Hi all

Just thought I would get this set up so that we had somewhere to go at the end. Will link to it in the old thread. Can’t believe we reached the limit so soon!!!

@Nellie3 I'm about the same time along and feel like my symptoms are also plateauing a bit so maybe it's just the time that things start to ease! I am just going with no bleeding = good sign until I know for sure otherwise. Also my boobs are still huge so... 😂

Girlinglasses · 11/01/2020 19:42

also welcome @UnexpectedItemInTheShaggingAre and congrats! Thanks

Seasidegirl11 · 11/01/2020 20:02

I’m just over 10 weeks. Thought my symptoms were plateauing a little the last week but they’ve got worse with a vengeance the last 24 hours :( bored of all the nausea and vomiting, can’t wait to get some energy back! Midwife said I should start feeling better soon.

Jojo19834 · 11/01/2020 20:04

Another around 10 weeks that is feeling very normal. Suddenly feel like it’s not real but glad you are all the same. The only symptom I have really is not hungry to starving in 2 minutes flat. Also spent the day with my nieces and nephews and when one was sat on my lap he could sit back fully as my belly got in the way, I know that’s a new sensation! Glad others are feeling the same, makes me feel better

@Jojo19834 same with the hunger, can be getting on with the day just fine and then the hunger hits and I HAVE to eat something or feel like I'm going to throw up.

@girlinglasses how did you find teaching this week? Mine wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, just snacked every chance I got and tried to take it slightly easier than I normally would and not stay as late. In PE I had to hold back as was getting out of breath and my boobs hurt so much! Been showering, eating then pretty much to bed when getting home. On Wednesday I fell asleep at 7pm and slept through til 6am 😅

PandaPink · 11/01/2020 21:21

This morning is the first morning all week I haven't been sick. Had nausea here and there and I'm the same with not hungry to very hungry in 2 minutes flat thing. Measured 10wks and 3 on thurs.

Kbr1986 · 11/01/2020 22:18

Had my bloods test this morning. I think I'm around 9+4. The midwife did all my consent for the scans and a little bit of advice information and asked about the last baby and what she weighed etc.
Seemed to make it a bit more real. I'm starving all the time and also shattered. Unfortunately with a 15 month old to chase around I haven't got the luxury of naps and she still wakes in the night. I'm also working most evenings until 10pm so then I get home and to bed and up at 6 most mornings. Enjoy it while it lasts ladies cos in a few months time we shall we walking up frequently to pee and try to get comfortable in bed!

alexTP · 11/01/2020 22:43

Hello,

I had an early scan which was super confusing.. first the technician told me I am 6weeks+2days .. and based on my last period I calculated 7weeks +6 days.. secondly while we heard a heart beat, it was faint and not particularly fast. I believe even at 6-7weeks heart beat is 110-120beats per min?

I have been asked to rescan this Tuesday .. quite nervous.. a friend told me dating scans are way more accurate than "first day of last period" as ovulation can take place later than we think... but still I am super nervous.. wonder if anyone else had the same issue?

DanielleG96 · 11/01/2020 23:27

Has anyone else started getting up in the night to pee? I'm 10+4 and since hitting 10 weeks I have been waking up every night at about 3am desperate to pee. My vivid dreams have also reappeared this week and I have had the most strange dreams for the past 5 nights and I can still remember all of them. Last nights one was particularly annoying as I dreamt that I could hear this alarm going off whilst I was in bed and I couldn't turn it off.. woke up 45 minutes later to realise it was my actual alarm going off that had made its way into my dream, making me wake up nearly an hour late for work today Hmm does anyone have alarm dreams like that? Even before I became pregnant a lot of my more vivid dreams are of an alarm that I can't turn off when In fact it's my real life alarm. Very annoying!!

Babykent2019 · 12/01/2020 04:18

@DanielleG96 I'm 9 weeks and my vivid dreams seem to have stopped 2 weeks ago. However insomnia and peeing all night has been strong since the start of last week. Some nights I've got up 4 times to pee 😴

Jojo19834 · 12/01/2020 07:18

@DanielleG96 have you looked up what that means, many people believe that certain recurring dreams mean something. Be interesting to know! My night was all vivid dreams, think I had 2 clear nights but last night was a busy one!

