Nope, can't get anything up - just have a grey screen!! Go to your lecture, I'll have a go at seeing what you need to change setting-wise. Wish me luck!

sweetheart · 26/11/2004 13:50

I can't use the messenger though - MSN is soooo much easier - this is confusing?!?!?!?!

Scraggyaggy · 26/11/2004 13:52

Sweetheart - does it work on your comp?

katzguk · 26/11/2004 13:53

katzguk · 26/11/2004 13:54

Hello again

Been to see my lovely GP.He was very sympathetic & told me his wife bled with their first baby until about 16wks.He did say that he would book a scan for me if I thought it would make me feel better, but I decided not too. This may seem a bit strange, but the same thing happened with dd-bled had scan-all ok,2 wks later, bled again hospital refused to scan me so had to wait til 20wks.I just don't want to have a scan, get my hopes up & then have more bleeding & all the worry again. That probably doesn't make much sense, reading it back, but I'm not very good at explaining myself.

Anyway, the bleeding seems to have tailed off into brown gunk (sorry-TMI)now.So hopefully it won't reoccur. If it does,or I get any pain,I'll definately have another scan.

The Dr is ringing me later to let me know if I need an Anti D jab.Lovely, they really hurt.

Thanks for you support & kind thoughts-I'm off to lie in the sofa whilst dd naps now.

Uwila · 26/11/2004 15:27

Glad it's better, Mirage.

sweetheart · 26/11/2004 15:32

Mirage - what do you mean it really hurts!!! I've gotta have Anti D!!!

Oh, brilliant news about the bleeding BTW

Scraggyaggy · 26/11/2004 16:20

Mirgae, don't worry too much. It sounds as though you're over the worst now.

Scraggyaggy · 26/11/2004 16:21

Mirage I meant! oops

megi · 26/11/2004 19:16

All was well at scan today! One baby kicking about and waving! Yippeeee!
I have to go for another scan on Thursday cos baby was 1mm too small to do the nuchal test. The lady was fantastic - she said it was a small measurement - ie good news - but the computer would not accept the crown-rump length of the baby. - An extra scan - horray!

BUBBALOO · 26/11/2004 19:28

megi-really pleased your scan went well.
we were so excited when we went for ours on weds and the baby also waved.
mirage-glad youre feeling a bit better now youve seen your gp and are hopefully over the worst.

Mirage · 27/11/2004 17:48

Megi-fab news about your scan & you are getting another one too!

Sweetheart-sorry,that was tactless of me.I am a big wuss when it comes to needles & as anti d goes in your backside, you can't see it coming,so I tense up.It really is just like any other jab-no worse at all.Have you had bleeding? My GP said that the powers that be are considering anti d jabs for all RH-Neg pregnant women at 28wks,whether they need it or not.I have to say that I'm not keen on that idea.

Its very quiet on here today-hope everyone is ok?

Mirage · 27/11/2004 17:49

Bubbaloo-how wonderful to see your baby wave at you.In all the scans I've had,I've never seen that before. My babies must spend all their time asleep.I'm glad it went well.

Cobweb · 28/11/2004 14:56

Hi girls sorry I have been absent for a while but my pc died on me

I had my 12 weeks scan which was sooooo lovely to see and such a relief for me.

My sickness is still there but just not as fierce, although I am tending to eat often and its the evenings that are still the worst.

Hope you are all ok as I haven't had time to catch up with it all yet.

Lots of love and hugs to you all xxx

Tessiebear · 28/11/2004 17:25

Wow that is spooky Cobweb - i was about to come on and do a "where the hell is Cobweb" post!!!!
Soooo glad you are well - i was starting to worry that something was wrong with your scan. Glad it went well! All this sickness - a girl?!?
I am still feeling like an absolute pile of poo! I am 9 weeks - so hopefully only another few weeks of m/s! How many weeks are you now Cobweb - about 13??

katzguk · 28/11/2004 19:17

well my friends finally had her baby at 11.30pm on friday after 36 hrs of labour!! poor thing. Beautiful baby girl who i got to cuddle today, so glad i've got 6 months to get ready for a new born again!!!

MrsWednesday · 28/11/2004 20:40

Cobweb, so pleased you are ok!!! We've missed you.

Megi, glad your scan went well, and that you get another one free too, great news.

Sorry you are STILL feeling rough Tessiebear, I don't know how you are managing to cope with two other kids to look after as well.

