@Cafeaulait27 ah I feel you hun! I have had the hips pain for the last couple of days too / new pregnancy symptom for me. Can’t wait for the scan tmr and for DH to finally see and hear his baby boy! It’s only been two weeks since my last scan but tbh the two week wait is always so so long I feel! I sweat it feels like 4 weeks. When is your next scan? Xxx

Garman · 26/05/2021 18:03

@Cafeaulait27 you should try a deep tissue massage or osteopath for your hips, works wonders.

MrsTD88 · 26/05/2021 22:09

@Firevie good luck for tomorrow 💛 I had my 20 week rescan today and all is great. I've been feeling rotten this week, swollen glands and being sick but slowly getting better. X

marplemead · 27/05/2021 16:38

@Firevie hope you're scan went well today.

@Cafeaulait27 I feel your pain! I miss sleeping on my front so much. I just can't get a good night's sleep on my side.

@MrsTD88 That's great about your re-scan & hope you're continuing to feel better.

I had my first dose of the Pfizer scan today. I felt like everything has been working against me getting it, so it's a huge relief. Now I'm hoping I can rebook the 2nd dose for sooner than 12wks.

Garman · 27/05/2021 19:42

@marplemead is it 12 weeks to second Pfizer dose there? Its only 4 weeks here.

marplemead · 27/05/2021 20:48

@Garman Yes, it would only show me dates starting from 12wks when I went to book my second dose. I might try again and see if I can get anything earlier. I wish it was 4wks here. I'd like to have both doses before the 3rd trimester.

Cafeaulait27 · 28/05/2021 16:36

20 week scan went well today! So relieved. He was wiggling, kicking and yawning on the monitor. Everything looked normal and feel like we can relax for the bank holiday now.

How are you all doing? Xx

Bellabubble · 02/06/2021 10:09

I finally got my 20week re-scan appointment (at 23.5 weeks) but only just!! I rang the hospital yesterday as I hadn’t got a letter or a call, rang at 12 and found out my appointment was for 2pm!! They got to see the last few bits of the heart, but baby made the poor lady (who was training and was specially at the heart part of the training) work for it! Finally got some pics - bubba has a chubby belly ☺️ The blob about the chin is their elbow, they had their had up by their cheek! All is good, we don’t know the sex (we weren’t fussed on finding out to be fair - I know my mindset - not knowing will give me more grit and determination during labour 😂) , but baby also chose to not be in a good position for that as it was! I had to lay on the bed in strange ways just so the could see the one angle of the heart they needed!

Awwwww congrats @Bellabubble! And a belated congrats to @Cafeaulait27 too!

MrsTD88 · 03/06/2021 10:03

@Bellabubble so glad all went well, lucky you called when you did! Our first baby was a surprise and it really got us through, especially being overdue and resembling a whale in the middle of a heatwave 🤣 I was a right grumpy woman when I think back!

MrsTD88 · 09/06/2021 08:28

How are we all doing? Group has gone very quiet which I'm hoping is a good thing and we're all content. How far are you all now? 24+2 over here. Have my first growth scan at 28 weeks and have my first Covid vaccine tomorrow!

vitaminb33 · 09/06/2021 11:25

@MrsTD88 good to hear all's going smoothly! Everything's good my end, although experiencing a new (and unfun) pregnancy symptom of near constant heart palpitations - has anyone else had this? My GP is checking it out but isn't worried. It's really aggravated by even minor stress so is making life a bit difficult, I almost passed out just buying something on eBay the other day 😅

On the bright side I'm 19+2 so have my 20 week scan next week (thinking about it gives me heart palpitations but glad it will be over soon!) and I've finally managed to schedule my vaccine for next Saturday too which is a big relief.

Hope everyone's doing okay!

MrsTD88 · 09/06/2021 21:27

@vitaminb33 oh no that sounds awful and very stressful for you!

That's exciting, what day is your scan?

I'm a bit nervous about my vaccine but haven't heard any horror stories of pregnant women so I'm sticking with that.

Garman · 10/06/2021 03:11

I've had the vaccine and was fine after it, beats getting covid in third trimester anyway!

I'm 19+4, 20 week scan isn't for another 2 weeks. Its really dragging, we're waiting for that to see if all is okay before we tell anyone and our dc.

