@Ordis my baby's not engaged yet but I've been having bad lower back pain, I think it's my tailbone. I do take paracetamol for the pain though, it makes a big difference. Im so annoyed because i was supposed to see a physio and im still waiting, i made a self referral start of july. They'll probably contact me once the baby is here Angry

Roxy8203 · 27/08/2020 15:06

Hi @TJ17, I'm due on the 2nd too. No signs so far either and hoping he waits at least until Tuesday so he isn't the youngest in his year at school.

TJ17 · 27/08/2020 15:24

@Roxy8203 omg I've been thinking exactly the same 😂 half of me wants her here now as I'm getting excited to meet her but the other half
is like wait till Tuesday at least 😅

We are also going for a lovely meal tomorrow night (curry 🌶😅) as DS is going to stay at Nanny's for a trial run (I've never left him overnight before and haven't been able to have any trials as planned this year for obvious reasons!)
So I keep thinking I'd also like to be able to have what will most likely be our last meal out just the two of us for a long time 😊

Come Tuesday though I am doing all I can to get her out lol

Roxy8203 · 27/08/2020 15:51

@TJ17 don't have anything spicy, stick to a korma!!
I keep thinking he will come on monday...wonder if crossing my legs all day Monday will work 🤔
I think if I was suffering I wouldn't care but have no pains or symptoms so happy for him to wait. This is my first baby so hopefully they are right about them being late

TJ17 · 27/08/2020 15:54

@Roxy8203 haha good thinking I do love a korma but I love spice too 😩 although the thought of the acid alone is enough to put me off anything too spicy!

My first DS was 1 week late (6 days late when labour started). I think I'll either have her Monday (that would be the biggest insult when there's only 1 day left til September 😂)
OR she will be over a week late and I will be driving myself mad by that point!!

Roxy8203 · 27/08/2020 16:30

@TJ17 my missed period date is the 7th so I'm hoping that's more accurate and my bump measurements are around 35 centile so he has some space if he wants to hang on a few more days 🤞🏼🤞🏼
I hope your curry doesn't kick anything off

TJ17 · 27/08/2020 16:38

@Roxy8203 ah that's better news for you then as my bump was measured at 1cm or 2 over last time they checked and my LMP date was 27th August 😅🤦🏼‍♀️😂

Had a growth scan last week and she was measuring approx. 7lb 7oz already so I think she's most probably more than ready to come out. But as I said, not so much as a twinge so far so hopefully she can stay put just a few more days 😊

Roxy8203 · 27/08/2020 16:55

🤞🏼for all of us die in early sept and hanging on for a few more days

moonriver32 · 27/08/2020 17:33

@Emmy2020 When you say hurts down below, what sort of pain is it, like a pressure? I am having exactly the same but finding it really hard to describe or work out what the pain is! Just hurts in that area when I walk 😂

Piper1879 · 27/08/2020 18:02

Thanks for all the luck .. still feeling terribly nervous. He was due on the 2nd which is my birthday too but consultant always said they have him out earlier , so at least he gets his own birthday ! What a present for me though ! 😍

LatteLover12 · 27/08/2020 18:24

Good luck for tomorrow @Piper1879 I'm off to the hospital in the morning to get the date for my section - I just can't wait for him to be here now.

Third section though so hopefully no surprises!

MooseWL · 27/08/2020 18:49

@piper1879 try and enjoy a good night's sleep tonight 😂
so exciting that you'll have a baby tomorrow (but totally get its also terrifying.)
I was joking yesterday I want him to come out the day after I finish work as he's already big then someone pointed out that's only 2 weeks away and I was like oh god no 😂
Still 4 weeks till my due date which sounds more reasonable!

MostlyAmbridgeandcoffee · 27/08/2020 19:40

Ha I bet there are loads of women hanging on until Tuesday! I am!!

Lazydaisydaydream · 27/08/2020 19:54

Went to the appointment, she said the cramps sounded like a good sign but when she examined me my cervix is still closed and posterior, so she said unlikely to be arriving very soon. They cancelled my c section though which was booked in for 40+2 and happy to leave me longer so I can try and have a vbac. Fingers crossed!!