Blimey, your poor friend Katzguk. Here's hoping all of us on this thread have pain-free, two hour labours with no stitches .

Well nothing exciting going on here - still feeling very tired, and am starting to feel increasingly sick too which is weird. Nuchal scan on Tuesday....aargh.

Sweetheart, have you got your scan on Monday? If so, all the very best of luck!

JennyWren · 28/11/2004 22:02

Hi everyone. i had a quick look through the recent messages and I see that some of you remembered, and asked about my scan - thank you! I'm sorry I haven't been on sooner - we went away for the weekend, so this is the first chance I've had to get online. Well, we saw a heartbeat - but that was about it! Our baby has a very stubborn streak!! Apparently, about 1 in 500 women has a uterous that naturally tilts backwards instead of forwards, and I am that 1! The radiographer assured me that it doesn't make any difference to the baby, as when he/she gets bigger it'll all just move into the normal position, but it is a real pain in the neck for getting a good scan picture before 14 weeks, as the uterous, and thus the baby, is so much further back and away from the probe. Normally they get around it by doing an internal scan, but even that didn't work for me as the baby was fast asleep right by my backbone and refused to wake up and move further forward. In the end, he waved at us just before we gave up, so we're pretty sure he is OK, but just shy! The radiographer was great - he said that I was the first woman he had ever had to turn away.. but why did it have to be me?? He said that just looking by eye everything looked OK, but without a clearer picture he couldn't do the measurements and so couldn't give us any risk numbers. But equally, he hasn't charged us for the extra scan, and he's fitting me in at the end of a full clinic so that my dh can come as well, which is good of him. It's not his fault, and he really went out of his way to make me feel OK about it. Anyway, the up side is that we get to go for another scan this coming Thursday. Hopefully, this time my uterous will have grown and been pushed that much further forward, so everything will be OK. I'm really looking forward to seeing a bit more this time. I saw a rough shape, and a heartbeat, but because I had to lie 'just so' to let the radiographer get any kind of picture at all, I couldn't see the screen clearly enough to see anything more. So keep your fingers crossed for me next time...

I'll try to get back on again tomorrow, and I'll read all the messages then, so I'm sorry if I've missed anyone's news this time - but hello to everyone anyway!

Uki · 28/11/2004 23:06

Hi girls
(don't read this if eating) I am a bit worried as i think i have had food posioning i spent sat night throwing up/with diarrea. Sunday all my muscles ached and ate only dry food. I'm now a bit worried about baby have been sooo careful with eveything i've eten and can't believe it. My husband and friend think it's morning sickness or heat stroke. I'm 12 weeks and have had nothing like this before. Is it possible it's m/s ? I've got nuchal scan booked for tomorrow which is really an excuse to see if everythings o.k. Take care all, bye for now uki

katzguk · 29/11/2004 09:18

morning all

hope you feeling better uki if your worried pop and see your gp.

Does anyone else think its time for a new thread?

teabelly · 29/11/2004 09:21

Morning all,

Hope you all had good weekends...I finally started abit of christmas shopping, hurrah - promised myself that I wouldn't leave it all to the last minute like every other year!

Mirage so glad the bleeding seems to have subsided.

Jennywren what a bummer about your scan - hope it goes better this week.

Sweetheart good luck for your scan today.

Uwila...did you mention about a meetup again? We do seem to have forgotton about it! Weekends are fine for me, I think London would be the best place as it seems more of us can get there than anywhere else. However, as I'm sure is the case for everyone else, my weekends up to christmas are now booked up, So how about early in the new year? Also that way it won't be as crowded, and we'd be able to get in somewhere for some lunch alot easier, what do you think?

teabelly · 29/11/2004 09:22

Katz...yeah probably...I'm ok when I sign on at work as we have a super duper connection, but at home it's starting to get a bit slow

welshmum · 29/11/2004 09:53

Morning all,
I'd be up for a spot of lunch in the New Year teabelly. Would be nice to have something nice to look forward to after the excitement of Christmas.
Uki - hope you're feeling better - let us all know how the scan went.
Sweetheart and MrsW hope your scans go really well.

I don't have much to report - apart from the fact that I'm definitely feeling better now. Am at the 13 week mark - does anyone remember when you 'pop out'? noone would guess I was pg at the moment - just a bit of thickening at the waist and big boobs!
