Thank you! I'll give it a go from next week. 😁

Margo34 · 29/08/2020 18:15

Congrats @Piper1879

My DH and I went to visit friends today a bit over an hour away, DH asked if I wanted to put my hospital bag in the car just in case and I was like Nahhh, not yet still got 4 weeks til due date. He went all a bit quiet and it didn't occur to me until we were walking out the door, 'would YOU like me to put my hosp bag in the car?' and the response was 'ummm, yes please.' 😂

TJ17 · 29/08/2020 18:20

Well so much for waiting til September!

Waters went today, only a slow trickle all day but I had to come to hospital and they confirmed was deffo waters.

I'm being kept in overnight for monitoring now and if labour doesn't happen naturally I'll be induced tomorrow! Midwife said I won't be leaving the hospital without a baby 😅
Had tightenings but nothing that painful yet.

Feeling a little emotional right now, DH not allowed in due to Covid (til active labour whenever that could be!) and I've barely seen my DS today as he had his first overnight stay at nannys last night and has just been shipped off back there! 😭 I miss him so much already. I hope I'm not in here too long it will kill me not seeing him for ages.

But on the plus side at least we get to meet our baby girl soon! I'm hoping sooner than later as I am such a home girl. I hate being away from DH and DS

LatteLover12 · 29/08/2020 18:22

Ooh @TJ17 good luck, hopefully things will progress for you soon.

ShiningStarz · 29/08/2020 18:26

Lots of luck @TJ17. Your son will no doubt be spoilt rotten at his nannies. Take care of yourself xx

Lazydaisydaydream · 29/08/2020 18:43

Wow that's so exciting @TJ17!! Hope everything goes well and that your baby girl doesn't need any extra help. Flowers

Smilymami · 29/08/2020 20:05

@Piper1879 congratulations girl.. he is just so adorable. I'm so broodyyy.
@TJ17 good luck.. whatever the method, I hope you have a smooth labour with a healthy baby at the end of it.
I was in full nesting mode today.. cleaned and organised so much my whole pelvis feels broken. My on/off contractions are still going on.. so tired now.

UrsulaSings · 29/08/2020 20:12

So nice to see the babies starting to come!

flameprincess · 29/08/2020 20:35

Oh wow all the babies are arriving in force, good luck @TJ17 !! I'm not looking forward to being separated from my DS either, with the section I'll be in two days at least and he's not allowed to visit :(

I'm just a ball of unstable hormones at the moment - so uncomfortable at night I can't sleep and I tried to nap today but the neighbor decided he was going to powerwash his drive for 3 hours so I had a meltdown. DP just ran me a bath and did me a chamomile tea to get me out the way I think Blush

Lazydaisydaydream · 29/08/2020 21:01

@flameprincess oh God the hormones... I cried while reading my DS one of his books today. No idea why, its not a sad story and I've read it hundreds of times before but today it just got to me Blush

TJ17 · 29/08/2020 22:07

Thanks all! Contractions ramping up a little but not unbearable yet. I think it's going somewhere though so that's good news! Good luck to everyone else!x

glasha87 · 29/08/2020 22:30

These threads move so quickly - oh my!

Congratulations to all those who’ve met their beautiful little ones ❤️

Lilice · 29/08/2020 23:22

Good luck @TJ17 hope you have a quick and safe delivery !

Lorna198 · 30/08/2020 01:22

@MooseWL we are doing pretty good thank you. He’s sleeping well in the day but I fear I’ve turned him in to a night owl while growing him lol. He’s eating plenty and weighed in at 5lb today So happy he is gaining.

@TJ17 good luck mate! Hope it’s going well for you!

sianyflewog · 30/08/2020 04:05

Good luck @TJ17!

Pregnancy insomnia hits again. Lying awake thinking about whether or not we should move house, and finances. Please brain, switch off!

HugeAgeGap · 30/08/2020 04:10

@sianyflewog I find it difficult to switch off my brain at night anyway let alone when pregnant!! I've just moved house (into my parents as can't find anything we want to buy yet) and I don't recommend it 😂

I'm up because I woke up for the toilet but have the WORST cystitis pain I'm now sat on the sofa trying to drink back a load of water 😩

sianyflewog · 30/08/2020 05:01

@HugeAgeGap I’m still up too! We have a 3 bedroom semi currently, and it’s fine, but I would like more room for the children’s stuff (fed up of it taking over my living room). There was a house we really liked went up for sale earlier this week which was playing on my mind, but luckily it’s sold so I don’t have to keep thinking about it. 2.5 hours later though I’m still wide awake and know H will be up in 2 hours, so I really do need to go back to sleep!
Hope you’re ok, keep flushing with water! Xx

HugeAgeGap · 30/08/2020 05:04

@sianyflewog we were in a 3 bed semi as well and the bedrooms were quite small so I had exactly the same thing with the toys! We had lots our in the summerhouse in the garden which is fine in Spring/summer but lots for ruined out there in the cold and damp winter. Am hoping our next house will have room for a play room - that's the dream 😂

Just drunk a pint of water now so waiting to go to the toilet again in the hope that eases the burning and I can go back to bed 🛌 xx

Emmy2020 · 30/08/2020 06:09

Finally have the crib put together and ready, just moved to the corner for now so I can still get out of bed! Just got to wash the sheets that I bought so I can put those on it. 😊

ShiningStarz · 30/08/2020 06:23

@Lorna198 I'm so with you!! Our little one is calm with gentle movements from morn to around 10pm and then it's party time !!! Goes crazy can feel it all over the bump like it's having a good dance 🤣🤣

@Emmy2020 I have the snuzpod set up and in the corner too!! Not sure how I will get out of bed when it's actually set up as a next to me!!

ShiningStarz · 30/08/2020 07:16

@Emmy2020 all set up too 💜

September 2020 6 - we are (almost) ready babies!
MooseWL · 30/08/2020 08:02

Ahhh I really need to set my next to me up but first need to get the pram out of the way I have no idea where I'm going to store it downstairs it's huge which is why it's been taking up most of the bedroom.

This may be a really daft question but I thought the point of a next to me with the was good for feeding in the night and being able to put the baby back after without lifting etc. But then don't babies need a nappy change after every feed anyway in the early days anyway, how does that work?! My changer is in a separate room so I feel like I'll be getting up anyway a lot in the night?

Is anyone else struggling with side sleeping? I'm just too big now and either get horrible hip pain or pins and needles in my arms from crushing them! I think I'm looking forward to front sleeping even more than wine 🤣

Emmy2020 · 30/08/2020 08:03

@ShiningStarz Looks great! Yeah me neither although maybe it’ll be easier once the baby is here? Think I’ll have to get out of bed by getting out of the bottom of the bed!
Baby currently moving so high up it’s hurting my ribs!

MooseWL · 30/08/2020 08:04

Also how many sets of sheets do you all have for the baby bed? I've only got 2 so far and know i need more but not sure how many to order!

annie1994 · 30/08/2020 08:05

@TJ17 good luck! Fingers crossed a smooth labour for you 🤞🏼
