Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
madmouse · 04/12/2007 09:54

MrsMcJnr do you live anywhere near Oxford? I think I need to come and cook your dinner so you can do a catch-up, we're all desperate for one and only yours will do

LilyLoo · 04/12/2007 10:29

Hi all just popping in to see how you all are.
See your still hanging in there Awen
Am feeling very sorry for everyone still working i am absolutely shattered and can't see how i am going to last to the 21st. DP told me to finish now but keep thinking of the nursery fees i will save if i keep going !
Am so emotional though think the lack of sleep and i have terrible cough isn't helping. Started crying yesterday when Asda cocked up my delivery shopping so bless dp he cancelled it and went himself after work
Am loving the ideas for new thread name can't believe it could be last !
Hope all of you on mat leave are taking it easy and having a good rest!
We off to Kent on Sat for the lapland experience although def not looking forward to the drive didn't realise it would be 5 hours
All take care LL X

Amani · 04/12/2007 10:42

Morning all
Just checking in to see how everyone is doing. Had a good morning with getting housework and ASDA shopping done and now have a blissful couple of hours of doing nothing until DD arrives back from nursery . Am so glad we've decided to keep her on at nursries 3 mornings a week - she gets bored so quickly at home and sometimes hangs around by the door saying 'Mummy want to go outside' and feel awful when I am not up to going out.

Lilyloo - have a nice time in Kent.

Battymama - didn't watch that programme on C4. Am too emotional at the moment and did't want the hormones starting on me.

to everyone else.
Hope you ladies are ok.

susiemj · 04/12/2007 10:43

Shall we go for that new thread name? I think we need Amani here to be brave and start the thread!

Have you seen good news about Awen on her thread? She must be exhausted, the poor thing, but sounds like she's taking it well.

My thoughts are there for all of you still working. There's some dark and windy mornings out there! DP was so blown about this morning he left his keys in the door and me asleep in bed. He was very embarrassed! Hang on in there girlies!

I'm still knackered continuously. Don't know if it's HG symptom, medecine or what. Anyone else in bed A LOT? I'm fine but I'm beginning to wonder if it's normal. And anyone else getting sharp muscle pains on whichever side of the bump is being stretched whenyou're turning in bed?

Don't mean to sound whingey - just interested if anyone is the same. I'm perfectly happy curled up with the radio and a good book! (sorry if that image has caused you hard-working girls to go bright red )

madmouse · 04/12/2007 10:46

LilyLoo, I can see where you are coming from, everything is so expensive, but think carefully about how much money you will actually save and whether it is worth it to be completely exhausted now, and right through Christmas. And before you know it your LO will be here (I see your d-day is 5/1). Maybe listen to dp?

susiemj · 04/12/2007 11:05

Grrr - was going to start new thread with the 'Christmas Belles and Boys' name but I can't find it... has someone got a less divvy brain?

p.s. sorry it was mixedmama who started last time!

madmouse · 04/12/2007 11:26

Here it is:

Jingle Belles and Boys are on their way

from AyreshireLolo

I like it too .

MrsMcJnr · 04/12/2007 11:41

Poor attempt at a catch up but here we go (LoLo and Fluffy ? pumping it up with me content )

Sabinar ? I got a bath (with a plug) from Boots for £6, cheapest one I found. Thanks for the positive birth vibes I?ve got my Amby hammock now too and am delighted with it. Is the Moffi assembled?

Fruitful, sorry to hear that you are back in the hospital even if it was part of the plan are you feeling ok, physically and emotionally? Yup, it is a blood clotting issue I have ? glad the lady with the C section was ok poor you about the nits, you are making my hair itch though!!

Amani ? hello there

Katyt1 at least the physio gave you some tips in case you need them. How is your poor friend now?

Naetha ? happy mat leave enjoying it so far? Hurray for your kitchen being nearly there also glad the scan went well re the urine sample - you?ll have to start on the boxes that they offer instead of the pots hon the cats are still in our room but it might have to end, last night I was so uncomfy and couldn?t move at all and it wasn?t helped by the fact that two pussy cats were lying on my bump (though I was on my left side) I feel mean making them move but I need my sleep for work!! Love your photos by the way

oh Awen I read your posts with such anticipation you take care now lovely name hon

Lilyloo ? I have 11 more working days how about you? I am hoping that I won?t be coming back to this job and that we will be moving to Spain in May at which point I will need to get a job. If we haven?t sold up here though, I will have to come back to this job either way, I?ll be a SAHM until May

Ayreshirelolo ? I hope you are not working as hard this week! Yes let?s have an Eastern meet text me some dates

Beller enjoying mat leave? bet you are!

Luckysalem ? don?t worry, they can?t make you do anything in hospital that you don?t want to, what are they going to do about it? They certainly cannot induce your contractions without consent so don?t worry, just stick to your instincts have you read ?Am I allowed?? you can get a copy from the AIMS website. That is totally unreasonable about not waiting for the cord to stop pulsing it won?t be that long and the MW doesn?t have to be with you all the time take that up with the head of midwifery NOW! The pool situation you have is common, first come, first served.

Mixedmama ? glad they gave you a good send off from work

Susiemj ? BRAN benefits, risks, alternatives and do nothing or BRAIN with instincts added in

Fluffy ? good call on the earlier mat leave

Madmouse ? hello sounds like your last day was fun. It would be worth moving to Oxford for you to cook my dinner

Hello Bluebell

Lulubump ? sounds like you need to have some stern words with your colleagues about those calls

Bettymamma ? hello.

Gingeme ? how are you feeling today hon?

Triopletsandtwins ? so glad all is well

So? I have questions?

  1. what are you planning to wear in labour itself?
  2. Anyone into aromatherapy and if so, what are you using/trying?
  3. What baby monitors are you buying?
gingeme · 04/12/2007 11:57

Good morning ladies
Back ache much better today though dh is finnishing off the painting today and Ill help him with the papering tommorrow.
Had my 34 week scan this morning. All is well with baby. Apart from he has a big head but she did explain that it doesnt mean a big round head its where they measure it differently different stages of pregnancy and hes more likely to have a rugby ball shaped head which is what ds3 had. Apart from that baby is all weel and weighs 5lb7oz at the moment
Bettymamma yes all my labours were totaly different. Ill spare you the details though dont want to scare any first timers.
Well this was just a quicky. Going to put ds4 to bed now.
Pop in a bit later.
Take care all xxx

susiemj · 04/12/2007 12:05

Thanks MrsMc. I'm going to wear one of those nighties - but I'll probably be starkers in the birth pool for a fair bit.

Am just going to have a look if anyone started a new thread. If not, I'll do it.

susiemj · 04/12/2007 12:07
