How you doing Hairyscaycat, Pussycatmomma, Ronnielane, emfc? Is it just us left now? I've kind of lost track! I'm on the feb thread too, and there have been lots of babies there too, but imagine i won't get stuck stacking chairs there unless i ado become the only woman in history to be pregnant for ever!!!
Will check in later to see if any news from Madmouse, or anyone else!! fingers crossed for us all, lolo x

ayrshirelolo · 31/01/2008 13:06

Hope everyone is all ok, perhaps this means a few more babies are being born - fingers crossed for everyone left! xx

ayrshirelolo · 31/01/2008 21:45

Hmmmmmm...... still here, still very little to report! Thought the tightenings and stuff might be turning into something regular this afternoon, but despite an ocean of raspberry leaf tea and bouncing like a demented weeble still nothing exciting!!
Thanks for your encouragement Lilyloo! Nice to know we haven't been forgotten!!
Pussycat i know none of us want to be induced, but i think i'd swap with you right now!! as least you know the end is in sight, i could still have a couple of weeks of this carry on ! (self pity emotion.... very attractive, isn't it! ) oh well, more rasp leaf tea to drink, more bouncing to do! Madmouse, give us some news!!!! anyway, wishing you all good sleep, and lots of lovely effective contractions!! (or am i the only one left on here???? it's "lolo no mates, isn't it??" >>)
Oh well, i'll check for news in the morning!! lolo x

ayrshirelolo · 31/01/2008 21:49

scaryhairycat · 31/01/2008 21:52

ayrshirelolo! You don't smell!

fluffymummy · 31/01/2008 21:54

Hi everyone (hellooooo....anyone still here?!)...sorry its taken me a few days, but just wanted to let you know that Tamara Lucy was born on Tuesday evening (yes, it was a long 'un!) weighing 8lbs 9ozs. And hurrah, no induction!! She's brilliant, we love her and we're all horribly luvved up at the moment

I'll post a proper birth story tomorrow, as soon as I get a chance to breathe - we only got home yesterday and we've been trying to make lots of time for DS as well as our lovely new DD.

Lots of love and hugs to all of you, and really good 'out' vibes to those waiting to pop.

Off for a feed, Fluffy xxx

PS And yes, I think the castor oil really did work...and it isn't that bad at all....not that I would officially recommend it, of course xxx

scaryhairycat · 31/01/2008 21:58

CONGRATULATIONS fluffymummy!
Lovely name too!

ronnielane · 01/02/2008 09:37

Congratulations fluffymummy!
How many of us are left not many hey, feel like I am letting the team down lol. Still nothing going on for me.
Do you have an induction date scary? Thought it might snow here today, but looks like only in scotland tut, taking all I can get, thought that if it was gonna snow I would have baby today! as it was snowing in April when I was born! I can only hope I suppose. had my morning rl tea still nothing suppose another day of homes under the hammer and wanted down under for me.

labour vibes for all my fed up friends.

scaryhairycat · 01/02/2008 10:20

Hi ronnielane - No date for induction as yet, seeing midwife this morning though so perhaps she will arrange something, and hospital appointment next week to discuss it I think. How about you? Any news on that front?
No snow here, lovely sunshine for a change! Me too with the rl tea - starting to get sick of it now - that and the constant phone calls/texts/emails/husband asking me if anything has happened yet! As if I wouldn't say anything if it did, feel like a huge fat performing seal!
Well, officially February babies for us now! (I hope so anyway, you can't be pg for longer than 10 months right?! Just thought I would check!)
big contraction vibes to all who is left now!xxx

ronnielane · 01/02/2008 10:44

I was given an induction date when I saw scan midwife on my very first scan, mine is 11th feb. Sunshine here in essex still very windy and chilly though. Oh the phone is driving me mad aswell, kepp thinking rather than call or txt why dont you all come a see me and give me a bit of distraction and fill me in on gossip.lol. I know it has only been 9 months but feels like forever I actually thouight I was turning into an elephant and gonna be pregnant the same amount of time ha ha. I am seeing midwife today I might insist on a membrane sweep see if that helps I am so desperate now, the weight is taking its toll on my knees. Lo has been engaged for a while so I suppose he is going to born with a cone head tut, hope his hats will still fit pmsl.
you having a hospital birth scary? where you based/what hospital?

