The last message I posted seems to have filled up the old thread so I thought I'd start a new one.

Since bump size was our last topic, I thought this might do for a thread title.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
sophiewd · 31/01/2008 15:13

aberdeen -just got a phil and teds from kiddicare.com. Came with a travelcot as well.

nh101andhertwinbeans · 31/01/2008 15:25

My sis has a phil and ted's and loves it. I've always thought it was a bit wierd though, putting the baby in what looks like a hold-all and shoving it under the seat! A friend also has one and an old lady stopped her in the street to say "I really don't think you should be putting your baby in the shopping basket"

Aberdeen if you love to walk I am sure the P&T will be just the ticket!

debinaustria · 31/01/2008 16:19

It's been busy on here today - been thinking about the title for our next thread - but can't think of anything witty enough, but it has to include creme eggs in the title

I have also eaten runny eggs, brie ,a little smoked salmon and prawns.

On the baby things front - we have bought nothing yet. I just keep accosting Mums in the street to look at their pushchairs.I like the look of the P+T (on my shortlist)but really fancied one where baby/toddler can also face you.
Cot I think we'll get from Ikea.
Cradle/moses basket we're borrowing and then the next big thing is car seat.

GardenAngel4 · 31/01/2008 16:25

summer creme egg eaters anonymous?? Creme egg appreciation society?? Will keep thinking.

Anyone have experience of a) jane powertwin and b) buying prams/buggies on Ebay??

makecakesnotwar · 31/01/2008 16:46

I like Creme Egg Appreciation Society...or "How do you eat yours...." which would look quite funny after Due June 2008!!!!!!!

Re: buying stuff have taken same approach a NH and bought most of our stuff on Ebay, as have to get two of everything (not two babies but two houses ). I have moses basket, bedding, towels, baby gym, bouncy chair, baby carrier, pushchair and car seat but have been weirdly superstitious about buying clothes just yet. Have my eye on a swanky new cot though...hdeously expensive Mamas and Papas Ocean. Have to sweet talk DH on that one I think, as it's too new to find one on ebay.

Glad to hear I am not the only big busomed woman...and devourer of creme eggs. Had two on the train home, and they didn't touch the sides. I confess I've been eating whatever I feel like, especially runny eggs as have heard about lion egg thing. Not really a fan of peanuts, so that's not an issue. Latest thing is pickled onions....

SPD officially diagnosed by doc yesterday and she has faxed off urgetnt referral form so will hopefully have firs physio next week. She also mentioned supportive girdle! And told me not to walk up stairs more than necessary...but I live in a three storey house, so easier said than done. Good thing I sorted the Wifi out.

Upsidedowncake · 31/01/2008 16:53

Love 'The Creme Egg Appreciation Society' as thread title, but do we think think it should have 'Due in June 2008' first so that anyone who has been away for a while can find us again ... ?

josey · 31/01/2008 18:07

'The Creme Egg Appreciation Society...memberships expire June 08'

All this talk of creme eggs had me remembering the advert where the pregnant lady dipped her chips in her creme egg it has me sickly wondering what it would taste like

josey · 31/01/2008 18:08

gardenangle my sil has the jane powertwin I think her only problem with it is she keeps having to take wheels off to get it in the car

makecakesnotwar · 31/01/2008 18:19

'The Creme Egg Appreciation Society...memberships expire June 08'

Perfect!

debinaustria · 31/01/2008 18:35

Parofleurmapu · 31/01/2008 18:54

virtual creme eggs for Parofleur, Debs and Ernest

sophiewd · 31/01/2008 19:31

I really really really really don't like creme eggs, does this make me odd

poppy34 · 31/01/2008 20:58

No -I'm not keen on either on them either. Galaxy on the other hand...

Just nipping in to say had 20 week scan today and all went well (yay!) .. and its a girl..

good luck to those that have their scans over the next days.

Off to celebrate now by ordering some maternity clothes

debinaustria · 31/01/2008 21:02

upside down - that's a great site - thank you!!!

Sophie - yes you're odd - I'm sorry!

sophiewd · 31/01/2008 21:04

Congrats Poopy, still got 2 weeks to my scan, doing it laste to combine with consulatant and hopefully be able to find out when they are gping to deliver. I agree with you entirely on Galaxy and am happy as I have just scoffed bowl of Purbeck Serious Chocolate Ice Cream, a brand I can't reccommend highly enough.

I like being odd.

sophiewd · 31/01/2008 21:05

So sorry Poppy not Poopy

Rolf · 31/01/2008 21:51

I'm so pleased for you Poppy. I bet you're one happy momma. ROFL at "Poopy" . A friend of mine has just had his first baby after trying for 7 years - with similarly horrible experiences to you - and I don't think I've ever heard someone sound so happy. I bet it'll be like that for you too.

I like creme eggs and galaxys. And have huge boobs. Just so you all know that I definitely belong here

poppy34 · 31/01/2008 22:10

now debating whether to change my name to poopy...

bitofadramaqueen · 31/01/2008 22:45

Congrats Poppy. My scan is on Monday and have decided not to find out flavour, but everytime I see one of you guys announcing yours it makes me want to know

I got DH to get me a creme egg on way home tonight. Had one earlier today while catching up on MN and now its waiting for me, calling my name...

Sophie - yep, you're a bit wierd but wierd is good . My favourite creme egg is the 'first of the season' - you know, that first time you see them in the shops just after christmas, mmmmmmm.

ChinaSurprise · 31/01/2008 23:37

Evening all. Three more posts and this thread is a bust! Love the new title though. They were selling creme eggs at the train station tonight - three for £1.20. So, erm, I've only eaten one so far, but suspect it will be two tomorrow.
Poppy - congrats on it being a girl! I am trying to rein in on the pink in case the scan was wrong but all I want to buy is tutus and fairy wings!
Gardenangel - was it you asking about the Jane PowerTwin? Was looking at possibly getting a Phil and Teds so that I'd have space for BF/ SIL's kids, or maybe another of our own in the future. The woman in the buggy shop steered me away from the Jane Twin saying it was "very heavy" - just a thought. This is an independent shop, with experienced staff (she knew all the buggies inside out, bless her). I didn't try it for myself and have decided to get a single after all, but thought you'd want to know.
Right, must do some freelancing before I pop off. Got birthdays Friday/ Saturday, so doubt I'll catch up again until we're officially the Creme Egg Appreciation Society. Might have another one now actually...
Night!

debinaustria · 01/02/2008 06:27

I've started the new thread for us with being the 1st one up...come and find it

needahand · 01/02/2008 10:46

Garden Angel my scan is in 30 mn can't wait

Good luck with yours, let me know how it went

needahand · 01/02/2008 13:19

Gosh it is quite here today can't believe my post and the 1000th on this Thread is the last so far. Perhaps we should start a new one.

Back from my scan...and it's a boy. Not sure what to think really. Everything was pretty normal apart from Kindneys so we have to go back at 32 weeks

pedilia · 23/02/2008 17:27

Hey all
