Hi all

Just thought I would get this set up so that we had somewhere to go at the end. Will link to it in the old thread. Can’t believe we reached the limit so soon!!!

@maisiemolly my local pregnancy pilates/yoga class is only available from 14 weeks. I'm currently doing yoga at home (YouTube) and a normal class once a week but not sure I will be able to do the normal class for much longer as this week my stomach has popped (third baby) and has been sensitive to any pressure on it.

Has anyone else's belly suddenly popped? I'm 10 weeks and have gone from nothing at all to a definite rounded sticky out belly this week. I've also got an achey tummy, it's not cramps or uterus pain, definitely feels like the actual muscles of my stomach are aching, all day, so I think a lot of rapid stretching is going on 😔

After one day yesterday of feeling relatively normal and like sickness was passing, as expected its come back with a vengeance today, just in time for my return to work. Horrendous.

Re: exercise, are there any runners here? Pre pregnancy I exercised 4-5 times a week, with 3 runs, a spin class and a strength class. I'm really struggling with any exercise at the moment because of nausea but forcing myself to get out there. Not sure how long I can keep up the running for, as I wasn't a runner before my last pregnancy, so if anyone has any experience or advice that would be great!

ButterflyRuns · 06/01/2020 14:17

Hi everyone, new to the thread! I’m 8+1 weeks pregnant with my first child. Congratulations to you all Flowers I’m having an early scan this Wednesday just because I’m 38 and extra worried about this pregnancy with it being my first. Has anyone else been experiencing morning sickness? I really couldn’t bear going back into work for the first day back today.

@NamiSwan I used to run every morning before work but I haven’t done it since I found out, probably because it’s been so cold & I’ve been so busy with Christmas or maybe I’m just making excuses Grin Not too keen on the idea either with the nausea.

MaisieMolly · 06/01/2020 14:26

@NamiSwan I’m a runner! I am just over 9 weeks and have kept running 3 times a week throughout, about 3-4 miles, but at a slower “conversation” pace rather than pushing it. Those PBs will have to wait. People keep asking me what my running resolutions are lol. I haven’t had much in the way of symptoms so it’s been fairly easy to keep it up, although my boobs and nipples have been a bit sore towards the end of the runs.

Welcome to all the newbies! I’m just over 9 weeks, no real symptoms, had my booking in today and got my 12 week scan later in Jan. I’m 35 and first pregnancy. Still trying to believe there’s something in there tbh!

jennielm · 06/01/2020 14:38

I’m out. Good luck everyone.xx

PandaPink · 06/01/2020 15:42

Sorry to hear that @jennielm Flowers

@NamiSwan my belly has always been popped (obese BMI haha)
Had my booking appointment today, I will be red pathway and consultant led due to only just tipping the BMI limit for obesity. I will need GTT testing and weekly growth scans from 28 weeks. Oh yes and aspirin.
I have lost almost 2 stone since my last loss so I could be worse.

Macbless · 06/01/2020 17:56

Really sorry to hear that @jennielm I say you were having a scan on the Facebook group and had my fingers crossed for good news. Look after yourself xxx

Jojo19834 · 06/01/2020 18:48

@jennielm sorry to hear that, think I commented on fb, take care x

@PandaPink tell me to do one if you want but I just tip over the obesity scale as well. What is the red pathway? Is this a bad thing? My booking in appointment is Thursday so let’s see what advice I get as everywhere seems so different! Weekly scans from 28 weeks seems a lot!! I don’t think I’d have a problem doing it if it means baby safety but think I’ll be sick of the hospital before I’m due! I also work 50 miles away from home so going to mean a lot of WFH. Oh well!

heroineinahalfshell · 06/01/2020 18:50

@jennielm sorry to hear your news.

@PandaPink, do you mind me asking your BMI, and what red pathway means? I think my BMI is around 31. Confused I've got my booking in appointment next week.

PandaPink · 06/01/2020 19:34

I'm in Scotland and red pathway means you are a more high risk pregnancy. You can go onto red I believe for a multitude of reasons but I'm on due to weight and direct family history of type 2 diabeetes. It means I will have consultant led care. But if everything is progressing as it should and my BP and baby etc is okay you can step down to amber/green pathway it's not set in stone.

