@WillowT I got this one from amazon after someone else here recommended it (sorry ladies I forgot who) www.amazon.co.uk/Lekebaby-Nappy-Changing-Backpack-Arrow/dp/B07B7H6L9T?tag=mumsnetforu03-21 really reasonable price - I think the main benefit over a standard backpack is that it’s waterproof and has little bottle holders in the front pocket.

@ShiningStarz sorry you did mention it’s not a standard size! I’m sure you’ll get something lovely made 😊

Laura1348 · 02/07/2020 15:54

Anyone got any opinions on organic motherease wizard uno nappy compared to the staydry version?
Thanks

ShiningStarz · 02/07/2020 16:31

That bag is gorgeous!! I ended up
Getting a bugaboo one that hooks
Onto the pram with the hooks that come with it. Not sure if it was worth the £80 but seems very roomy with lots pockets etc

WillowT · 02/07/2020 17:12

Thanks @sara7455 that bag looks perfect!

CNovittBolden · 02/07/2020 20:28

Thank you @Lazydaisydaydream I ended up buying that bag for the hospital as I really loved it!!

Hope everyone is doing well! 😊 got my 28 week scan and midwife appointment tomorrow! Looking forward to see his growth. He's been dancing in there today, it feels like.

Loving all the green choices! Seems very popular at the moment xx

sianyflewog · 02/07/2020 21:03

I’ve just been to buy a load of paint samples - 3 different pale greys (some for the boys bedroom), and a blush pink. We’ll see when they go on! I am still not at all organised, but I have bought a lot of clothes 😂
ASDA had the pampers water wipes (pampers pure?) 1/2 price when I popped in tonight, so picked up those and some other toiletries. Need to get my list back out!

sianyflewog · 02/07/2020 21:06

@Lazydaisydaydream Ah thanks for the tip! I’ll have to have a little look. I remember the days of just unhooking my bra and spraying everywhere 😂

sianyflewog · 02/07/2020 21:06

Oh the above was in relation to the haakka 😂

WillowT · 02/07/2020 21:12

@sianyflewog glad you clarified that 🤣🤣

ShiningStarz · 02/07/2020 22:27

@CNovittBolden enjoy your appointment tomorrow 💜

LatteLover12 · 03/07/2020 05:58

Morning ladies,

I can't wait to not be awake at 5am every day when baby is here! 😴 😂

I think a normal bag would be fine @WillowT the bonus of a changing bag is the insulated pockets for bottles and the little change mat but you can buy both of these things separately & just add them to a normal bag.

I've ordered this one...

www.johnlewis.com/bababing-daytripper-city-deluxe-2016-changing-bag-grey/p2491195

If you haven't ordered your pram yet, quite a few of them come with a bag in a 'bundle' too.

We're in the middle of building work in ours/baby's room but once I can finally decorate it will be white/grey I think. I picked up a light shade and a blanket in the sale at M&P last weekend.

I'm running out of room for all the things I've ordered! The huge car seat and buggy boxes are still by the front door!

sianyflewog · 03/07/2020 08:37

I ordered this one from Joules @WillowT. I had a shoulder bag last time that came with my pram and I hated it. This one has so many little handy compartments, I’m excited about it 😂 (although I just ordered it because I liked the print) and I think it’s something I could use for both kiddos when you don’t need so much newborn stuff.
Having said that, half the time you can chuck a nappy, wipes, a change of clothes in your handbag 🤷🏼‍♀️

sianyflewog · 03/07/2020 08:41

@LatteLover12 Perhaps your body is preparing you? 😂 I’ve been punched and kicked and shouted at since 3:30, by my little boy (in his sleep) who turned up in my bedroom crying because his bedroom was scary 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’ve had pain au chocolat for breakfast and it feels like nice food is the only way I will get through my husbands working day.

What did you get from M&P? I ordered the Lilybelle wall sticker, lampshade and bar bumpers - obsessed with the cute print!

