Hey ladies, how are we all? I'm 28 weeks today, had a growth scan and all is well got another in 4 weeks. Can't believe I've hit the third trimester.

@Firevie did you have a scan recently or have one coming up?

Bellabubble · 12/07/2021 19:21

@MrsTD88 I’m all good - 29+1, just merrily plodding along. Can’t wait to get to the end of term though - it’s becoming a hard slog the more tired they get bless them! Baby is moving loads which is nicely reassuring..I find I don’t seem to get as much kicks - more just general moving around. My belly ripples swells in a sea lol!

MrsTD88 · 13/07/2021 18:57

@Bellabubble glad to hear all is going well with you. You're a day ahead of me, I'm 29+1 today! I get lots of ripples too. My bump seems to have got a lot higher the past few days, I think she may have shifted position.

Firevie · 14/07/2021 16:18

Hi everyone! Sorry been quiet on this group. I’m 26+5 today. Scans all well, baby is healthy and growing :)
Unfortunately I have been diagnosed with gestational diabetes. It took me a few days to get my head around it so was away from groups etc. But I’m ok now I think. Annoyed that I have it but I’m being monitored and getting extra scans which is nice! Been a week since my diagnosis. Started testing and changing my diet last Friday so less than a week so early days and a lot of trial and error
Hope you’re all well xx

MrsTD88 · 19/07/2021 13:08

@Firvie glad your scan went well. Sorry to hear you have GD, hope you are managing okay and have lots of support X

vitaminb33 · 19/07/2021 20:23

Hi all! Just catching up, hope everyone's feeling okay.

Sorry to hear about your gestational diabetes @Firevie, pregnancy's hard enough without having blood sugar to manage. Hope it all goes smoothly!

I'm 25 weeks today, had a bit of a scare yesterday as had some mild stomach cramps that weren't going away. Had to go to the hospital where they ran every test but they've all came back clear so far so they let me come home. Still have the stomach pain though, they said I'll have to go back in if it doesn't subside in the next few days so 🤷‍♀️ all feels a little stressful. Just no idea what it could be. Hoping it's just one of those odd pregnancy things.

MrsTD88 · 21/07/2021 12:33

@vitaminb33 oh no that sounds so stressful! How are you feeling today?

vitaminb33 · 21/07/2021 20:39

Thanks for checking in @MrsTD88! The pain continued until today and I was all set to go back in but it suddenly improved in the last few hours, so I'm really pleased and just going to keep an eye on it (so hopefully avoiding another hospital trip) 😅

MrsTD88 · 21/07/2021 21:22

@vitaminb33 that's good to hear, hopefully it stays that way for you now 🤞🏻

Smurf123 · 04/08/2021 22:24

Just checking in to say hi .. hope everyone is keeping well!
My dd arrived 11 days ago after being induced for reduced movements (if you think movements change or reduce go in .. even if you were there just yesterday - it's much better to get checked over just in case).. after 4 days in hospital (they had no delivery beds) I was eventually induced at 38+2.
She is perfect (though I forgot how noisy newborns are!!)
Wishing you all well and hope everything goes smoothly!

MrsTD88 · 04/08/2021 22:40

@Smurf123 congratulations 💕 So glad to hear baby is here safely. I hope you are recovering well and managing to get some sleep!

Bellabubble · 05/08/2021 20:33

@Smurf123 congratulations! Sorry to hear it was a stressful end of the pregnancy, but I’m so pleased that she is hear safe and sound :)

vitaminb33 · 07/08/2021 20:37

@Smurf123 that's wonderful news congratulations! 🎉🎉🎉 what a rough ride but hope you are able to enjoy her/recover now ❤️

marplemead · 08/08/2021 20:49

@Smurf123 Congratulations! I hope you and baby are doing well ❤️

Smurf123 · 08/08/2021 20:53

Thank you all we are doing well.. I can't believe dd is 2 weeks old already!

Firevie · 27/08/2021 08:55

Hi ladies! Just checking in to see how everyone is doing? Any due dates coming up? I’m 33+1 today yay xxx

vitaminb33 · 28/08/2021 14:10

Hi @Firevie! How are you doing? I'd also love to know how everyone's doing.