ayrshirelolo · 01/02/2008 14:32

Hiya friends! Congratulations Fluffymummy! Gorgeous name, and delighted you sound like it was better than last time, but looking forward to the details soon! How's ds coping with his little sis? Lots of love to you all!!
Hi scary, ronnie, I'm still here too, and still nothing to report! Thought something might happen last night as i had a slightly dodgy tummy(blush) before i went to bed, but nope, nada, nothing!! I'll be the only one left though, have got hospital appointment for 13th Feb if nothing before, so you guys will all be done by then! (sniff, self pity, etc!)
Bloody cold up here today, my mum and nephew just came down for a visit, but have gone now.... so am watching Cbeebies with dd.... (guilty mummy emotion) and drinking yet more rl tea! lolo x

scaryhairycat · 01/02/2008 15:20

Hi ronnielane, sounds like the hospital appointment I've got, (it's to discuss induction and then set a date a couple of days after - so I am told). Saw midwife and all was fine, head more down but still free - but this is my second so that's quite normal, they often don't engage until the last minute. I suppose I could have requested a sweep but I am quite happy at the moment, it's everyone else that seems to be in such a hurry! I am having a hospital birth btw, had an ecs last time. I live in Christchurch (which is near Bournemouth) so I will be having my baby at st Marys maternity in Poole.
Hi ayrshirelolo, I've had the dodgy tummy thing for about 2 weeks now - horrible!
Maybe yours will be a valentine's baby? Lets hope it arrives before then though, eh! xx

ronnielane · 01/02/2008 18:05

Hello Everyone,

I have just got back from the hospital, had appoint with community midwife and my BP was up it was 124/100 but she has not got the right tools for her job and her cuff was not large enuff and student who was with her was picking up babies heartbeat and said his heartbeat was fine, I said that it was because he was moving about which she confused with tightenings, so have been down maternity assesment since 12.00! Its quite scary about the lack of staff there is eventhough they are all lovely. So been monitered, BP was fine and had more bloods taken I even asked the registrar if they could induce me early and she said that they couldnt but worth a try hey. Anyways dont want to bore you all to death. I am gonna try another curry tonight and more rl tea. Scary I live in Basildon and having baby at Basildon hosp wish I was going elsewhere tho. Glad you have patients, wish I did I am actually going in on the 11th they have been doing these induction appointments right from the begining of pregnancies because they have been giving into people begging for an induction when they havnt been given an appointment, hope that makes sense.

ayrshirelolo · 01/02/2008 20:51

Evening! Just checking in, hope we are all well tonight, good luck with the curry Ronnielane! Scary how do you remain so patient? I'm very bored of being pregnant, and want to meet my baby, otherwise i'm not ina hurry to go through childbirth again either!
I'm booked into Crosshouse hospital in Kilmarnock, about 10 mins from our front door! It's a brand new maternity wing, very impressive looking at the tour i went on, but only saw the midwife care unit (fab, all private rooms and en suite, and about 4 bithing pools if you want one!) but will only get in there if i go into labour naturally, otherwise it's consultant led care unit which they all said was "very similar" but i haven't seen it! Just seems al kind of unreal just now though and very difficult to plan anything until baby is born, eg car needs a service etc....
Anyway, rambling now!!! sorry, it's just the preggy brain thing i think! Hope we all get some sleep (unless woken up by labour!) lolo x

scaryhairycat · 01/02/2008 22:02

Hiya girls, hope everyone is still doing ok!
ronnielane - Yes that makes sense! My appointment is on the 11th too, although not for the actual induction.
ayrshirelolo - That Crosshouse sounds fab! Wish I was going there! Poole hospital scored 'better' on that ITV hospital scoring thing, but it wasn't great the last time I went, although that was 8 years ago. May have to make my escape from it if they try to keep us in too long!
I guess my patience is due to the fact I am not uncomfortable, I'm sleeping well, and I'm still able to get out and about like normal, plus I am making the most of all the allowances made for me because I'm pg - it's amazing what you can get away with!
I remember last time missing that bitterly - So I am milking it for all it's worth this time, while it lasts!

