@LatteLover12 🤣 🤣🤣 kids are sooo funny! Love the bag @Laura1348

ChipsAreLife · 03/07/2020 12:03

@LatteLover12 🤣🤣🤣 little monkey! I'm currently in bed watching frozen 2 with my three year old as she's shattered after preschool this week. I should be cleaning but I'm knackered so this is lovely!!!

I've just got a weekend bag that I travel with but may take my cabin suitcase and my backpack for baby stuff. Will faff with it closer to the time!

Yes sleep is a pain although this time round I'm sleeping loads better but I do wake for a wee every 3 hours or so but I just pass straight back out! It's hard with the light mornings as my kids are waking up early 😑

I don't have a kindle but use an iPad to watch tv for night feeds so I can wear headphones. I sometimes read books but find I need a good light which wakes them up. Good idea on the kindle though!

@shiningstarz I'll set up a new thread and paste the link now but we've still got space on here for a bit.

I have a kindle and it's the greatest! My friends say night feeds are a nightmare for online shopping 😂

I think my sickness is coming back. Think my 7 weeks of glowing are over and it's gonna be downhill from here 😔 I've enjoyed it whilst it lasted!

ShiningStarz · 03/07/2020 12:41

Thanks @ChipsAreLife

This gestational diabetes is hard going!! I literally have to weigh every carb and measure and then test blood every few hours! It's exhausting but it'll all be worth it in the end!! Craving a big bag of crisps / chocolate / glass of ginger ale / chips!!.. all the things I can't have !!!

Emmy2020 · 03/07/2020 12:42

Forgot to say when I came out of hospital from my last scan there was a car with nurses all around and a lady had given birth in the car! Bless her, Hadn’t quite made it to hospital in time! Can you imagine that happening!

CNovittBolden · 03/07/2020 12:57

@ShiningStarz when do your injections start? Just think about your gorgeous baby that'll be there at the end of all this!

My scan went well! Cheeky bugger was facing away from us and wouldn't turn so picture wasn't too good. Growth is where it should be 💙

My hospital bag arrived! Will send pictures when I open it.

ShiningStarz · 03/07/2020 13:00

Hehe @CNovittBolden our little
One had its legs in the air over the body and one hand covering face at last scan so pics useless too!! I hope he/she plays ball by next wed!!

I'm diet controlled for now. I'm using my fitness pal app to scan and weigh everything and it calculates the carbs. I'v definitely lost weight!! So can't be a bad thing. I'm not just grabbing toast / biscuits when I fancy it!! My daily yoghurt and crops are gone too and pretty much fruit although I can have 1 small
Fruit a day!!

OrDis · 03/07/2020 13:02

Hello all!
Just got back from my 28 week appt. Had to wait ages to be seen as midwife had no record of my appointment which was a bit frustrating but she was very apologetic and I wasn't the only one that clinic so they’d obviously had some sort of problem!

Anyway all seemed fine with me and baby which was reassuring. She’s currently measuring quite big (95th percentile) so midwife said if she’s still big next time I may have to go and have the gestational diabetes test. She’s also currently breech, but midwife didn't seem to concerned said she’ll probably turn at some point. She is quite the wriggler- I think she’s still somersaulting multiple times a day lol!

MooseWL · 03/07/2020 13:16

@shiningstarz that sounds awful what can you eat?! 🤣
I've spent the last few days eating everything in sight and I don't know if its cos the baby is growing or because I'm just bored being home all the time.

ShiningStarz · 03/07/2020 13:20

That's great @OrDis and sensible they may offer you the GD test. My blood sugars all
Passed but the GD failed so don't let them cut corners.

@MooseWL it's not too bad, I just need to count every gram of carbs and it's definitely a lot less carbs than I'm
Used to eating!! Hence the weight gain!! I'm hoping the weight loss will continue but at the same time the sugars are stable for baby too. My worry was I wasn't giving the baby enough nutrients but the dietician said the GD eating allows for more than enough carbs and nutrients and vitamins :)

LatteLover12 · 03/07/2020 13:43

OMG @Emmy2020 😳

Did everyone see the video of the woman in America who gave birth through her shorts as she tried to get into the birthing centre?! Bloody Nora! 😂😳

ChipsAreLife · 03/07/2020 13:48

@Emmy2020 oh bless her! My aunty had her second in the car. My uncle kept insisting they had loads of time like the first one 😅

@LatteLover12 I did see that!! The midwife was so calm.

My friend had her first very quickly, she just got to hospital, they managed to get her on a bed but he came out straight away. She still had shoes on and jeans around her ankles 🤣

Lilice · 03/07/2020 14:30

@Emmy2020 that's mad! Quite an entrance lol! My friend gave birth on her sofa, her husband had to deliver the baby! She hadn't planned a home birth but things progressed too quickly
Glad your appointments went well @OrDis @CNovittBolden I've got my 4d scan next Saturday and cannot wait!
@ShiningStarz thats great for the weight loss, I hope you're still allowed a treat here and there!

Lilice · 03/07/2020 14:32

@LatteLover12 I haven't seen the video, but now I want to!!! Where is it?

This is it @lilice 😳

Lilice · 03/07/2020 16:02

Wow @LatteLover12 she makes it look so easy!!!

Lilice · 03/07/2020 16:03

thanks for the link

Laura1348 · 03/07/2020 17:03

Hello again everyone- me again sorry!

I'm 31 weeks tomorrow and my babies movements have changed. They've gone from great big whacks or hiccup type feeling at the bottom of my tummy to wriggling. It's like he is crawling under my skin for want of a better description.
They seem to also be less than before. Still lots but not as many.
Has anyone else had this?
Is it just that he is running out of space?

Sorry if this is a ramble!
Thanks

Emmy2020 · 03/07/2020 19:04

@LatteLover12 Yeah I saw the video on this morning, that’s what reminded me! I thought she had shorts on in the video but wasn’t sure! That’s even more crazy that she had the baby through them 😝
@ChipsAreLife @Lilice Hopefully we will all make in time to hospital 😂 Can’t imagine not making it there in time. 😬My hospital is about a 40min drive!

MooseWL · 03/07/2020 20:08

@laura1348 if movement has reduced and you're concerned ring your maternity unit. They'd rather you ring even if its nothing and they'll be able to give you advice and piece of mind.

Laura1348 · 03/07/2020 20:31

@MooseWL thank you.
They've not reduced they've just changed. He is still moving all day (👍) and I've just done the 10 movements in 2hours thing and that was fine- it was 10 movements in 30mins actually..😂
I just wondered if others had movements that have changed from big whacks to like skin crawling/ pulling on belly button type feeling.

Laura1348 · 03/07/2020 20:36

@MooseWL I've just re read my previous msg and I wasn't very clear -sorry! They have been less as in over the last few days but nothing to worry about- he's always been a real wriggler and now that it's more like skin crawling they are longer movements as such so less little like Jab jabs.
Thankfully still moving all day.
Sorry.
I must reread myself 🙈

sianyflewog · 03/07/2020 20:38

@Laura1348 I have a mixture of both. I went to the antenatal assessment unit at the start of the week because the movements had gone quite faint, but all was fine and she’s back to really kicking the life out of me!

Laura1348 · 03/07/2020 20:57

@sianyflewog thanks so much.
I'm glad you're all well.
I can still feel him and see him(as in tummy moving) I just found it strange how he has gone from the jabbing to like crawling around.
It's so hard to explain.
