@sianyflewog thanks so much.
I'm glad you're all well.
I can still feel him and see him(as in tummy moving) I just found it strange how he has gone from the jabbing to like crawling around.
It's so hard to explain.

Lazydaisydaydream · 03/07/2020 21:19

@Laura1348 could be a position change? So if he's now facing the back you wouldn't get big kicks pushing your tummy out. I think as long as the pattern is similar (as in moving similar amount at same times) I'd be less concerned, but if at any point you aren't sure just ring the midwife and they can see what they think over the phone as a starting point.

MooseWL · 03/07/2020 21:20

@laura1348 ahh good that still moving lots! I find I feel movements differently based on my position! If I'm sat/ stood up I feel kicks low down but if I'm laying I can see the sort of crawling side to side and my whole belly wobbling movements! Sometimes I can see the movements but not really feel them which I think could be due to anterior placenta maybe? I'm so full tonight and really uncomfortable baby is defo taking up all the room!

Laura1348 · 03/07/2020 21:35

@Lazydaisydaydream thanks- will do. I'm
Sure like you say he is just moving position.
@MooseWL thank you.

@Laura1348 I know exactly what you mean! The twins feel like they're constantly turning- it feels like I've a worm in between my skin and the flesh/muscle. It takes my breath away sometimes, especially when it's an elbow or joint. I've noticed it more since they've both turned (breech), and definitely feeling more of these types of movements throughout the day! They used to 'relax' in the day and come alive at around 20:30, now they're constantly on the go!

@Bubble29 glad I'm not alone! It's such a strange feeling. I described it like the sand worms from beetle juice, the other day.🙈
My little boys always been on the go all day so glad that's not changed. Scan in two weeks so will see them where he is! 👍
Thanks

ShiningStarz · 04/07/2020 08:56

Morning everyone, I'v been thinking lots about my birthing plan and what I want. I think this has become even more important with the diagnosis of GD. Some hospital policies are induction at 28 weeks and most others don't let you go over 40 weeks. I have still got the option of an elective c section. Obviously would rather a natural birth but will prob need to induced or have the sweep. I don't know what's safer for baby. Will chat to consultant and see but what do you guys who have been there before think? Really trying to avoid any emergency situation as I don't think I could handle that

NeuroMama · 04/07/2020 09:00

@laura1348 yeh I also get a mix of kicks and 'swirly' movements, and find different days contain more. Like some of the other said, I've just assumed it was baby moving position and partying in different areas. The skin crawly movements are so weird! I keep thinking of Alien 😂

Laura1348 · 04/07/2020 09:28

@NeuroMama I found them odd too! That's why I'd see if anyone else was the same. Glad I'm not alone!

It's nice fir husband to see though as the swirly movements seem to last longer- he always misses the swift kicks/punches🙈
Thanks
Have a lovely weekend.

emma278 · 04/07/2020 13:10

@Laura1348 im exactly the same 30+2. Movements gone from kicks to more like drags under my skin. Webhad a scan last weekend and baby had gone head down so wondering if its change in posistion?

X

Laura1348 · 04/07/2020 13:25

@emma278 that's what I'm hoping! Scan in two weeks so will see where he is then...
Thanks!

Lazydaisydaydream · 04/07/2020 20:08

Just wanted to pop in and say cheeky wipes website has 20% off this weekend if anyone was thinking of getting wipes. We've been using them for nearly 2 years now and they are brilliant!

ChipsAreLife · 05/07/2020 08:28

@shiningstarz I think you need to chat to the consultant and see what they think. Will you have a growth scan at 36 weeks as you've got GD? That may determine the outcomes for you.

I couldn't have a sweep till I was 40+9 because my cervix was high and closed till then. So it all depends on how favourable you are for it so induction may be more likely.

I would maybe try wait till closer to the time if you can. Also having a section really isn't that bad so don't be disheartened if you do have one x

Thanks @ChipsAreLife I don't care what I have now as long as baby is safely delivered. I thought I was anxious in pregnancy but now it's getting closer to birth I think I could be freaked out more!!! I'm private so I'll be getting scans every 2-3 weeks, next one is wed.

Had a crazy bad painful leg cramp this morning!! Nearly cried with the pain!! Think I'll be making a contraption to raise legs at the end of the bed now !! Xx

Lilice · 05/07/2020 08:53

@Laura1348 I get the same feeling from movements. @ShiningStarz did you find out if your baby is head down now?
I've been having such a sore back lately, and I also suspect a sciatica because I have a constant pain in my bum. Tomorrow I'm seeing my midwife. Can a midwife make a referral to a physio or osteopath, or has it got to be a gp? Last time I went directly private, but finances are tigh this time 😔

ShiningStarz · 05/07/2020 09:04

Oh no @Lilice I hope you get sorted.
I'm still feeling the kicks down below and the whooshing movement middle of belly. So think little one still frank breech !! Will know on wed. I'll keep bouncing on the gym ball until then 🙈

ChipsAreLife · 05/07/2020 09:56

@Lilice bless you, is it constant pain? So hard to rest when you've got other children 😔
I did a lot of walking yesterday and my back was knackered, also had pain in my bum. In first pregnancy I had SPD and was referred by midwife for a physio. It was brilliant and one session taught me how to manage it.

@ShiningStarz try not to freak out. What are you worried about specifically? That's good you've got regular scans, hopefully as it gets closer they'll then tell you what they recommend for you. X

OP posts:
Lilice · 05/07/2020 10:26

@ChipsAreLife the pain in the bum is constant and paracetamol won't touch it. My back gets sore in a specific spot after a period of time, and I have to lie down to relieve the pain.
@ShiningStarz with the regular scans, at least they'll be able to take action quickly if needs be.

Lilice · 05/07/2020 10:28

@ChipsAreLife good to know your midwife was able to a do a referral in your first pregnancy. Hopefully mine will be helpful tomorrow. If not i'll go private

ShiningStarz · 05/07/2020 11:42

@ChipsAreLife I'm just freaked out in general. Just want to ensure that baby is delivered safely, same as everyone on here lol waiting a v longtime for this little one.

@Lilice yep I'm glad of all the extra checks 💜

Ladygray13 · 05/07/2020 12:38

Hey all
I'm new on here
30'weeks pregnant 3rd baby girl
Iv had some bright red spotting today lasted about 3 wipes at now stopped ?? Anyone eles has this ?

ChipsAreLife · 05/07/2020 14:04

Hi @Ladygray13! Welcome. I'm 30 weeks with number three too but don't know what it is, I've already got two girls too. Oh you poor thing, must be a worry. I've not had it but maybe call MAU for advice? I'm sure it's nothing to worry about but could be worth a check.

@Lilice ouch, that sounds awful. Are you able to try a bath maybe? Def push for a referral if you can, it may be over zoom but they'll def help you.

@ShiningStarz completely normal to be freaking out. I think often we only hear when things go wrong and that sticks with us, but chances are everything will be absolutely fine.
