Hi ladies, thank you for your well wishes. So I was induced yesterday afternoon, got to 10cm dilated and had my full waters broke, pushed for 1. 5 hours to no avail, baby was back to back, they tried a forceps delivery with no joy so I ended up having an emergency c section at 3.37 today baby freddie was born at 6lb 11oz.a traumatic day but I'm besotted it was well worth it xx

singme · 13/03/2020 23:41

@Jesskir89 congratulations! Sounds like a very long and difficult day and night. Hope you are both doing well and enjoy your little one Smile

barnyb · 14/03/2020 00:23

@Jesskir89 wow congratulations and well done you absolute tough cookie! It’s such hard work and it sounds like you are going to need a big rest. Hopefully you don’t rush hole from hospital and take as much time as you need to get all the help from staff. I stayed two nights but wish I had asked for a 3rd! Well done xxxxxx

Jesskir89 · 14/03/2020 04:46

Thanks ladies. A very tough 2 days but he is well worth it in besotted by him. @barnyb we have to stay in 3 nights because of the group b strep too babies bloods take 36 hours to come back and they want to keep observing him plus I had a temperature while in theatre. Hope you and your little one are doing well, what did you name her x

jollybobs89 · 14/03/2020 11:28

@Jesskir89 awwww congratulations ❤️ all the hard work done now xx

jollybobs89 · 14/03/2020 11:31

Did anyone have a show before they went into labour?? I've had bleeding since the middle of the night like four lots started off really dark blood now it's like pinky brown!!

atomcats · 14/03/2020 13:58

@Jesskir89 congratulations! I hope you are both recovering well

MissPepper8 · 14/03/2020 15:10

@Jesskir89 Ah congratulations lovely, glad you and baby are all OK no matter how he arrived :). Hope the test comes back fine now so you can go home xx

@jollybobs89 I lost my plug on 6th.. Had bloody show that started Friday after my sweep and stopped this Thursday (tmi but it started bright red, had it double checked, if its with mucus it's fine but if its not and like period blood ring ASAP and it stopped Thursday when it was just weird red colour). No baby yet 😂😭 but heads dropped and I'm in agonny here 😭

jollybobs89 · 14/03/2020 21:27

@MissPepper8 I'm so uncomfortable too!!! Feel so ropey too I could cry today haha

atomcats · 14/03/2020 22:12

I’m very jealous of the positive signs, although I appreciate they must feel pretty frustrating if things aren’t progressing! Nothing of note here, I think I’m in it for the long haul... on the plus side I’ve been able to start doing some batch cooking to try and make things easier once baby does make an appearance! Midwife has booked me in for sweeps at 40 and 40+3 but I really would prefer to avoid it as the idea makes me feel more nervous than labour!

jollybobs89 · 15/03/2020 06:41

@atomcats well that's good least you'll be prepared when baba comes! My midwife won't do a sweep at 40 weeks said that they aren't allowed anymore!!! I have to be more towards 41 Sad Although I had two with my first and they didn't work!

momytokondi · 15/03/2020 07:19

Having c section this coming week. Those who've had their babies, congratulations firstly. Are the doctors saying anything about corona virus?

atomcats · 15/03/2020 09:40

@jollybobs89 my nhs trust seems to like to do things differently... they were also checking the heartbeat from 16 weeks which most places won’t do now. I can confirm that that was perhaps the longest few minutes of my life waiting there to hear it!!

I am tempted to cancel the sweep on my due date. I understand the rational for it if overdue (or if you request it earlier) but I would prefer to at least give my body the chance to do it itself rather than immediately intervening 🤷‍♀️ Although give me another week and I might be counting down the days!!!

DerbyshireGirly · 15/03/2020 14:19

@Jesskir89 congratulations!!

MiniJMac · 15/03/2020 15:39

@jollybobs89 that's interested. I'm booked in for a sweep at 40+5. She said they do it when your five days over here.

MissPepper8 · 15/03/2020 15:47

My waters went at 6.45pm last night, was reading here lol after a nap, got up and wet came out so I ran to loo and thought I'd weed but no, I bent over and it went all over my bathroom floor! and it hasn't stopped ever since. Apparently you're like a leaking tap until you give birth lol.

I've got to go back at 7pm for pessary, I've had contractions all night but soon as I rest they stop and i have to start moving to help them. I'm a bit gutted as I wanted to avoid this but keeping my chin up and least they all went this time, just very sore and shattered.

atomcats · 15/03/2020 20:46

@MissPepper8 exciting! Best of luck and I hope everything goes as smoothly as possible!

singme · 15/03/2020 21:20

@MissPepper8 hope it’s all going well! So exciting!

Jesskir89 · 15/03/2020 22:26

Thanks for the messages ladies, came home today. Baby is perfect and I'm recovering :) @misspepper8 good luck I hope the pessary works for you, I was fine until they cranked the drip up and you are a leaking tap until birth lol. Good luck anyone else who's close x

Seren1979 · 16/03/2020 17:14

I forgot that i was signed in, hope everyone is ok and that if you have had your babies they are all doing well.
I was induced last week at 37weeks, 3days of induction that ended up with them breaking my waters and then put on the hormone drip.. And boy!! Did they kick in! 4hr 16mins later Anni arrived into the world weighing 5lb 11oz, considering all the scares we've had since Christmas, she is perfect in every way and my ice queen image has melted just a smidge with her! ❤️❤️

Jesskir89 · 16/03/2020 19:49

@seren1979 congratulations! That bloody drip lol glad you and baby are well. @misspepper8 how you getting on?

atomcats · 16/03/2020 22:23

Congratulation @Seren1979! Hope you are both recovering well.

jollybobs89 · 18/03/2020 19:26

@Seren1979 congratulations!! Hope your doing well! Xx

Gosh looks like everything has taken a turn for the worst hasn't it Confused feeling very hormonal today about the future and just want this baby here now! 39 weeks today!

MissPepper8 · 18/03/2020 23:11

Sorry girls, Its a boy! lol and he's amazing, 7lb of beautiful little human. I adore him so much and he's breastfeeding beautifully.

So I was induced as my contractions wernt starting and then put on the drip.. I went on the drip for 12 hours, I used gas and air only, I kneeled for 8 hours of it because as soon as I got there, babies head disengaged (hence the stop starting) but after 6 hours he was engaged so by then that was a whole 6 hours of softening and getting him down and dilating. I was hypercontracting after 12 hours (like contraction with no spaces) and they decided I might get sepsis so took me in for a section.

So from here they discovered my babies cord had a knot and if I had delivered naturally he would of had serious injury or the unthinkable and my previous scar had ruptured internally at some point so again what could of happened could of been so much worse. Im deeply sad in a way I'll never be able to give birth naturally it's a wonderfully experience I'm sure but I'm so happy baby is with me and I'm so in love with him,. I'm having a day of just thanking God babies ok and were both still here.

singme · 19/03/2020 09:27

@MissPepper8 congratulations on your little boy! That’s wonderful.

@Seren1979 also congratulations. Fantastic news!
