Hi all

Just thought I would get this set up so that we had somewhere to go at the end. Will link to it in the old thread. Can’t believe we reached the limit so soon!!!

Hi Ladies. I am still watching the posts, been feeling a bit down and negative in the last week or so which is why I haven't posted. My symptoms have seemed to have eased too particularly the nausea and vomiting. 10 weeks today, wish I could be excited!

StephD2020 · 13/01/2020 20:36

@Jojo19834 it was actually a pre honeymoon present so that all inclusive got massively underused!!

I'm actually going skiing again in 3 weeks time.... I felt great last week on the mountain (must've been all that fresh air) so as long as I feel good in 3 weeks it should all be fine. Got a fab spa in the hotel as a contingency plan though

@MaisieMolly I was expecting to have my scan on 23rd as it's when I'll be 12 weeks but I haven't even had my booking appt yet! That's booked for this Saturday and scan on 30th. Time seems to be passing so slowly right now!

EROD · 13/01/2020 20:56

@StephD2020 I bet you had a lovely time in the mountains. I skied in my first trimester with no 3. We’re going skiing on 28th March and I. Going to play it by ear as to whether I ski. Not sure my ski trousers will fit by the. 😂

NamiSwan · 13/01/2020 21:02

Welcome @stephd2020!

11 weeks today, and two weeks till my scan! Time is crawling....

I'm another one whose symptoms have really eased in the last week or so. It's really strange as this didn't happen with either of my previous pregnancies (both girls) and I was feeling rubbish/nauseous for much longer! Maybe I'm just lucky this time or maybe it's a boy? It was freaking me out and I was worried about it but from the sounds of it quite a few of us at the same sort of stage have experienced this so hoping its just a sign my placenta is taking over some of the hard work.

My belly has massively popped this week 😱 I was hoping I wouldn't get so massive so early on this time (I did in my second pregnancy) but no luck.

RandomWord · 13/01/2020 21:03

I am coming up to the 10 week mark now. Have my booking in appointment on Fri week. I think I will tell work then after that. Eeek!
I have only told immediate family so far.

Anyone's trousers getting a bit tight yet? Mine are already. It might be more Christmas related though! I can't remember when I started getting bigger on my previous two pregnancies.

Has anyone tried finding the heartbeat using a home Doppler yet?

StephD2020 · 13/01/2020 21:04

Oh @EROD it was fab - we had planned to squeeze another one in 2nd week of March but not sure how big I'll be by then? And I'm with you on the clothing front - having to buy a new jacket for Feb! If you're on the lookout have a look at ridestore - they do great baggy jackets and trousers!

On a non ski related topic, my booking appt keeps getting pushed back and is now not until Saturday when I'll be 11+3 based on the date of my last period - does this seem late or normal?

Girlinglasses · 13/01/2020 21:50

@Tink12345 I'm sorry to hear that you've been feeling down- if it helps I think that can be very normal with hormones but keep an eye and let your midwife know if it continues or you feel that it's overwhelming, they are really supportive ❤️

@StephD2020 I skied when I was six weeks pregnant (wasn't up the duff when we booked 🙄) and I basically started my worst period of morning sickness the day we left 😂 I puked on the bus on the way to the resort and had to have plain pasta for dinner every night! I did manage to ski for a few hours every day in the afternoons though and it was really lovely!!

MaisieMolly · 14/01/2020 08:29

@StephD2020 @erod I’ve got a skiing holiday booked with my DP, DS and her husband in March! Hopefully I’ll be in my second trimester then, so will probably not ski and instead will do some swimming, shopping and walking! I do love being in the mountains so shouldn’t be too difficult to have a nice time anyway. I knew there was a possibility I’d be pregnant when I booked it, so booked a town with lots of other things to do!

EROD · 14/01/2020 14:04

@MaisieMolly you’ll have a lovely time. Find a sunny deck chair someone and enjoy hot chocolates with cream and lots of people watching.

StephD2020 · 14/01/2020 15:39

Ahh @Girlinglasses that doesn't sound fun! Fortunately I haven't had any morning sickness, my mum didn't get any either so I'm hopeful that as I'm 11 weeks tomorrow I've managed to dodge that bullet 🤞🏻

@MaisieMolly yea you will have a fab time regardless - the mountains are amazing. Good excuse to eat loads of lovely tartiflette!! 😋

PandaPink · 14/01/2020 17:59

I just used the Doppler at work and listened to babies heartbeat Smile so happy to hear it found it right away!

