Hi all

Just thought I would get this set up so that we had somewhere to go at the end. Will link to it in the old thread. Can’t believe we reached the limit so soon!!!

Had my scan today, there is definitely something in there! The sonographer said all the measurements were fine but bloods for NHS and private harmony were taken afterwards so I'll need to wait until early next week for those.
It makes it feel so much more real now!
@stephD2020 and @Girlinglasses hope yours went well too Smile

I ummed and ahhhed about having harmony but I'm 35 and thought I'd keep wondering throughout the pregnancy as NHS test is based on a lot of probabilities. I also have a friend of a friend who recently had a downs baby and it was a complete surprise (in Germany so not sure what the testing is like there). The harmony was £375 at Chelsea & Westminster Kensington wing but I think it's worth it for full peace of mind.

@Jojo19834 no we didn't find out the sex/gender, I think I want the surprise at the birth. Congrats on a girl! Smile you can get shopping!
Also turns out I'm further along than we thought ... am 13+4

Hi everyone. Haven't posted on here in a while. Feels like everything has been going so slow. I'm 9+5 today with DC3 and woke up bleeding Sad had my booking appointment yesterday and everything was starting to feel real and I was getting a bump already. Went to A&E this morning as my hospital's maternity unit won't see you before 16 weeks. Been referred for a scan at the EPU tomorrow morning. Bleeding has continued all day. No cramps or pain. Just bright red blood. Pregnancy test at the hospital was positive and my hCG levels were raised but the doctor didn't tell me what they were or if they were the expected level for this stage. So it's a waiting game until tomorrow.

Changed my username for a bit more anonymity...

Had my 12 week scan today & I'm 13+3 with a due date of 3rd August. Baby was being stubborn and was facing down so had to go for a walk and eat something sweet & they flipped over. Everything looked normal and to ring next week to book 20 week scan in.

I can't wait to find out the gender! I'm leaning towards boy just because of how stubborn baby was today & knowing what their dad is like 😂

Hey guys, sorry for the slow reply. All been a bit of a whirlwind today!! Had a great scan result - measured in at 13+4 so due date moved forward to 2nd August! Same as you @el1984!

Congrats to everyone else getting their scan with good news today.

@el1984, how did you sort out your harmony test? Do you know when it's too late to have it done? I go skiing on Tuesday and not back until Sunday so might not be able to get it in if there's a cut off....

StephD2020 · 30/01/2020 17:38

@f00k easier said than done but try not to worry. Bleeding early on isn't uncommon and if you aren't experiencing pain then that's a good sign. I will be keeping everything crossed for you until tomorrow xxx

Girlinglasses · 30/01/2020 19:03

Awww yay @StephD2020! Mine went really well too- due date moved from 7th to 5th and everything looked great- baby wasn't stubborn or anything so we got some great pictures! I think I won't bother with the Harmony test- my results were incredibly low, doc said they were about as low as they go, and I'll be 33 when due so think I'll leave it with the gods. I know my sis was 35 on her second so decided to get it done so I probably will do the same but think I'll leave it for this one - I'm not feeling too anxious x

EL1984 · 30/01/2020 19:13

@StephD2020 the harmony can be done from 10 weeks onward... I don't think there is an end point where it's too late.

f00k · 30/01/2020 20:01

Thank you @StephD2020. I just want to time to fast forward to tomorrow so we know what's going on.

NamiSwan · 31/01/2020 10:16

Good luck today @f00k, hope all is well.

14+1 today and sickness has really calmed down, just have a few times a day where it comes back briefly. Actually felt normal yesterday evening. Hoping I'm on the home straight now. But now I have two new fun symptoms: being starving ALL THE TIME and having to get up every night to go for a wee.

Lots of stretching feelings today around my tummy so think baby must be having a growth spurt or something and that's why I'm so hungry.

Good luck to everyone with scans coming up 🤞🏻

f00k · 31/01/2020 12:23

It’s not good news. Baby hasn’t formed much at all really. Too small to even measure but estimated around 5 weeks. I should be 10 weeks today going by my LMP. I have to go back for another scan in 10 days as the hospital won’t do anything until they have two scans to show that baby hasn’t grown. I know I’m not 5 weeks out with my dates, and combined with the bleeding, a miscarriage is more than likely. So my body will naturally do its thing over the next 10 days or I’ll be given some options after the scan. Good luck to everyone and I wish you all healthy, happy pregnancies.

StephD2020 · 31/01/2020 12:44

Oh @f00k I'm really sorry to hear that, are you ok? Thinking of you at this horrible time xx

NamiSwan · 31/01/2020 13:18

I'm so sorry @f00k 😥

sezzywoowoo21 · 31/01/2020 15:54

@f00k I’m so so sorry 😥 xx

heroineinahalfshell · 31/01/2020 17:55

Very sorry to hear that @f00k Flowers

Firstmummytobe · 02/02/2020 07:27

@f00k so sorry for your loss💔💔

I am so overly tired this week, but 2 more little days until I can found out the gender.
It’s so exciting as it’s my first!!

How is everybody else doing?
❤️❤️❤️❤️

StephD2020 · 02/02/2020 07:34

Hey @Firstmummytobe that's so exciting! I think I'm going to find out at 20 weeks as since our scan on Thursday I keep analysing trying to work out pink or blue! Hahaha

I've been eating so much of late that I really need to reign it in. We are on holiday Tues - Sun so when I'm back I think I'm gonna have to put myself on a healthy eating plan! X

MaisieMolly · 02/02/2020 09:16

@f00k so sorry to hear this, hope you are ok. x

@Firstmummytobe what scan are you having to find out gender? I thought that could only be done from 16 weeks on a private scan. But you must be earlier than that? Very exciting for you!

@StephD2020 me too! Can’t work out if the “bump” im getting is a real bump or just too many chips and chocolate Grin

Firstmummytobe · 02/02/2020 10:02

@maisiemolly
It’s from 14 weeks, there is a private scanning clinic round the corner from me (Liverpool) and they booked me in and when I asked they said the earliest they had revealed was 12 weeks. However 14 is preferred and I will be 14+4

blackpinkinyourarea · 02/02/2020 15:23

I'm really sorry @f00k SadFlowers

Has anyone else been told they have low papp-a after their 12 week blood screening?

StephD2020 · 02/02/2020 19:53

Not had my blood work results back yet @blackpinkinyourarea but I've read it's not really something to worry about as most women who have it go on to have perfectly healthy babies. X

blackpinkinyourarea · 02/02/2020 20:51

@StephD2020 i want to believe that but ive actually come across the complete opposite as iv done nothing this weekend but research it. My anxiety has already been heightened this last week as I've had a lot of brown spotting ever since my bleed on the day of my 12 week scan. This result letter arriving on my doorstep yesterday has now really thrown me, and ive convinced myself ive got problems with my placenta/cervix/both. I'll be ringing my midwife tomorrow morning as I really want to get checked over, although i have a feeling i'll be fobbed off.

berrynice16 · 03/02/2020 07:25

Morning ladies!

Sorry will make sure I catch up and read the full thread later, I have my dating scan today and absolutely bricking it - no specific reason but woke up this morning and it finally dawned on me 🙈🙈

Dollywilde · 03/02/2020 08:43

@berrynice16 I know what you mean - mine was Thursday and I’d kept a lid on the nerves until about 12 hours before when it all hit me! Good luck. Smile

StephD2020 · 03/02/2020 09:40

Likewise @berrynice16 and @Dollywilde !!! But I am sure it will all be just fine and it will be wonderful watching your little bean for the first time 🥰
