I finish in one hour and 15 minutes and cannot wait 🥳🥳🥳🥳

Good luck @Franny0696

@Piper1879 thinking of you!

Lilice · 28/08/2020 17:46

@ShiningStarz thanks for the breathing tips ,I'll look into positive birth stories now that I'll have more free time. Im not packing any long sleeve vests, just the short sleeve ones but im only taking sleepsuits with me. I forgot about the socks, oops!

LatteLover12 · 28/08/2020 18:04

Good luck @Franny0696!

Hope you're okay @Piper1879

Got my section date today; baby will be arriving on the 16th!! So excited 😁😁😁

sianyflewog · 28/08/2020 19:34

Ooooh day after me @LatteLover12!

What baby monitor has everyone bought? I have spent months reading reviews and I am going round in circles x

MostlyAmbridgeandcoffee · 28/08/2020 19:51

@Franny0696 good luck! Look forward to the updates ! Anyone else feeling anything ?!

MooseWL · 28/08/2020 19:56

So jealous of you all finishing work today! I've still got 2 weeks left and it's so busy at the moment trying to get everything finished it's a nightmare! I've got enough flexitime to work 5 hour days on my last week which will be great but don't know how I'll have time to do everything I need to if I do that!

My parents came down to visit this evening and my mum took one look at my spare room with pram and cot and furniture everywhere and all the baby washing and told me off and told me I really need to get organised 🤣
I only work well with a deadline and as there's no knowing when he'll arrive that's not very useful for me!!

MooseWL · 28/08/2020 19:58

@lazydaisydream hope you're doing okay after yesterday 🤞🏻

MooseWL · 28/08/2020 19:59

@lazydaisydream hope you're doing okay after yesterday 🤞🏻and @piper1879 hope today went well looking forward to more baby announcements! Xx

sianyflewog · 28/08/2020 20:12

@MooseWL We haven’t decorated our nursery yet! She won’t be in there until March so it doesn’t feel like the massive rush that it did when we were expecting our first 🙈
Have you packed that bag yet? 1 week to go 😛

Franny0696 · 28/08/2020 20:33

Thanks everyone! Lost more plug this afternoon but haven't had any contractions or anythifn since 3am this morning... so strange keep getting twinges & shooting pains but other than that. Feel like I got my hopes up!

MooseWL · 28/08/2020 20:46

@sianyflewog I'm not so bothered about the nursery but we're planning on moving into the spare room as the bedside cot will fit better so really do need to sort that... And wash the baby clothes.
I think I may need an extension with the bag already 🤣 as the builders are in doing the bathroom until next Saturday. Maybe I'll start it as soon as they're gone (I know I'm terrible!)

sianyflewog · 28/08/2020 21:18

This baby feels like she’s trying to escape today - so active, and strong movements!
I’ve just put together my son’s Playmobil castle that his baby sister has bought for him, and I threw my sandwich bagged outfits, some nappies and wipes into a bag earlier so I guess I’m half ready 🙈

ShiningStarz · 28/08/2020 22:08

I feel weird around my lower back and bum area, not sore or crampy but just a different feeling almost like I need to do a no2 but I don't!! Sound familiar anyone?! . Mmmm 🤔

ShiningStarz · 28/08/2020 22:09

Lol @MooseWL you are so chilled!! I made a zillion lists and keep checking the bags 🤣🤣

sianyflewog · 28/08/2020 22:29

@ShiningStarz Is baby head down? I know a few of my friends said during birth they felt like they needed a no 2, so is baby maybe putting pressure on your bowel? I’m just guessing as I had a breech baby previously.

ShiningStarz · 28/08/2020 22:31

@sianyflewog hey yeah head down and back to my front (head down). It's odd but I'm sure it'll pass :)

flameprincess · 28/08/2020 23:00

@MooseWL I really feel for you these last couple of weeks have been such a slog - been SO tired and not with it at all. I'm just glad I had enough leave saved to go a bit early. Fingers crossed it flies for you and you'll be joining the rest of us soon!

liquoricecravings · 28/08/2020 23:41

@Emmy2020 we've been decorating the hallway too. I've been painting the bits I can reach on a low ladder as like you I just really want to get it done. We've spent a couple of years decorating and renovating and this is the last room to finish. It'll be worth it and as my maternity leave officially starts in Tuesday I've got time to rest before the baby comes.

Piper1879 · 29/08/2020 04:57

Hi hope everyone's ok ! Yesterday was very eventful , almost didn't get my section as there was a few emergencies that took priority however at 4:28 , Baby Kairo was delivered by gentle section, he was weighed 7lb 9oz , so not as big as I thought. The section itself was simply amazing , I don't know if you can call surgery fun but I really enjoyed the experience and I have wonderful memories of the whole birth

Piper1879 · 29/08/2020 04:59

At least the hat I knitted fits him 🤣

Hi @sianyflewog

We went for the BT monitor this time round (highly recommended by a friend who's used it for both her DC)
Haven't used it myself yet but I find having a camera invaluable for peace of mind! We didn't have a camera for DS but ended up buying a cheap one and using it alongside our monitor so gone for a proper one this time.

Awww congratulations @Piper1879 he's beautiful 😩🥰 love that he's sucking his thumb, so precious ❤️

TJ17 · 29/08/2020 05:10

@Piper1879 glad your birth went smoothly.
It must have been a long wait not knowing if you'd get a slot or not!

I'm getting so broody looking at that pic, it may set us all off into labour 🤣

ShiningStarz · 29/08/2020 05:12

Congrats @Piper1879 !! What a pic 💙 beautiful XX

Lazydaisydaydream · 29/08/2020 06:14

Oh my goodness @Piper1879 he's gorgeous!! Congratulations!! Glad your section went well.

Also love the hat... My sons head was so big none of the hats I had knitted for him fit so I haven't bothered this time haha.

moonriver32 · 29/08/2020 06:16

Congratulations @Piper1879! 😁