Firevie · 10/06/2021 06:37

Hi ladies! Good to hear from you. Good luck for your 20week scans! I had mine and sonographer was a bit of an idiot so had to go twice and saw the consultant in the end who signed me off last Friday. All good with the bubba! So I started telling people last Saturday which was really nice to be able to finally share the news. I’m 22weeks today. Had my first moderna shot at week 20, will get my whooping cough this Saturday and have my second moderna shot scheduled for week 28th which will be 22nd July. I’ve also started feeling flutters in my belly which I absolutely love. I’m continuing to see my private doctor as obv the sonographers and midwives just mess me about. I’m going to see my private consultant today. I have anemia though so I assume he will ask me to take supplements. Xxx

Garman · 10/06/2021 11:17

@Firevie I wouldn't be surprised if I'm anaemic too, my iron can fluctuate a lot between fine and very low. I started taking spatone to see if it'd make a difference to the tiredness and other symptoms until I see my midwife the day of the scan, my next hospital appointment isn't until late July, but that'll just be with the same midwife anyway.

Last night DH felt it moving on the outside, first time he's managed to. We're still very low key about the whole thing and he says he's just staying neutral about it all until the 20 week scan, so it was more just a "oh yeah" moment for us than anything major!

MrsTD88 · 10/06/2021 13:17

@Garman that's my thinking too! Unfortunately had it last year and would never want to be that sick in pregnancy. I found after the 20 week scan time has gone so much faster.

@Firevie glad all is good with baby but a shame you were messed around. Love feeling movements it makes everything seem so real. Good luck with your appointment today.

Bellabubble · 13/06/2021 11:47

Hello ladies! I hope you all have some lovely weather where you are (and are able to enjoy it!) I’m loving the warmth as an eternally cold person lol!

I just wanted your opinion on something (as a friend has just worried me a little!) Yesterday I had a migraine - I don’t get them often, but they always present the same way. I’m lucky in that I don’t get much head pain - it is more pressing/pressure behind my eyes - but I do get a zig zag bright flashy disturbance in my vision. I have had these every few years since I was 15, so didn’t think anything of it, especially as it came after a week of bad sleep and me having to use a computer a lot in the evening (writing reports!) which are triggers for me. My friend said flashing visual disturbances can be a sign of pre-eclampsia so I should have called 111 or my midwife. I said to her I would bring it up at my appointment this Weds (I have a 9am midwife appointment) but she thinks I should do something about it now, even though my migrane has gone. Up until now everything has gone well - they have no concerns, growth is in an average percentile etc etc - and technically I don’t have any of the things that put you at a risk of pre-eclampsia (although I know that people can still buck the trend!) My mum is an ex nurse so I could get her to take my blood pressure as an extra precaution today. I guess I just wondered whether anyone who had already suffered with migranes, still got them when pregnant!

Garman · 13/06/2021 15:48

You should still get it checked just in case, I had pre eclampsia, have none of the risk factors, and the only symptom I had was swelling, until BP and urine were checked. So either get your mum to check BP or contact midwife to check bp and urine.

MrsTD88 · 14/06/2021 13:50

Hey @Bellabubble loving the warmer weather here too!

I think definitely get it checked to be absolutely sure. The midwife may just agree with you that it is something underlying but no harm in checking for sure. X

Bellabubble · 14/06/2021 21:36

Thank you ladies! My mum did my blood pressure and all was fine, and I called in after work today to double check (we got the Ofsted call - so thought if ot was going to be high it would probably be after that 😂) so it seems ok, but luckily I am seeing my midwife Weds morning so will definitely talk about it with her then x

vitaminb33 · 18/06/2021 08:53

Hope all was okay @Bellabubble! I always feel like I'm overreacting but good to get checked.

vitaminb33 · 18/06/2021 08:55

Hope everyone's doing okay!

I'm having a bit of a rough morning, have my 20 week scan later today and not coping very well with it. Haven't slept much. I thought with all the movement I would feel better but I think scans are just such a sore spot! Hoping the day passes quickly.

MrsTD88 · 18/06/2021 13:02

@vitaminb33 what time is your appointment? I hate the anxiety before a scan, it gets me so worked up. Quite annoyed I have to have growth scans this time round because I feel the stress before outweighs the reassurance.

vitaminb33 · 18/06/2021 13:35

@MrsTD88 yeah it's definitely the same for me, I know lots of people find them reassuring but I think I would absolutely be okay with not having any more. How often do you need them?

My appointments not until 3, I have an absolute tsunami of negative thoughts but it's not too long to wait now 😅