Firstmummytobe · 14/01/2020 19:08

MaisieMolly · 14/01/2020 19:29

Oh @firstmummytobe I was wondering how you were doing. Happy to hear you’re feeling better!

Hope everyone else is doing good.

I can’t believe the first of us on this group have our 12 week scans next week, so exciting (but I’m also quite nervous!) x

sezzywoowoo21 · 15/01/2020 09:20

Hello all how are we doing?11weeks today feeling ok just tired of being so tired lol 12 week scan on the 28th even tho I’ll be 13weeks day after so can’t wait not seen lil bean since I was 6wks xx gd luck to all having scans soon

DanielleG96 · 15/01/2020 09:28

It's exciting seeing people having their 12 week scans soon! I'm 11+1 today and haven't seen baby since 7+3 so am looking forward to my scan soon! It should arrive in the post in the next few days so I think it will be when I'm closer to 13-14 weeks instead of 12 but that's ok! I feel okay too. My symptoms are pretty non existent, my boobs hurt less now and apart from that it's just tiredness. I slept from 8pm until 7am this morning and still feel like I could do another few hours!

KirstieC · 15/01/2020 09:38

11 weeks today! Having the day off work to rest as felt rubbish yesterday & now started antibiotics for a urine infection Sad

12 week scan booked for the 30th when I'll be 13 weeks and a day, but day after my birthday so will be nice! Also booked a private scan for this Friday!! Which will be the first time seeing/hearing baby. The OH can't make the hospital scan due to jury service Angry

Anyone else been told they should take aspirin? I've to start from 12 weeks to prevent pre-eclampsia all because my mum had it with my brother....

PandaPink · 15/01/2020 10:08

Yes @KirstieC I've to take it too. I'm in Scotland and my midwife said there is research going on that one day every pregnant woman will be taking aspirin as it thins the blood efficiently enough to allow better transfer of nutrients and waste across the placenta.

LanieM87 · 15/01/2020 10:12

I've also been told to take aspirin as well, she mentioned it at my booking appointment a couple of weeks ago and I only got round to buying some yesterday.
Mind I forgot to take it today 🙈

MaisieMolly · 15/01/2020 11:32

Has anyone else’s boob soreness and swollenness disappeared? Mine are back to normal Confused after weeks of being sore, hard and huge. I don’t really have any other symptoms and haven’t in the whole time.
I’m almost 11 weeks.

Seasidegirl11 · 15/01/2020 11:57

Yes my boobs are definitely no way near as sore as they were, just tender. I also had my first day without throwing up yesterday and even ate vegetables! Sickness back today tho. I’m almost 11 weeks as well and definitely starting to feel a little better some days. Think this is all very normal as placenta starts working a bit ! My scan is two weeks today :)

Ravecat · 15/01/2020 13:59

Hi all!

This is my first pregnancy, I had my dating scan today and I’m 11+3 - EDD 2nd Aug. I was very apprehensive before the scan to let myself get involved with any baby related forums or anything up until this point! Feeling much better now though!

Hope you are all having a good day :)

KirstieC · 15/01/2020 17:51

@PandaPunk that's good to hear, I was worrying about it a bit

KirstieC · 15/01/2020 17:52

@PandaPink even 🤪

StephD2020 · 15/01/2020 17:57

Afternoon everyone, hope you're all doing well??

@sezzywoowoo21 I'm with you on the being tired front - sick of it! I'm normally someone who's on the go from the minute they are awake and it's all I can do to keep my eyes open at the moment! 😴

I've not got my scan until 30th - haven't had any appts at all so starting to feel like it might all be in my head... or my boobs... 🤣

To those of you with easing symptoms, I've only had sore boobs and they are quite off and on. The only constant I've had is the tiredness, otherwise no other symptoms at all! Think I'm the same as you @DanielleG96 for symptoms and I'm 1 day behind you I think!

Can't wait to have our scan so we can finally start telling people - time is passing sooooo slowly!!

MaisieMolly · 15/01/2020 18:31

@Ravecat welcome, I think you’re the first on the group to have your “12 week” scan - congratulations!! Counting down the days until my scan next week.

@stephd2020 and @DanielleG96 I’m the same on symptoms, haven’t really had any. Been a bit tired but that’s also the time of year, I always want to sleep lots in winter.

Hope those of you with strong symptoms and nausea get some relief soon!
