@maria94 No I still bled bright red all yesterday, I had to go in but she said it was fine, mucus stuff (how much is in there?!) and from cervix not inside.

Again sex suggested lol.. No.. I'm sore as and crampy as hell (my backs so bad I can't sit up) and really irratated inside. Not sure about this sweep business anymore.

@Hananah @AnxiousandExcited congratulations to you both!!!! Very jealous haha 😂 18 more sleeps till my due date not that I'm wishing to no longer be pregnant hahaha.

@barnyb yeah my midwife did the same.. filled me with quite a lot of false hope (probably more me getting over excited!) She was certain baby would be here by now but still no sign😟 I hope nothing is wrong!! Any updates your end? 41 weeks tomorrow, HOW?! Xx

@MissPepper8 that's good that they aren't worried, can't be nice for you though. I'm also not sure about sweeps either.. my past 2 have just caused painful contractions that have gone nowhere. Not sure I want to have a 3rd one! Xx

@maria94 I was starting to get worried last night that she might be in there too long and I was worried she won’t be ok. I think that must be normal for our stage if we both are thinking the same 😆
if anything they will be so healthy because everything is fully functional and shouldn’t be any issues just maybe a little bit fatter then the average baby :) I think we can handle that
I woke up a few times this morning with period tummy aches. It literally woke me up multiple times. I not sure what that was?? it came and went? Could this be something ??? hope so!!!!!

@barnyb I've been worrying about the same thing! If they could just come now that would be great😂 That definitely sounds positive!! I woke up with a few painful contractions last night but nothing that's made me think woo this could be it. The period pain has started for me too, which is new! Not had any before so fingers crossed it's a good sign for us both! I have given up with all the home remedies now.. if the sweeps haven't worked I'm pretty sure pineapple won't either 🤣Xx

@Hananah congratulations! I'm very jealous as we had the same due date lol is this your first?

I’m 38 weeks tomorrow and as much as it scares me a little that this could all be over soon I’m also secretly hoping that it is! I’ve loved being pregnant and feel very lucky to have got through with nothing really to write home about but these last few weeks of not sleeping, tiredness, and feeling uncomfortable etc are helping me to look forward to the next part!!

@maria94 I'm rh negative, so it was a concern incase my blood mixes with babies. No I'm exactly the same as you, so you can hold off on it I've been told now, (are you around 40weeks?). I was having one today but we said no to that on Friday, it's booked Thursday now but I'm going to get her to check and if I'm more 3cm go ahead with it, if not wait a bit more as I'll just be 39 +1 then.

If babies not ready they just don't work and I can't keep having them I've been in a lot of pain. It has dilated me and starting to efface but that's all the pain I'm getting.

@MissPepper8 I'm 40+6! I was 3cm dilated on Friday, head is fully engaged, I had a big bloody show 5 days ago.. so I'm not sure what's stopping my body from going into labour. Next sweep is meant to be next Wednesday but I may as well hold off for a few more days and be induced if all it's going to cause me is pain! This last bit is definitely not fun is it. X

@maria94 Ah :( see she told me you can go 12 days over and it might be even more favourable then. I think that's it, it's a bit of a lottery but you could go if you have it, but if you don't you'll be even more sore from inducing as they put tablets in you. They do work, I got dilated to over half way on them from nothing and some trusts do the balloon method if you don't want to be messed with x

@maria94 haha and the dates and the bloody raspberry leaf tea! Saying that I’m still drinking it ! lol. ok so Iv been having tightenings with period pains that come and go. At first was like every 30 mins? Only lasted about 30 seconds. And in between tightenings without any period pain. just B.H
Iv had a few closer together now every 15 mins.
It’s not stop me in my tracks pain at all. And iv been packing up my house all morning so I’m still able to do normal stuff. Haven’t had to take any paracetamol 😂
what’s happening with you? Wouldn’t it be funny if we both deliver on the same day! it’s been a hell of a journey hahaha xxx

@MissPepper8 my midwife said I wouldn't even need one of the tablets as I'm already so dilated, would just be a case of breaking my waters and I guess a drip if that doesn't work? Who knows! I might feel completely differently next Wednesday and be happy to take anything I can get lol X

@barnyb woooo things are happening, finally!!! I have every finger crossed that this is labour for you! Trust me paracetamol is a waste of time lol. Mine got to the point where the only thing that helped was breathing through them! I've had the odd cramp here and there and ALOT of pressure down below.. no tightening yet though! The cramps do seem to be getting worse as the day goes on though so maybe maybe....
How funny would that be!! Our bodies might be in sync with each other 🤣 Comon babies!! Xx

Having contractions every 7 mins at the mo. Getting bit more intense but it’s ok. They aren’t lasting too long. About 35 seconds or so. just going on my ball and keep hydrated at the moment. hopefully it doesn’t fizzle out. I’m kinda ready for this! @maria94 any tightenings?? Xxx

@maria94 I was also thinking that I wouldn’t bother having another sweep on Thursday and just wait to be induced two days later. That’s if nothing happens before then xx

@barnyb exciting!!! Hope they stick around and get more intense... in the nicest way possible lol! Mine picked up again at 4, still very irregular though so doubt they will go anywhere, again! Xx

Hello ladies
Have been to hospital and I’m in pre labour but not dilated enough. Have left with codeine and going home for a bath and rest if I can. In a lot of pain now when they kick in which is every few mins now xxxxx

Hey all,

After my contractions started on Friday and being sent home from the maternity assessment unit the early hours of Saturday morning, I went back to hospital at 1pm and was 6cm and put into the labour suite and had my baby girl at 2.13am Sunday morning Exactly on her due date! Still can't believe she's here!

Congrats everyone in their arrivals! Feels like things are really starting to kick off now.

I’ve been getting some twinges and crampy period type pains during the night. Midwife says it sounds like there’s motion in the ocean. But I’m still a week and a half from due date so I’ll probably be waiting for a good while yet.

@maria94 Yeah they'd pop them and if it didn't do anything stick you on a drip, they thought mine had gone with DS so did that with me. 100% try sex, that's what popped my back ones lol and squats on your knees, can help baby push down on cervix and dilate more. Been trying them as babies back to back and killing me.

Did any ladies labour's start off with period pains and back pain? 3 days now I've had this all day pretty much wake up with it. No braxtons anymore though.

Wondering if she broke me with the last sweep I'm so sore, and I'm still spotting. If this has done nothing by Thursday I'm not having another, too painful.

@misspepper8 how you getting on? @barnyb @maria94 any news?

@Jesskir89 I'm doing ok, babies head engaged I think, there's stuff going on, been to loo so many times today, pressure down below and braxtons but sadly no contractions.

How are you coping? I feel like this is first time for me as I never did this before so I can understand frustration now lol x
