Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
muppetgirl · 03/10/2007 17:34

lol greedy!!
I know I won't go over dates as Ollie was big so I know it will be before the 5th nov but I really want it asap!!!!

when are you due again
22nd?

muppetgirl · 03/10/2007 17:37

Mrs Fish - I had a sweep with Ollie 2 days before my induction date and it wasn't painful, just uncomfortable and the mw told me I was 1cm dilated. I still had to be induced as it didn't work

MrsFish · 03/10/2007 17:46

Oh well, I may as well try it

Ds1 was 4 days late so I am hoping this one won;t be much longer, saying that if it was the same as Sam I'll be going into labour tonight at three am

I'm with greedy though, my bump doesn't seem to have dropped AT ALL

greedygreedyguzzler · 03/10/2007 17:53

muppet - i was due 30th sept!!! thats why i am getting frustrated!!!

muppetgirl · 03/10/2007 17:58

ah greedy, can see why you're getting frustrated now!!

My bump is very low but to be fair he's been low for a while now but his heads not engaged at all.

....hate to say I was 11 days late with Ollie

J2OBABY · 03/10/2007 18:27

Hi
mrsF-because i've not got high blood pressure they don't seem interested in the swelling. i'm terrified of having a sweep, had to have gas and air to have a pessary inserted with dd.

muppet-glad house is getting sorted, my bump goes a funny shape too-like you described.

i keep getting pains, but they are jabbing pains in the bottom of bump and down the inside of my legs and groin, don't think they're contractions, think lo could be on a nerve. rung my friend and she answered with 'what?' felt like punching her, i feel like crying, not with the pain, don't really know why, my mum has got her phone turned off and i'm not ringing her tosspot bloke, was ex bloke, now current blokeagain. i hate everyone at the moment, feel like just doing it all myself.

sorry for the me me me post, feeling sorry for myself.

greedygreedyguzzler · 03/10/2007 18:56

hey J20! dont be down................happy due date to you, happy due date to you, happy due date dear J20-0!!!!! happy due date to you!!!

nellieloula · 03/10/2007 19:24

J20 - hang on in there- you've done so well and hope you have a good evening. Feeling for the painful fingers mrs fish (think it was you) - I had cts with DS1, not good but does go as quickly as it came once I stopped breastfeeding.

and massive congrats to katsh - fantastic name.

I've got my date - 19th Oct and everything is looking good so far. fingers crossed.

hope everyone can have a good evening and things get going for those who want it too!

J2OBABY · 03/10/2007 19:32

thanks greedy you got a little grin!

nellie, i've got carpal tunnel, are you telling me it doesn't dissapear until you stop bf?

been and cried on my bed for a bit, was really evil to dd and she offered to go to bed so i can have some peace so i think i'm going to have an early night.

love to all

ChocolateHobnob · 03/10/2007 21:09

Hi all.

CONGRATULATIONS KATSCH! Hope Rory gets better soon!

Sorry about all your aches and pains everyone-specially J20, Inzi and Muppet. Inzi, I can't believe you're contracting again! Muppet, I agree with the others; you should get the swelling checked. J20, you're allowed the occasional me post - we all need to let off steam and it sounds like you had a horrible day.

Mrs F/Greedy, I hope it all takes off in the night for you!

I passed on your congrats to Alicet, who texted to say that her first DS is loving his little brother, that she and Adam are fine and probably going home tomorrow.

I've been to the mw today. Lo still partially engaged but not entirely yet. Little minx was dancing all the time she tried to find a heartbeat! I'm shattered tonight though - achey legs and just need a good night's sleep, which never happens...

Ejt, thanks for dropping by - hope you and babe are doing well! Ditto Mump.

Haha Inzi, do you think my bag's packed?? I haven't even identified a bag yet. And I still don't know what I'm supposed to wear for labour. Oh dear. I know it won't happen yet for me. Lo is wriggling happily, I'm okay, no sign of any contractions - as long as I'm a bit sorted by next week I'll feel okay about it.

Keep us posted!!!

greedygreedyguzzler · 03/10/2007 22:01

chochobnob......what ARE you supposed to wear for labour?!!! i was naked for dd, but then she was a water birth!!! and wore my scabbiest old t - shirt for delivering ds!!! got another scabby one packed for this time too!!!

ChocolateHobnob · 04/10/2007 06:46

Inzi, they're nice! I was thinking along the lines of something really scummy. Unfortunately all my scummy clothes are too small for me now!! And DH's scummy t-shirts, while they fit width wise, wouldnt decently cover my bum at the mo.

I think I'm just going to buy a scummy looking nightshirt in Primark...

unicorn · 04/10/2007 08:32

Hi all.
Re nightwear it really drives me mad that so many womens pyjamas have cutesy teddies/fluffy animals on them... awful.
I am not 4 years old!

My legs and feet were awful yesterday... may see if I can get surgical stockings from hospital today (lovely!)

I have a scan this morning and further monitoring - wish me luck, although I was beginning to think something happening at 5am this am - bubs decided to do a Salsa for an hour - waking me up and making me wonder what on earth was going on.

TheLadyEvenstar · 04/10/2007 09:00

lol @ pyjamas/nightwear/labour wear.....think yourself lucky you had chance to decide lmao. Zach didn't give me the opportunity to be dignified and cover up I gave birth in my bra and that was it "the shame the shame". In hospital I wore leggings and t-shirts was scummy see lol.

Although primark do some nice nightshirts which i did get just like over sized t-shirts with slogans on I have one which says handle with care and the other says unwrap me gently.

Hope all you who are still expecting are ok and all us who have our lo's already are having enough sleep lololol

WinnieThePooh · 04/10/2007 09:41

Morning all.

I thought I was going to be next earlier this morning. I went to the loo at 1.05am and was still awake at 1.35 so got up and came onto the computer for a bit. About 2.45 I started to get tightenings across my bump and really bad back ache. I went downstairs at 3.15 to time them as I had left my watch in the kitchen. At 4am they were coming every 5-6 minutes and lasting for about 30 seconds so I called the hospital.

When I said I thought I could manage at home for a bit longer, they suggested I take 2 paracetemol and try to get some sleep, but to call again if the tablets did not help. I went back to bed and lay awke until 5am. I must have finally gone to sleep, because I woke up at 6.30am without the pains across my bump.

DP has had to go into work today, so no chance of a long lie for me today as I had to take DD to school. I have got to get my Avon Delivered and books collected in today so the walk will probably bring her on.

My mum is arriving sometime this afternoon and I have got a midwife appointment at 1.10pm..

Sorry about the me,me,me, post.

Have a good day everyone.

muppetgirl · 04/10/2007 10:20

Winnie! That sounds exciting (but tiring!)

I was awake with braxtons on and off throughout the night, still making me suck in my breath but not much more.

Ollie has done a lovely snowman at nursery that is going to be turned into a christmas card!!! He's so proud, good god so am I!

Kitchen floor is virtually finished and looks fab so will be spending the weekend putting the house back togther as we have a friege in the study with a kitchen table and microwave and loads of washing everywhere. I also want to sort out lo's room and I really must wash his clothes and buy something to put them in -we only have a plastic box atm...

Sunny here so will be basking in it to top up vitamin levels

muppetgirl · 04/10/2007 10:39

have just eaten 6 Mr Kipling country slices...

...are just about to attack the hot cross buns.

ess · 04/10/2007 12:36

Afternoon all. Still nothing happening for us then? DD was 8 days late so thinking this one may come at weekend (due tomorrow). I've had cake cravings too Muppetgirl!!Ate 6 Yum Yums yesterday! Oh well, if you can't do it now. Have a nice day.