scaryhairycat · 01/02/2008 22:10

Oh and MrsMcJnr and madmouse - would love to here from you soon, girls! Looking forward to those birth announcements, hope all went well for you both!xxx

AngeChica · 02/02/2008 00:03

Hello all. Just to say our boy Aleksander was born 15 days overdue on Tues 29th January by c-section, after a spectacular failed induction, weighing a hefty 10lb 14oz. Am glad to be home after 6 days in the hospital and will be back on soon. Good luck to all ladies still in here xxxxx

scaryhairycat · 02/02/2008 11:31

CONGRATULATIONS AngeChica!
Morning everyone, hope you all had a good night, I woke up to a small show this morning. Walked round a 9 hole golf course yesterday, bounced on my ball all evening and a little bit of 'action' at night helped things a bit I think! As I walked yesterday I definitely felt the baby more low down and had loads of bh and period type ache in the evening. Lo was wriggling like mad all night as well, (probably trying to find the exit!)xx

lilyloo · 02/02/2008 11:34

Congratulations Fluffy and Angechica
Sending more labour vibes your way ladies LL x

ronnielane · 02/02/2008 11:44

congratulations Angechica and wow about size bet he is so cute, think my baby will be big the midwife said he was about 9lb a week ago ouch! Cant wait to read your birth story and see some piccies.

You go scary hoping that it will happen for you this weekend, glad someone has the energy to do all of that in one day and night .

Sending out vibes to all the yummy mummies left on here.

ayrshirelolo- birthing place sounds wonderful, is it one of those place that only will deal with ladies who are not high risk and wont needs an epiduaral etc. there is one here but bout 30 min drive, I didnt know bout it or I would have gone there to have lo.

betterhalf · 02/02/2008 20:13

Haven't checked in for a while so here's a quick update.

My son was born 25th Jan weighing 9lbs 1 oz. Turns out he was breech so I had to give up on my birth plan of maternity unit and ended up having a c-section. All is well and he's doing wonderfully.

All the best to those still waiting. Your LO's will be so worth the wait when they arrive.

ayrshirelolo · 02/02/2008 20:48

Hello ! Congratulations Angechica and Betterhalf!!!! Delighted for you both, and both big boys!!!
Scary - go girl!!! hope it's all working for you, i've had a strange day, was up most of the night with very painful indigestion / heartburn which wouldn't shift despite rennies, gaviscon etc, and was drinking tea with dh at 2.30am!
Went for a wander this morning round local garden centre and Asda, fely a few twinges, came home for lunch and a bounce(!) and it all stopped again! Went for a sleep and then woke up at 5 with crappy heartburn again!! I wish i knew when this was all gonna get better... also had too many phone calls today asking "what's happening". Dh has been lovely and fielding most of them but i know he's fed up too!!!
Oh dear, what a whinger i am!
Yes, the hospital unit is really if you're low risk and don't want an epi straight away (i had one last time but not till a long way through!!) but i won't get there if we end up with an induction, so fingers crossed it all happens soon. Ronnie it doesn't really matter where you have lo anyway, i don't think. The idea is to end up with a healthy mum and a healthy baby (cliche but true!!!) and sometimes having the security of all the medics there if you need them can be quite comforting! At least that's the idea!
Anyway, hope to hear some news from Madmouse soon, and some details from Mrs McJ soon too!!
Good luck, girls.... will be thinking about you and would be good if we had somemore babies this weekend!!!! lolo x
