hi all,

have been away, then lurking whilst green with envy (as well as pleased) about other people's scans.

have been feling guilty about getting all the benefit of lurking without posting.

just had our scan and all well. due date now 9.6.05.

also starting to feel semi-human occasionally, although have developed strange craving for lucozade. hope everyone else is/will be feeling better soon.

Welshmum, lucky you for getting so far and not showing...I don't have a discernable 'bump' yet - I'm just looking FAT and the boobies have grown abit (1/2 a cup size only so Jordan has nothing to fear from me, he he he )

If I remember right with ds I suddenly looked pg at about 5 mths, until then I just looked like I'd eaten all the pies! But I've noticed that friends that have had two or more look pg earlier with subsequent pregnancies - at about 4mths, but I guess everyone's different and it all depends on how bean is lying

Hi all,
Yes I was attempting to resurect that meet-up idea. I thought no one had noticed. SO, a weekend in January in London for lunch sounds good to me. We;ll definitely be looking big a nd preggie by then.

Speaking of big and preggie, I tried Blooming Marvelous yesterday in Richmond, and was none to happy to discover all of their jeans are much too tight for my big thighs. So,I settled for a long skirt which seems to fit okay.

Other than that I'm well... except that I think I feel another migraine creeping up. God forbid ANOTHER one! Does anyone else on here get migraines? If so, how are you coping? I'm sooo miserable (or at least expecting to be by about tomorrow). Whinge whinge... I'll shut up now. I wish SOOOOOO bad that I could take a triptan pill... But, it's just too risk. (triptans are migraine medicine, but they are too new to determine if they are safe during pregnancy)

Afternoon all!

Hope everyone had a smashing weekend. I spent most of yesterday morning feeling ill, but after a walk and a spot of lunch everything seemed to settle down again and am feeling ab fab today. I hate all this up-and-down see-sawing though.

Am v jealous of everyone having scans. Can't wait til we have ours (only another 2 and a half weeks). I just want to know everything's ok in there.

I'm not showing at all, although I look so fat (and feel it). Got very upset yesterday when I couldn't find any clothes to fit, so went to Mothercare and bought a pair of maternity trousers that I plan to live in until Christmas!

Lunch in the New Year sounds like a very good plan, as someone said, it'd be a lot quieter and less stressful for everyone I think.

Have a nice afternoon! x

Right then, while we're on a roll about this meet up shall we tentatively set a date? How about Sat 15th or Sat 22nd Jan??

Uwila · 29/11/2004 14:14

New thread, as per Katz fine suggestion.
Due June 2005, Thread 3

Uwila - really sympathise about the migranes - i dont suffer with them but some years back i had one and My god was it awful!!!
JennyWren - sorry about you scan (at least you saw the heartbeat - and get to get another scan )
Welshmum - i look about 5 months gone and i am only 9 weeks!!! (3rd pregnancy for you!!)
Uki - in my humble opinion i think you just had a stomach bug (i really wouldnt worry about the baby - i am sure he/she will be fine - keep drinking loads of fluids so you dont dehydrate. I really dont think it would be m/s at this stage if you havnt felt like this up till now) It isnt necessarily something you have eaten that has made you ill - could just be one of those things.
Mrs Wednesday - poor you feeling increasingly sick at this stage - hope it goes soon!
What are we all like!!!!! Roll on xmas....
Just had the MW round for my booking in appointment. Is it just me or does anyone else feel really weird about having an HIV test done with their bloods ( DH and i have been together 8 yrs and faithful, have 2 healthy children - wouldnt we know if we had HIV!?!?!?) Any way have refused the test - am i being silly??

Uwila · 29/11/2004 14:20

I'm going to pick this up on the other thread, but no Teassie you are not alone in your view of the HIV test.

By the way, I'm starting to look really pathetic over on that thread -- talking to myself!

Uki · 30/11/2004 02:31

Hi All
Just had nuchal scan it took three times to get the right angle(not full enough bladder, too full, then had to fill it to the max to get baby to move) poor little thing looked all squashed after that. Everything good. Thank goodness, still feel a little sick, though it's 42 degrees here today. Can't believe you don't have a bump yet welshmum. I've lost weight now but still have a bump, anyway i seemed to just pop out overnight -woke up and my belly button was more prominent. weird really.
wow it's going to be exciting when we all get to our 18 week scans!!!

teabelly · 30/11/2004 09:10

Uki, we chatterboxes are now over on the number 3 june thread so come and join us...god your temps are high...is it Aus you're in? Glad all went ok on the scan, eventually
