@Garman great timing then! Whereabouts are you based? Xxx

Garman · 19/05/2021 22:22

Ireland ☘️

Garman · 20/05/2021 11:32

I felt movement from the outside last night, a good bit of reassurance while I'm now in that place of not feeling so sick (managed well with knowing when and what to eat!), still looking the same, not feeling movements regularly yet, etc. It's all the way over on the far right of my abdomen since the beginning, I don't think the other two were like that.

Hope everyone is doing well today.

Cafeaulait27 · 22/05/2021 10:22

That’s great @Garman! How far along are you again? Sorry I can’t keep up!

I just booked my covid vaccine for next week, looking forward to it xx

Bellabubble · 22/05/2021 10:43

I’m still waiting on my anomaly re scan date lol..but i guess it is a baby boom year so more busy than normal!! I have a killer sinus style headache today. I’m wondering whether my body has had an extra influx of blood over the night or something - it’s behind my forehead and around my eye socket..my cheeks are pink like i get when i have sinus infections too, sooooo much pain :( On a happier note..I finally felt brave enough abd ordered a stroller this week :)

Garman · 22/05/2021 12:13

@Bellabubble you can use a steroid nasal spray as well as paracetamol for a sinus headache, I've had to all the time.

@Cafeaulait27 I'm 17 weeks tomorrow. Got called yesterday for my covid vaccine tomorrow morning!

MrsTD88 · 22/05/2021 12:22

@Bellabubble oh no that's been ages! Have you chased them about it? My re scan is on Wednesday night at 7pm (they've started doing evening appointments here to catch up with the baby boom backlog)

Firevie · 23/05/2021 04:49

@Garman good luck for your covid jab today! Will you be getting the Pfizer do you know? Do you already have your date for the second jab?
@Cafeaulait27 when is your covid jab next week? I have mind on Thursday after my 20week scan xxx

Garman · 23/05/2021 07:35

Don't know if Pfizer or Moderna until I get there, no date yet for second one, just git appt for this one Friday afternoon by phone

Garman · 23/05/2021 07:35

*got

Firevie · 23/05/2021 07:50

@Garman ah ok! We got to book our second one at the same time but it’s in 12weeks so I’ll ask if I can get mine sooner given I’m pregnant. Good luck for your appointment this afternoon xx

Cafeaulait27 · 23/05/2021 08:04

@Firevie good luck for your jab and scan! My 20 week scan is on Friday and jab on the Saturday! Xxx

vitaminb33 · 23/05/2021 08:47

Congrats on all the covid jabs!

I'm very jealous, I had a midwife appointment this week and she told me I should hear about it soon but I think because the area I live in is skewed generationally (not a lot of young people) it might take forever. It's a little selfish but I really wish they'd give pregnancy some priority, especially after the recent study.

I've been feeling occasional movements which is reassuring! The midwife also listened to the heartbeat during the week (which I also found very stressful but it wasn't as anxiety inducing as a scan). I'm generally feeling a little calmer although I'm sure my anxiety will ramp up for the anomaly scan.

Firevie · 23/05/2021 09:11

Thanks @Cafeaulait27
@vitaminb33 totally feel you. My 20week scan is on Thursday and I’m getting so impatient! Although I had a scan at 18weeks and all measurements, heartbeat was perfect and he was moving a lot. I haven’t felt my first flutter yet so just impatient to feel that though I do have tummy grumbles so I wonder if it could be that too. Not sure what I’m looking out for xxx

Garman · 23/05/2021 10:26

@Firevie the first movements are often like flutters, like a butterfly low down, or little pops, for me this time I got little clicks/knocks deep inside my pelvis. Each time I've felt it (3 pregnancies) it's been distinctly a feeling I never felt before, like being poked but from the inside out!

Vaccine all done at 9am, back in 4 weeks for the second. Really wish I could show off that I've had my vaccine but that would involve telling people I'm pregnant 😂

Firevie · 23/05/2021 10:28

@Garman well done for getting your vaccine and so good you’re getting your next one in 4weeks!!!
Thanks for explaining flutters. I’m a FTM so my doctor said it could be more like 20-25weeks. I take comfort in seeing him move lots on the scan but still can’t wait to actually feel him xxx

Garman · 23/05/2021 11:14

I felt dc1 at 16 weeks then nothing consistent until 21+ weeks, dc2 was 19+ weeks before I felt anything at all, bucking the usual trend of earlier each time! But then much earlier with this one at 14 weeks. By the end of it then the huge movements make your stomach lurch and you can't imagine ever having waited for tiny movements 😄

Firevie · 23/05/2021 11:39

@Garman thank you ☺️ xxx

Cafeaulait27 · 23/05/2021 12:17

How old are you @vitaminb33? I’m 33 so I just went online and booked as it says on the news that 32 and up can book now. I didn’t wait for a letter or anything. Apparently when you put your name in now it knows your pregnant now too which makes it easier, it only showed me places doing Pfizer and moderna jabs xx

Garman · 24/05/2021 12:59

No side effects at all after the vaccination other than a slightly sore arm, delighted!

vitaminb33 · 24/05/2021 13:22

Congrats @Garman!

Ahhh thanks @Cafeaulait27 I'm 29 so that is getting pretty close! I'm glad they've figured out a system for showing the right jabs too!

@Firevie with my first I definitely didn't feel anything until well after 20 weeks and I think the first thing I felt was what felt like tiny bubbles popping very low down. It's definitely easier to feel this time but I imagine that's because my stomach muscles have entirely given in 😅 I'm showing much earlier too. Personally I dislike most aspects of pregnancy but movements (especially later on) were my one bright spot

Cafeaulait27 · 24/05/2021 14:09

That’s great @Garman!

@vitaminb33 ahhh you’re still a whipper snapper! I suppose it’ll get to 29s and over in a few weeks or so.

I’ve been feeling loads of movement this week. It’s so strange as it’s my first baby and anterior placenta but I’m not complaining! I think there must’ve been a growth spurt, as it’s progressed from flutters every now and again to actual kicks that can be seen on the outside. It pretty much happens whenever I’m sat still relaxing like in the evening watching tv or chilling in bed in the morning at the weekend. I feel very lucky to be feeling him as I’ve been so anxious. I’m 20 weeks on Wednesday and scan is on Friday xx

Firevie · 24/05/2021 16:09

@Garman ah great news!
@vitaminb33 ah thanks hun! Yes my midwife and doc has also said it could well past week 20. I’m just so excited to feel him as I enjoy it so much when I see him wiggle on the ultrasound.
Xxx

Firevie · 26/05/2021 15:13

Ladies! How’s everyone doing? I have my 20week scan tomorrow morning and for the first time DH will be able to come with me. Can’t wait for DH to see our baby boy live wiggling and hearing his strong heartbeat ❤️❤️❤️ Xxx

Cafeaulait27 · 26/05/2021 15:48

Eeeek good luck @Firevie ❤️ I’m feeling ok just not really sleeping - loads of peeing still and very uncomfortable on my side. It really hurts my hips, I toss and turn all night. Pregnancy pillow doesn’t really help. I miss sleeping on my front so much but I know it’ll all be worth it in the end!

How are you feeling about the scan? Xxx