MooseWL · 03/07/2020 09:21

@lattelover12 same I just want a night without waking up every 2 hours. Maybe in like 2 years time? 😂
My friend bought me this bag in green. (though I also got a second hand bambino mio one for cloth nappies) www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B081SL9SZR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_YNU.EbX3XAK8E
But can never have too many bags! It's got lots of pockets and the colour is gorgeous!
I'm officially in my 3rd trimester today!

LatteLover12 · 03/07/2020 09:49

That looks like a fab bag @MooseWL 😍

Totally with you on the night waking...my screen time is through the roof. Thinking of getting a kindle paper white so I can read and feed when baby is here rather than the constant social media scrolling I'm doing at the moment! Does anyone have one?

@sianyflewog this is what I got... the lampshade was meant to be £35 but was £10 when we got to the till - score!

Lilice · 03/07/2020 09:59

@sianyflewog pain au chocolat for breakfast sounds amazing!
Im also sleeping terribly, waking up every 2 hours and struggling to get comfortable, sore hips and thighs. But im happy because my son is back to preschool today, my daughter is at school, im not working today so im going to have a lazy day yay!!!
Loving all the bags! Ive ordered my hospital one on amazon and it's arriving today, so excited !
@CNovittBolden enjoy your scan today!

Lilice · 03/07/2020 10:00

That lampshade is soooooo cute @LatteLover12

WillowT · 03/07/2020 10:16

@LatteLover12 I have a kindle paper white and it's brilliant!! Would recommend for night time reading...mine aha increased due to random wake up times

LatteLover12 · 03/07/2020 10:17

Thanks @lilice 😊 what hospital bag did you buy?

I'm now looking at this...

www.johnlewis.com/john-lewis-partners-geneva-large-weekend-holdall/blue/p4894392

LatteLover12 · 03/07/2020 10:17

Ah that's good to know @WilliowT do you just download books onto it from amazon?

Laura1348 · 03/07/2020 10:39

@LatteLover12 That lampshade is beautiful. I I have a kindle paper white too- it's the best!
If you have amazon account I think some of the books are free or you get to rent one a month- I think! @WillowT am I right?
Yes just download from amazon- can get some really cheap good books

@Lilice I'm so glad it's not just me struggling to sleep- my hips and legs are so sore from
My pregnancy pillow I'm sure I'm rolling over every 20mins!

Baby bag- I got one from
Cath kidston outlet just before lockdown

WillowT · 03/07/2020 10:43

@LatteLover12 Yes, just link to your amazon account and away you go. Can but direct from the kindle too if linked up to wifi.

I think for the free books/renting books, you need to sign up to another amazon service (might be prime but I don't have that on my account). Lots of books free/99p (but quality can be a bit hit and miss on the free ones!)

LatteLover12 · 03/07/2020 11:32

Thanks everyone! Not long till my birthday so I'll make sure DP knows 😉

That bag is gorgeous @Laura1348 😍

My maternity pillow (the HUGE one from Asda if anyone has it!) had disappeared, I couldn't understand where it had gone. I went to say goodnight to DS last night in his high sleeper and there it was the swine! He's basically made himself a nest! I didn't have the heart to pinch it back 😂

ShiningStarz · 03/07/2020 11:34

Is anyone starting a new thread? I'v no clue how to do it and tag everyone 🤔

Lilice · 03/07/2020 11:35

@LatteLover12 I got this one www.amazon.co.uk/Weekender-Capacity-Holdalls-Overnight-Handbags/dp/B077BC818Q?tag=mumsnetforu03-21
It's the one @Lazydaisydaydream posted.
It's just arrived and I love it! I'll be using it to go on trips and weekends away as well.
@Laura1348 I cant wait to be able to sleep on my front again, the sleeping on the side business is wrecking my hips and thighs. My pregnancy pillow is just a giant sausage, not so helpful. I usually end up with the whole duvet in between my legs. My husband can't sleep in the same bed as me anymore, I'm unbearable to be around at night with the constant pee breaks, tossing and turning, and duvet grabbing 😂
