because I'm grazing throughout the day (and believe me, it's because I have to, not because I want to) that I'm going to be the size of a bus before the end of this. Thank God my skinnie minnie friend in town who happened to comment even though she doesn't know I'm pregnant "Good God, I was like an elephant both times." Although DH is claiming that was because she like buns and didn't forget anything

The MS has been really, really bad for me and I had to go home early and go straight to bed on Thursday when I posted that sad posting. I got every single symptom that we've all discussed at once and then when my vision started to go in and out of focus, I just had to come home and go to bed. You can imagine how THAT upset DH's routine!! I'm making him sound really boring, and he's not at all, he's really loving and supporting, it's just that this is really freaking him out. The good news is that the MS is better today, and I'm not sure if that's because of the wristbands I bought in boots today that you're supposed to wear for travel sickness. It says on the packet that they're also good for MS, so I'm giving them a try. I'll let you know my progress, although I have to say, I'm a little disappointed that they're not very pretty.