I'm 30+5 today so still a way off, everything going smoothly (bar the PGP and needing the occasional growth scan).

Bellabubble · 28/08/2021 14:28

Heya! I’m 36weeks tomorrow :) finally got my nursery furniture delivered this morn so currently trying to make flat pack etc (well husband is lol!) I left all my organising u til the summer hols as I couldn’t really concentrate on teaching and organising baby stuff, but then got caught out by the global shipping delays!

I have my first covid vaccine tomorrow (a little nervous as I don’t want a reaction or anything) but I feel like I’m close enough to the end that if something went amiss, bubba would be big enough/strong enough if he or she needed to come early. Been doing lots of hypnobirthing and drinking raspberry leaf tea (meant to help the uterus miscles get toned for pushing etc) I don’t lnow how true it is - but placebos can be effective too so I’m telling myself it works 😉

Hope everyone is doing well x

Firevie · 28/08/2021 14:48

@vitaminb33 yay so good to hear from you! Glad everything is going well! Less than 10weeks to go for you. I feel you on the PGP!

@Bellabubble so good to hear from you! You’re so close!!! Yay to furniture and getting ready! Not long to go fir you at all now. Can’t wait for the baby announcements.

I’m good thank you. Still on my GD journey. Had a growth scan at 31+4 with my private consultant and everything looked great. Baby weighed 3lb 10oz:) so well within range. I’m 33+2today so just about 7weeks to go;) we have started building furniture - got the changing table, cot, pram and couple of clothes. Got my baby shower next Sat and am v excited 😊 xxx

Bellabubble · 28/08/2021 16:51

@Firevie ahh that’s good news about the growth scans! I’m a bit above a cm behind where I should be for bump size, but they’re not concerned - it’s only a paper graph of percentiles so can’t be too accurate but put bubba at about 5lbs 4oz - have another appointment next Weds to collect my colostrum harvesting pack etc. Definitely getting closer lol!

MrsTD88 · 29/08/2021 08:52

Hey ladies, good to hear from you all. I'm 36 weeks tomorrow and finish work on Tuesday 😁 have what I'm hoping will be my final growth scan tomorrow afternoon and should get a c-section date at the same time 🤞🏻 I can't believe how quickly the third trimester has gone by. It seems so long ago when we first joined this thread.

Firevie · 30/08/2021 07:01

@MrsTD88 good to hear from you! Wow 36weeks! Agree can’t believe how far we have all come! Still remember starting the journey with you all and getting anxious before every scan and then happy after evyer single scan :) xxx

MrsTD88 · 31/08/2021 15:42

@Firevie I still got that nervous feeling before everyone growth scan, hated them. My scan was perfect yesterday so section is booked for 3 weeks' time 😱😱

Bellabubble · 31/08/2021 16:10

@MrsTD88 what’s it like knowing the date? I feel like it would be quite exciting!! I’m excited, but there is also a little bit of fear because I don’t know exactly when or how it would feel! 😂 In the same vein, I’d also be nervous about a section just because I definitely get fear of the unknow!! I have been doing a hypnobirthing course though and it has been so amazing for my nerves! I no longer get a flip flop stomach of doom!! But I’m worried about not making it to the hospital on time - I know the midwives at my local hospital tend to tell you to wait hntil the contractions are 3mins apart which will be fine if it’s late at night/not rush hour. If it’s daytime though - my town is constantly backed up with traffic 🙄

MrsTD88 · 31/08/2021 16:41

@Bellabubble it's quite surreal knowing she'll be here in 3 weeks. I think even more so because our daughter was 2 weeks late, I was induced and ended up having a section as my body was just not ready for her to come at all. I'm half convinced this one will make up her own mind and come early 🤣 just to throw a spanner in the works. I've been reading up on VBAC just in case. I'm quite looking forward to a calm, planned section though. I have to go for a pre-op and covid test a few days before, they've offered my husband a covid test too so hopefully those come back negative so I can have visitors.

I'm glad to hear you're not feeling as nervous about it. I think that will definitely benefit you when the time comes and hopefully early morning or late evening so you're not stuck in traffic! X