@alexTP try not to worry, baby sizes change a lot until 12 weeks when they date you. Before then the same aged baby can measure differently. Also LMP only works accurately if you ovulate on a specific date in you let X day long cycle. My cycles are shorter so I will date earlier than LMP. There are several factors so try not to worry until Tuesday x

@DanielleG96 I peed through the night before i got pregnant but even more so now.
I am really enjoying the vivid dreams. They are so clear and happen every night x

MaisieMolly · 12/01/2020 09:25

@DanielleG96 I’ve been having vivid dreams since I found out. Not every night but most nights. And getting up to pee much more than I was before too. I get really thirsty in the evenings so maybe that’s partly why.

DanielleG96 · 12/01/2020 16:28

Does anyone else in this group have rhesus negative blood?

heroineinahalfshell · 12/01/2020 16:59

@DanielleG96 I do, and my DH is rhesus positive. First pregnancy so hopefully won't be an issue, but I'm going to speak to the midwife about it tomorrow at my booking in appointment.

DanielleG96 · 12/01/2020 17:49

@heroineinahalfshell it's my first pregnancy too, I had my booking appointment today and she explained about it. I will be offered a genetics test at 16 weeks to check baby's blood group and if it is not rhesus then I will be given an injection (I forget the name) at 25 weeks to make sure everything's ok and also to protect the next pregnancy as if I don't have it then I will reject the next one. She also said that I have to be extra careful about any bleeding or bumping etc as if that happens I'll have to have that same injection to make sure the baby's blood doesn't mix with mine because my body will then make anti bodies against the baby. But everything should be ok and I'm not worried. My mum has had 5 healthy pregnancies whilst being rhesus negative :)

heroineinahalfshell · 12/01/2020 19:30

Good to know, that was also my understanding of it - tho not sure if they check baby blood group in my area. Using it as an excuse not to do any running/cycling during the pregnancy (fall risk) - not that I did much before!

Realladymarmalade · 12/01/2020 22:39

Love love loving the vivid dreams.
Well dry heavuary (as I have renamed it) seems to be settling down here, albeit a moment in aldi today, as I passed cold meat aisle 🤢.. not getting Hope's up , but do wonder if was growing a major baby organ or something last Friday? I was flat out exhausted too. I guess it can just fluctuate.

Loving the vivid dreams .

Meh to Monday .

Realladymarmalade · 12/01/2020 22:42

Ps conception to birth visualized on TED is worth a watch. Amazing

P.p.s. I think I am slowly getting my head around the thought of three dc, if this one sticks. Still panicking though.
My 5 year old daughter keeps role playing childbirth, having a baby , the lot. She has no clue, they won't until 12 weeks. But it's very cute.

Polly1116 · 13/01/2020 07:26

I’ve got 2 boys and my my symptoms always subside around the 10 week mark. My midwife said it’s because the placenta starts taking over which means the hormones start to settle down. So it’s completely normal, try not to worry ( a lot easier said than done when pregnant I know!) x

PandaPink · 13/01/2020 07:41

@polly116 yes it is a little unnerving feeling better after the 10 week mark. I've had a great weekend with more food than I've had in the past 8 weeks.
However I went an hour long walk yesterday and had to really slow down at the end and collapsed on the couch for the rest of the day exhausted. I'm in a bad way! Lol

StephD2020 · 13/01/2020 08:56

Morning all - late to the party here but I am pregnant for the first time at 37 and need a group to allay my fears! We have been trying for 3 years and fell pg second cycle after HSG. Based on dates I think I am 10+5 and due 6th Aug. Not had any appointments yet as I’ve been on honeymoon and came back from skiing yesterday. Booking appt is scheduled for this Thursday and first scan not until 30th Jan! The waiting is killing me!

Jojo19834 · 13/01/2020 17:42

Ooooh @StephD2020 yes late to the party! What a lovely honeymoon present!! Can’t believe you were skiing as well, couldn’t imagine doing that whilst this bleugh! Welcome to the group :-)

MaisieMolly · 13/01/2020 19:05

@StephD2020 welcome! I think you’re about the same number of weeks along as me. I’ve got my scan on 23rd, time is ticking so slowly!

Glad to hear that lots of people are feeling a bit better, we are getting closer to the second trimester ladies!

Girlinglasses · 13/01/2020 19:30

I'm having some sort of 10 week regression 😱 I was so nauseous at 6 and 7 weeks and then gradually started feeling a lot better, until by the start of week 10 I felt great and now the last few days my afternoon/evening nausea is full blown back 🤢 Is this normal??
