kayla Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow baby number two! and Katie is such a lovely name you have to post a picture! I'm soooo broody now i could explode! Also i'm really glad that you got the birth that you wanted!

I'm 36 weeks tomo. I'm determind to have this baby in the next two weeks and still getting twinges in my back. We're Still not moved in yet... Little bit stressed but i'm sure it will be fine. I've told DP that we HAVE to be moved in by Wednesday.

aikigypsy · 20/10/2007 14:06

Congratulations Kayla!!! Woohoo! Do post some pictures.

Capecodder -- I have tried the perineal massage a couple of times, but not regularly. I got a bit itchy down there and thought the massage might have something to do with it. I couldn't work out how to get my fingers in, so wound up just using my thumb. It hurt a bit in a stretching kind of way, but I think that means I need it!

Also to those of you who have finished work. I plan to continue at my silly little part-time job for another week or two, but am starting to want to just stay home and nest.

sparklygothkat · 20/10/2007 14:10

YA!!! well done kayla.. sorry about lack of capitals etc, am feeding callum

right off to start the postnatel thread!!

sparklygothkat · 20/10/2007 14:21

postnatal thread here!!

fiona76 · 20/10/2007 14:26

I've tried perinuim massage and its not pleasant I'm going to get DH to do it for me as I find it hard to reach as well.

fiona76 · 20/10/2007 14:30

Congrats Kayla!!!!!

Easywriter · 20/10/2007 14:40

I take it this is still the right place to post ( or is it).

Kayla! Well done you, what lovely news! I'm so glad that things went well for you!

JARM · 20/10/2007 14:59

YAY KAYLA!!!

WELL DONE YOU! A girl and a boy so far then!

Sparkly - gonna be good having someone to chat to now!!

Am shattered.... really regret being up late again last night, but to be fair, spent 3.5hrs at a mates this morning, child free (bar the bump!) and had a good old catch up - was ace!!!

DH has taken himself off to Morrisons now though as an escape from the kids - my dad is upstairs wallpapering the girls room, so its me on here and kids running wild!!!

jetgirl · 20/10/2007 15:28

Congratulations Kayla! My DH has even got into the habit of asking if anyone else on this thread has had a baby yet, he sends congrats too. And so pleased you had the birth you wanted. I can't stop smiling for you!!!

iris66 · 20/10/2007 16:06

Kayla - Wow!!!! and there was I thinking you were just too busy enjoying your DH's return to post
Fantastic news. I'm soo pleased for you getting a beautiful new daughter

ELB1 · 20/10/2007 16:27

Congratulations KaylaBMummy!! Well done to you for the birth you wanted. I am sooooo jealous - am very very broody now.

tonysmum · 20/10/2007 17:27

Many congratulations Kayla!
Can't wait to meet my LO now.

choudru · 20/10/2007 17:29

OH MY GOSH - I MISSED A BIRTH!!!!

Kayla - congratulations! I'm sooo so jealous of you. I want my baby here now!!!

When are you going to post some photos?

I am 38+1 today. No sign of labour yet. Have gone a bit spaced out though. It's a gorgeous autumn afternoon here in Leeds - beautiful autumn glowing sunshine, leaves on the ground, people walking around with their winter coats on and red noses etc. It's so lovely and peaceful and I have such a sense of calm. It feels like one of those afternoons that will always stay in my memory. Hormones eh?

DH and I went out to see Stardust last night, leaving DS with my mum. Back ached all the way through the film but I must admit it did have me LOL quite a few times. Robert De Niro is priceless in it.

Also spoke to my friend in London who had a 2nd DS a week ago. She's sent me some photos and I have basically melted into a heap of mush at sight of him. Now Kayla's news has made me worse!

I am so ready to have this baby.

capecodder · 20/10/2007 17:55

Kayla,

A huge congratulations and it sounds like it was such a positive and magical experience- that it made me feel a bit tearful (in a happy way). What wonderful news.

Pixiefish · 20/10/2007 18:04

Fab news Kayla. On all accounts- the birth and also little Katie

nykate · 20/10/2007 18:33

Congratulations, Kayla! I'm so glad everything went well for you! Looking forward to hearing all about Katie

Anna- what a relief your guests are gone and you can reclaim your space! Your celebration sounds perfect!

ELB1- Congrats on being finished with work. Time to relax

Capecodder- I've also wondered about perineal massage, but can't really reach there myself and not too motivated to ask DH. My ob who delivered DD2 massaged my perineum with oil during labor, but as I'd had an epidural, it wasn't uncomfortable at all (except maybe for DH who was watching and thought it was weird ). It was my first delivery and I only had a slight tear, so maybe it was helpful after all. I have read that it is not as useful if it's not your first child.

AnnainNZ · 20/10/2007 19:05

Congratulations KaylaBMummy. Fab fab fab. The babies will be coming thick and fast soon, we'll be popping them out daily!

izyboy · 20/10/2007 19:24

Congrats Kayla so pleased for you

ChocolateHobnob · 20/10/2007 19:40

Hi Kayla and CONGRATULATIONS!

I love the name Katie, but it's so close to my name that it would be egotistical for me to call our lo that. And well done for getting the birth you wanted.

I've been nesting today - I think - well tidying anyway. I've also been shopping... and eating... haven't had a Wispa yet though - miracle. Off to see rugby though to be honest I don't understand it at all!

Have a good evening all!

RGPargy · 20/10/2007 20:03

Berry - hope you do get moved in by Wednesday. House moving is sooooo stressful. At least you wont have to do any humping tho (of furniture, that is ).

aiki - hang in there. It wont be long til you've finished for good will it. Just make sure you dont over do it!

Sparkly - well done on starting the post-natal thread. I will be keeping an eye on it although i'm not sure i'll post anything as officially i dont belong there (yet).

choudru - wow the scene around you sounds very peaceful and serene. I'm quite ! All we've had all bloody day is the neighbourhood kids kicking a football around on the little green outside the front of our house. I dont mind that as much coz they use one of those soft plastic balls and not a real football. What i DO object to is the SCREAMING at the tops of their voices! 7 boys all literally SCREAMING and being noisy. DP was working in LO's room today and had to shut the window because of their noise! I know boys will be boys etc but there's only so much racket anyone can take lol. Still, we have planning permission to put in an access driveway right across the middle of the green to our house. That'll stop 'em. [Victor Meldrew Emoticon]

Choc - i've been tidying up today too - well, i cleaned the bathroom and that wiped me out! Haven't had one of my Wispas today yet either, but i have put my tiny one-glass bottle of pink fizz into the fridge. That'll be nice later when England win the rugby again (!!)

JARM · 20/10/2007 20:14

hi all

didnt do much this afternoon. DH got back from shopping, i lay on the bed to "rest" and fell asleep!

Had a lovely dinner cooked by DH and the girls room is now completely wallpapered!!!

Went for a stroll along the prom tonight after tea, all dark, the moon shining off the sea and the twinkle lights lighting up the prom - it was gorgeous. Wrapped the girls up and let them run around a bit to tire them out, and they are now asleep! Must do that more often, it was so peaceful listening to the sea - although always makes me think of my (late) mum so tend to get a little emotional!

Hope you are all doing well.... roll on more births! Its getting exciting now - im just not sure i can wait another 5 weeks!!!

RGPargy · 20/10/2007 20:21

Sounds like you had a lovely afternoon/early evening Jarm!!

I also had a nap earlier but i still feel really tired!! Why is that, i wonder?