Lazydaisydaydream · 27/08/2020 19:54

Good luck to those heading off for c sections tomorrow!! How exciting that this time tomorrow you'll be holding your babies GrinFlowers

sianyflewog · 27/08/2020 20:23

I was wondering why everyone was talking about waiting until Tuesday... and then just worked out that it will be September. And we’ll all be having our babies. Even though I know this ones coming in 2.5 weeks, that is slightly terrifying! 🙈😂

ShiningStarz · 27/08/2020 21:16

Welcome @TJ17 congrats on your second pregnancy. Not long to go now.😊

@OrDis snap with the uncomfortable movements!! I'v definitely got the lightening feeling down there, the baby must be head banging down there!! I was so uncomfortable last night. I find lying down helps. Maybe your little one will arrive sooner than expected!!

Awww I'm excited about seeing my little ones face too. Can't quite believe it and I don't think I will until it actually happens!! We unpacked the attic today and build up the changing station, snuz pod and few other things!! Eeeeeek

Good luck tomorrow @Piper1879 I'll be thinking about you tomorrow 💜

@Lilice I did the hynobirthing course and the one thing I took away from it was during contractions, breath through your nose for 4 seconds and out your mouth for 8 seconds, so this x 4 and this is the same length as a contraction. The transition phase is when your body starts to push automatically, this is normal and means baby is on the way out soon!! Google positive birth stories. I'v read loads and it does help to prepare I think!!

@Roxy8203 & @TJ17 we are out tomorrow night for a proper meal too!! We are so exited to get dressed up and go out!!

@Roxy8203 did you have any contractions / BH when you started colostrum harvesting?? I haven't started yet but plan to tomorrow as I'm 38 and 3 tomorrow and hope to get a good weeks supply collected.

@Emmy2020 how did the MW appt go?

That's great @Lazydaisydaydream sounds like you'll go on your own before that c section date anyway!! 🤞

TJ17 · 27/08/2020 21:20

Oh thanks @ShiningStarz

Are you harvesting too then? I have syringes ready but haven't really attempted it yet as I was too worried I'd induce early labour and had several reasons I needed to wait 😅

I will have another go Monday I think but I did have a little test go and could only get the tiniest drop so worried it won't work 🤔

TJ17 · 27/08/2020 21:21

Oh and meant to say enjoy your meal out! I'm nervous about leaving my little boy for the first time overnight (although he doesn't seem phased by it and seems to be looking forward to it!) but I'm really excited to go for a nice meal just me and DH and be able to eat my food without having to cut up someone else's first 😂

ShiningStarz · 27/08/2020 21:23

@TJ17 I haven't started yet for the same reasons !! I think I'll wait until Monday too. I'v a sweep booked in for next Wed (2nd) and then the following Wed (9th) I'm booked in to be induced.
I watched a YouTube video yesterday, made it look so easy!!

Emmy2020 · 27/08/2020 21:28

@moonriver32 Yeah same as you really, hard to describe but sore achy heavy feeling and also hurts along the sides. Midwife just seemed to think it was joint pain and there’s not much we can do about now.

Roxy8203 · 27/08/2020 21:29

@ShiningStarz I haven't had any BH or twinges at all. I can fill a syringe in 10 minutes so not like I'm stimulating for a long time. I've got about 15 syringes off so far but will probably wait until Monday as I want a September baby and don't want to risk it starting things off over the weekend being so close to my due date

TJ17 · 27/08/2020 21:53

Wow well done @Roxy8203 that's good going!

Roxy8203 · 27/08/2020 21:55

@TJ17 thanks. I've been leaking colostrum at night since the second trimester so didn't think it would be an issue.

UrsulaSings · 27/08/2020 23:10

Totally with the wanting to wait until tuesday! However I feel I'm between a rock and a hard place as I dont want him before sept so he's not youngest in his year, but I dont want him to be taking too much time due to being induced on tuesday and not wanting to have to have the drip.

If he could arrive between midnight and 11am on tuesday that would be brilliant, thank you very much! Haha I wish!
