That's pretty amazing @Roxy8203 !! I hope I can get a few syringes from Monday and before d day !!

ShiningStarz · 27/08/2020 23:13

@UrsulaSings lol 🤣🤣

Roxy8203 · 27/08/2020 23:54

It definitely helps to make sure you are warm and maybe a little massive just to free it all up a bit. Did you see the link to the tens instructions I posted ?

ShiningStarz · 28/08/2020 06:37

Yep thanks @Roxy8203 although it seemed to finish abruptly. My partner and I went through the step by step instructions it came with last night so he's confident he can control the unit for me! I didn't want to test it on the hand and waste pads. Roll on the 1st!!! Xx

ShiningStarz · 28/08/2020 06:37

Hugs hugs hugs @Piper1879 💜

ShiningStarz · 28/08/2020 07:55

Quick question! The one item I haven't bought is long sleeve vests. I have sleeveless vests in NB and up to 1 month short sleeved. Will I need long sleeve vests and bottom in hospital? Early on? They've said to bring baby socks so they can monitor baby sugars so I'm thinking long sleeve vest and bottoms would be needed ( was avoiding due to the umbilical cord stump)? Thanks guys x

Margo34 · 28/08/2020 08:43

All you ladies due imminently, good luck! I taught a child a couple of years ago whose birthday was 31st August, child was only 3 minutes away from being a September baby! Child was cute as a button and very bright!

@ShiningStarz I have no prior experience but I've got a pack of long sleeved and a pack of short sleeved vests in 0-1 month and also 0-3 months vests at home. I've rolled up babygrow/sleepsuits plus one long and one short sleeved vest of into mini clothing bundles in my hospital bag so they are easy to grab, and stuck in 1 pair of trousers and pair of socks just in case. I literally have no idea what I'll need in hospital so thought I'd better cover all bases!!

ShiningStarz · 28/08/2020 08:54

@Margo34 I went onto M&S just now as needed to order new bath towels. I ordered a long sleeve vest, soft booties just incase LO can't wear all in one straightaway. No clue either lol but I packed outfits together In sandwich bags. You sound organised!! Thank u x

UrsulaSings · 28/08/2020 09:11

@ShiningStarz I've also packed outfits in sandwhich bags with labels on. Wanted to make it super obvious to DP what was what!

I have 1 long sleeve and 1 short sleeve in up to 1 month and 1 - 3 months (as hes estimated to be 9lb-ish). I think they like to keep them pretty warm at first as they're used to being at 37 degrees if you think about it!

Margo34 · 28/08/2020 09:17

Ooooh I haven't felt or been called organised this whole pregnancy, it's novel! 😁
You also sound organised with sandwich bag outfits!

ShiningStarz · 28/08/2020 09:21

That was thanks to @sianyflewog sandwich bag was her tip!!! I'v only got 1NB and 1 up to 1 month long sleeve vest!! It'll be quick stop by next on way home to buy colour anyway so for now that'll do xx

ShiningStarz · 28/08/2020 12:34

@emma278 how are you feeling?

TJ17 · 28/08/2020 13:19

@Margo34 this is very reassuring to hear thank you 😊 I worry so much about her being born this late in August and only just turning 4 starting school!

emma278 · 28/08/2020 13:58

@ShiningStarz hello my lovely. Ive been watching from the sidelines but so busy with work. Im feeling ok thanks, very glad today is my last working day. 38+1. Sleeping is hard but on the whole no complaints, hoping baby stays put for a few more weeks so i can nest and rest! How are you doing? Xxx

Emmy2020 · 28/08/2020 14:38

How is everyone doing? I’m finishing painting the hall 😂 Nearly done! Feel like I have so much to get done.

ShiningStarz · 28/08/2020 14:48

@emma278 aww I'm sure you are so relieved to be finishing work today!! What a feeling!! I finished 2 weeks ago but I had so much annual leave to take. My mat leave doesn't actually start until due date. Are you all organised? My DP out bags in the car few days ago, we build up the snuz pod, changing station and rocker yesterday evening. It was lovely but very strange at the same time!!

emma278 · 28/08/2020 15:11

Ah youve done really well @ShiningStarz. We are almost there, i just need to pack baby's bag and we need to put the seat and base in the car, aside from that almost there. And get the house straight for the string of visitors sure to follow 😂 xxx

flameprincess · 28/08/2020 15:34

Broke up from work today - felt SO good putting my out of office on for a whole year Grin

Franny0696 · 28/08/2020 16:08

Afternoon girls!! Had mild contractions last night until 3am went to bed woke up and they were done lost my bloody show this morning and more just now! Few shooting pains praying this is it!!

ShiningStarz · 28/08/2020 16:20

Good luck @Franny0696 !! Another baby soon to be arriving!! 🤞

@emma278 whoop that's great. Your all organised too. My partner is leaving car seat and base in house until he has to pick us up from the hospital! He read the manual though and he's happy enough.

@Emmy2020 are you doing the painting?! Our house is still a little messy as works not completed yet but it is what it is!! I can barely shave my legs or tie my shoe laces!! Hope your not painting!!

Yay @flameprincess😊😊

Emmy2020 · 28/08/2020 16:48

@ShiningStarz My mum did most of it yesterday so I just went over any little bits and did the edges and just repainted our blackboard wall. Not sure how I found the energy but I was doing the bottom bits mainly so was sat down! I’m probably nesting as I want it all done 😂

OrDis · 28/08/2020 16:58

Me too @flameprincess! Such a surreal feeling!

Emmy2020 · 28/08/2020 17:03

@Franny0696 Good luck!

WillowT · 28/08/2020 17:14

I finished today too!! Such a good feeling!

Good luck @Franny0696

sianyflewog · 28/08/2020 17:23

I also finished today! Have been massively regretting working the last few weeks, not that it’s been busy but just so tired, so I’m glad to have my out of office on for the next 9 months!