At home on my own scales (and in the nude haha) my BMI is 35.1 but at the appointment today it was 36.3. anything over 35 is red pathway here in Scotland. I'm 15st 9lbs and losing weekly due to altered appetite.

Jojo19834 · 06/01/2020 19:54

Thanks @pandapink, started googling and wondered if it was a Scottish thing. They probably have a similar thing in England but they may call it something else. Congratulations on the weight loss! I know in England if your BMI is over 30 they tell you not to gain weight and offer you some assistance, according to my sister that is

heroineinahalfshell · 06/01/2020 20:06

Ah thanks @PandaPink that's helpful. Am preparing myself to be told off due to my weight. We'll see.

Kbr1986 · 06/01/2020 20:36

@NamiSwan I used to be a triathlete in my heyday but now it's just regular exercise. Used to run a lot but that's changed a lot since having baby #1. I'm planning to swim tomorrow depending on my day. My LO starts her new nursery tomorrow and I've got the day off work! So much to do yet all I want to do is lie around and just watch friends! Sickness comes and goes and today I ate half a pack of S&V pringles as I felt so sick!

Louisaizzy · 06/01/2020 21:21

Is anyone thinking or had a private pre natal test? Or Harmony test?

Realladymarmalade · 06/01/2020 22:42

Louisa I'm 42, and thinking of getting the harmony test..
However right now I can't even get thru to the midwives centralised phone system
to get a booking appointment. Have made 6 attempts since Friday! Not impressed. I work in an open plan office so have to keep nipping out to make the call. 🙈

LoloFuentes · 06/01/2020 22:42

@jennielm sorry to hear your sad news.

@Jojo19834 I’m 6+2.

So if 35 is red pathway in Scotland I’m definitely on it as I’m 42. If they have the same here in England.

Realladymarmalade · 06/01/2020 22:54

And Jennie elm so sorry to hear. Xxx

ButterflyRuns · 06/01/2020 23:26

I’m also thinking of getting the Harmony Test due to my age as I’ve seen people say it’s more accurate than tests the NHS will do. If anyone has paid for it, was it worth it since it is pretty expensive? And so sorry @jennielm sending love Flowers

f00k · 06/01/2020 23:51

Hey everyone. Haven't been on this thread for a few days. Just catching up. So sorry jennielm Thanks

Tiredness is really hitting me lately. I wish I could nap all day. DD is 16 months and spends most days tearing the place apart and when she finally naps I get things done around the house instead of napping too.

DS has twice touched my tummy recently and told me he thinks I'm pregnant Shock to be fair my stomach hasn't exactly been toned since having DD so he could well just think I'm looking a bit round! We haven't mentioned anything in front of him.

Firstmummytobe · 07/01/2020 00:11

So, ended up in hospital on the Gynae ward as I’ve been having really strong pains to the point were I’m keeled over in pain. They said they are suspecting I might be having a threatened miscarriage, but this could also have a positive outcome and babe may be absolutely fine but it’s a low possibility.
I know this baby and pregnancy was meant to be and I’m keeping so positive that hopefully my 10 week little baba will stick.
If not everything happens for a reason and I will try again!
Trying to keep strong and positive❤️❤️😩

Nellie3 · 07/01/2020 06:22

Good luck @Firstmummytobe that's so shit. You're in the right place though and fingers crossed xxx

Firstmummytobe · 07/01/2020 07:46

Thankyou @nellie3 I haven’t slept with worry, but I still haven’t lost any blood so I’m just holding onto that being positive xxx

Firstmummytobe · 07/01/2020 11:06

So update, babe is all fine it turns out the pain is nothing to do with the babe🥰

@Firstmummytobe that's brilliant news and you got a brill pic 😄

PandaPink · 07/01/2020 13:04

Great news (not so great about the pain) @Firstmummytobe. How far along are you? Do you have a bump? Silly question I know. I just find it amazing how these wee babies are growing and we don't show.
