So no joy at my 4d scan today... My little man would only show his bum and bits haha had his legs over his head. Have to go back next sat

Dinosauraddict · 14/12/2019 19:26

Thanks @MissPepper8 and @Jesskir89 - just trying to distract myself over the weekend. My poor DH has been presented with a v large DIY to-do list! Shame you couldn't get a good image today @Jesskir89 but at least you get to see baby next Sat again too :)

@Dinosauraddict hello Iv just seen all the updates as haven't been on here since beginning of the week. I'm sorry you've had a terrible time! I hope your ok and your resting. Sending big love to you! how many weeks are you currently ?
when you say you had reduced movements what did you mean? Was there a big gap since the last movement ? Xxxxxxxx

Dinosauraddict · 14/12/2019 21:02

Thanks @barnyb, currently 27+4. Have had regular pattern of movements for weeks, but had 2 days this week where he barely moved at all. My DH thinks he is 'probably just tired' but inside I'm panicking that it could be due to this 'shadow'/fluid that's showing up. Instead of resting I've been throwing myself into house renovations as a distraction! Grin

Oh bless you. !! I would be exactly the same as you of the shoe was on the other foot. It really is such a scary time for us! I think especially now knowing they can survive outside the womb but obviously not ideal at all. It’s so worrying!!!
Yes great idea lovely! Keep busy and let’s hope Monday hurries up for you and you get to see what’s going on hopefully.
I did read that sometimes they just have restful times now and then and will rest from movements. but that isn’t really any comfort is it.
These naughty children of ours are already causing mischief 🥰❤️❤️

MissPepper8 · 14/12/2019 22:28

@Jesskir89 Ahh noo.. Did they try everything? This baby was really wriggly she couldn't get it to stay still or keep hands from face. How many weeks will you be next week? They say 27 is ideal as baby is not so big and has a bit of chub (our munch looked a bit skinny 😂) x

@Dinosauraddict I can imagine, Fx you get news you need on Monday. I'd spend the weekend spoiling yourselves xx

barnyb · 14/12/2019 22:52

Hey guys I have just had some leakage from my little boobies ! It's clear ! Anyone else has this? Also I know it sounds crazy but I now all of a sudden feel like I'm properly pregnant!! Despite having a huge belly and all the other symptoms! The leaking boobs have really confined it ! 🤩😬

maria94 · 14/12/2019 23:45

@barnyb I've had this a few times now! Not the most pleasant thing in the world is it 😂 Xx

Dinosauraddict · 15/12/2019 04:54

Haha @barnyb no sorry I haven't had that so can't help, but feel like I should say congrats? Grin

@dinosauraddict glad you've been keeping busy hopefully tomorrow comes quick for you. @misspepper8 glad you got to see your little one :) yes they scanned me twice first he had his legs over his head then I had a walk and some sweets then he wouldn't move his arms, bless him. Saw all his bits though he's defo a boy haha. @barnyb I've had it on and off for a couple of weeks :)

barnyb · 15/12/2019 08:46

Ohhh it’s all very exciting isn’t it !! Xxxx 😂

MissPepper8 · 15/12/2019 11:50

@Jesskir89 Least you get to see him again, things like this drive me nuts cause I'm so excited to see 😂

@barnyb I wear sports type bras for comfort to bed/around house and I've had wet patches.. I never had it this bad with DS although I had bloody leaky boobs 6 months after I stopped feeding him. I tried cabbage leaves and everything haha..

whiskersonkittenss · 15/12/2019 12:12

Yes to boobs leaking. Mine have been since about 22 weeks (28+4 now) and I need to wear pads every day 🙄

If you join the boots parenting club and have an advantage card, they give you a voucher for a free box of breast pads. Smile

maria94 · 15/12/2019 16:25

@MissPepper8 is it a sign that you'll produce a good amount of milk when baby is here or does it not work like that?🤨 X

Jesskir89 · 15/12/2019 17:22

@barnyb it is :) mine aren't so had I have to wear a pad though but I'm a couple of weeks behind you. @misspepper8 yes good I get to see him again but frustrating as I'm impatient lol

Seren1979 · 15/12/2019 17:25

Creeps back in with a HI not been here for a few months, im 26+3, started to buy the essentials (aldi now stocks water wipes and vegan friendly and at 69p a pack, bloody bargain!!)
Im due for another scan and a appointment with the obstetric team on jan 9th as im "old and obese" 👵🏻😂
Hope you dont mind me crashing in x

Jesskir89 · 15/12/2019 19:38

@seren1979 welcome back! I'm 2 days behind you :) I've bought pretty much everything lol and probably too much of it too. I've got a growth scan on 3rd Jan due to being overweight and high risk from prior late mc. How have you found being pregnant at I'm guessing 40 due to your user name? I only ask as this is my first and would like more if I can...

Seren1979 · 15/12/2019 19:48

@jesskir89, to be honest it's been hell. Been vomiting for nearly 5months, severe ligaments pain and just had a mare of it.
This is my 1st and will be my last, i want them to sterilise me so it'll never happen again.
Ask away, not sure i can help but if i can i will x

maria94 · 15/12/2019 20:13

Has anyone here experienced Braxton hicks yet? I've had a few cramps throughout the day and my stomach goes rock solid.. not sure if it's the baby moving into a funny position or Braxton hicks!

Jesskir89 · 15/12/2019 20:36

@seren1979 sorry to hear that! Sounds awful, no wonder its put you off doing it again. I'm 30 now and apart from the usual I've been OK thankfully. I hope your last couple of months go better for you. @maria94 I haven't but it certainly could be and sounds like braxton hicks. Your body preparing for labour x

Dinosauraddict · 15/12/2019 21:55

@maria94 I've had braxton hicks on two separate days - confused me the first time. Felt like my whole tummy was tightening towards one spot in the middle, but didn't hurt.

ttc19 · 15/12/2019 22:22

@Jesskir89 @Seren1979 I'm also in the "overweight" club It's nice to hear that we're common!

@maria94 Yes I had Braxton hicks on Wednesday.. shocked me a little as I didn't have them with my first!!

Dinosauraddict · 16/12/2019 07:01

@ttc19 and me! Blush

Jesskir89 · 16/12/2019 12:28

@ttc19 were all in it together lol. How you getting on?

sadtoday21 · 16/12/2019 13:10

Hi ladies, hope you don't mind me popping back in to the new thread, 27+4 today. I can't believe the third trimester is almost here, it's kind of scary! Having a pattern of movements now, but still get really anxious when he goes a bit quiet. All my family booked their 10+ hour flights to come here for after the birth, so now of course I'm quite worried about how things are going to go!

@Dinosauraddict I read your updates and I really hope you are doing ok and that the scan does well today Xxx.

@Jesskir89 did you have a 4d scan? Will be interested to hear how your rescan goes! I have one booked for 28+2 on Saturday and can't wait for this week to be over...need to see him again and also the usual scanxiety! Do they do a movie?

How is everyone else doing? Hope you are all well!
