I'm usually a 34c but my band is measuring 37 and my cup right now is 41 which puts me at 38DD 😱

Laura1348 · 21/08/2020 16:50

@ShiningStarz I held out for the online chat?
I think there is a phone number you could call?
You could order the 38dd from bravissimo and if not they have free returns- could be a faf though.
I got one sleep and one 'nice' but no doubt I'll just wear them both in rotation ! 😂

ShiningStarz · 21/08/2020 16:54

@Laura1348 I think I'll try at 9am Monday morning and try and catch them early!! Will
Maybe phone too, just being lazy today!!
I like the thought of the nighttime crop top style ones but like you would like a nice lacy one that would be nice under clothes and a little sexy lol

ShiningStarz · 21/08/2020 16:57

I'm looking at baby carriers now!! Had my eye on the ergo baby 360 omni in onyx black. It is £154 full price but found it down to £123 / £134 on some sites. It doesn't need a separate newborn insert either 👍 and does up to age 4 not that wed be using it for that long!! anyone tried this one?? Or any other?

Laura1348 · 21/08/2020 17:00

@ShiningStarz
Yeah good to have a choice!
Baby carriers- was advised by my antenatal class to either have a sling wrap or a caboo.
I went caboo can't faf with wrapping!
What ever you get they say the babies legs need to be supported in a kind of m shape and not just hanging- not good for their hips.

ShiningStarz · 21/08/2020 17:05

That Caboo one looks good @Laura1348 I'm with my midwife on wed, will see what they advise too, it's cheaper too!! Can they face forward in that one??

Laura1348 · 21/08/2020 17:23

@ShiningStarz I don't think so🤔🤔
I got mine from a website called Babipur and was able to google a code for another 10% off.

ShiningStarz · 21/08/2020 17:33

@Laura1348 we are looking for something that will grow with little one to get maximum use out of it. To be honest I probably wouldn't use it until we are out and about a lot and that'll be from 2 months. I'll probably use the bassinet expensive bloody pram we bought for walks. Did the antenatal class say when it's ok to have their legs hanging ??

Laura1348 · 21/08/2020 17:49

@ShiningStarz I'm gonna use it as much as I can- round the house to have hands free and keep him close. In my classes it was used as a soothing aid as well as going out.
No they didn't say when legs could hang they just made a real point of making sure that in any carrier their legs needed to be supported. I'm sure there's advice online- perhaps the lullaby trust?

ShiningStarz · 21/08/2020 17:52

Mmmm @Laura1348 I was hoping to be relaxing a lot with tummy time and snuggles on me. Perhaps that's a bit unrealistic !! As I'v no one else to run after I figured either my partner / I would have cuddles a lot on us.. maybe just see how the first few weeks ago and if they seem
Unsettled I may look at that one you have xx

MooseWL · 21/08/2020 18:01

Sometimes I make my pregnancy pillow into a doughnut with a hole in the middle for my bump just so I can lie on my front for a bit haha! That's one of the things I can't wait to be able to do!

@shiningstarz I got a second hand ergobaby omni 360 on fb market place for £60! Obviously I haven't tried it out with a baby but I like the look of it plus looks like should last a while! I'd rather do that for walks than a pram.

I also got a hana baby wrap as a gift from the MIL which I'll probably use when he's tiny and around the house if he won't be put down! Apparently you need a degree in origami to tie them though 😂

Piper1879 · 21/08/2020 18:03

Anyone that's had a csection would you recommend a slightly higher bed ? My bed is quite low to the ground where as my spare room bed is a little higher up. Just wondering what will be best

MostlyAmbridgeandcoffee · 21/08/2020 19:33

@Piper1879 if you’ve got the choice it might be easier for the first few days as getting in and out of bed is a bit of a struggle at the beginning

ShiningStarz · 21/08/2020 19:33

@MooseWL that was an absolute bargain!!! I must have a look on gumtree and FB. I like the look of it too. 😊

Carouselfish · 21/08/2020 19:36

Add me! c-section due 14th Sept! Second DC, don't know what sex it is but it's bloomin' active at the moment and low. Don't know if it's going to hang on until that date! Currently going for regular growth scans as it's dropped off a centile.

Sara7455 · 21/08/2020 20:19

@ShiningStarz we’ve got the omni 360 and a wrap. Was thinking the wrap for round the house and if not going far and the 360 for proper walks as it’s more supportive. I’ve heard really good things about the 360 and it looks really good plus it’s certified hip safe so it’s fine for the legs. There’s a website that lists all the safe ones. Haven’t tried either yet though as Wren is still too little for the minimum weight on both

sianyflewog · 21/08/2020 21:37

@ShiningStarz I have the ergo 360 original from when we had H. We used it all the time until he was really steady on his feet when he decided he’d rather not be carried, and we’ll use it this time. It’s a god send!

Is anyone else hot ALL THE TIME? It’s not even particularly warm out but I am still boiling, currently in bed in just my underwear, no covers as standard. So uncomfortable 🥵

Emmy2020 · 21/08/2020 22:08

Finally bought a baby swing! Was looking ages for a bouncer then decided on a swing, put it together today and quite pleased with it, went for the Cuggl one from Argos with little sheep toys. It has lullabies and rainforest sounds and different speeds for the swing with a timer.

Emmy2020 · 21/08/2020 22:10

@sianyflewog Yep mostly sleeping on the duvet instead of in bed, don’t think it’s just me though as my husband has done the same! In pj shorts at the moment but usually find that too hot eventually and have to just wear underwear.

ShiningStarz · 21/08/2020 23:07

Thanks @sianyflewog and @Sara7455 😊 I'm going to go with it and hopefully get a lot of use out if it 👍

ShiningStarz · 21/08/2020 23:10

Aww fab @Emmy2020 it must be so exciting unpacking things!! I'm starting with setting up the snuz pod and changing station on Sunday!! Can't wait!! It'll be weird lying next to the empty snuz pod for couple of weeks!!

Emmy2020 · 21/08/2020 23:32

@ShiningStarz I’m wondering when to set up my crib next to my bed. Exciting, bet you can’t wait to get it all set up!😊

liquoricecravings · 21/08/2020 23:40

@sianyflewog I'm also struggling with feeling hot all the time. We have the fan on overnight but I'm still waking up really thirsty and hot.

We put our nursery furniture together yesterday Smile. We need to add the personal touches like photos to the wall but it's really exciting to have the changing table ready and filled with all of the clothes we've bought.

ShiningStarz · 22/08/2020 05:31

@liquoricecravings I can't wait to get it all down from the attic!! Actually forgotten what I bought during lockdown online frenzy !!

I'm wide awake thinking about nappies, decided to go with pampers disposable for now. I'v only bought size 1 and up. I'v no size 0, I read that they are for up to 6lbs and our little one weight 5lb 5oz at 36 weeks, next scan (38 weeks) should be around 6.. so thinking size 1 should be fine??

MooseWL · 22/08/2020 06:25

Hi @carasolfish welcome! How are you feeling?
Anyone else struggling to believe it's September in just over a week? Eeeek! Really need to start sorting things out. Anyone else still got a while to go at work and regretting it 🙈 still 3 weeks to go for me!

I dreamt I was drinking wine last night. It was amazing 😂🍷
