oh, and still no symptoms for me. PLease please let me get some morning sickness or something soon, to reassure me!!!

PotPourri · 06/09/2007 10:33

Hi all. Shell, thinking about you. Glad everyone else seems to be getting on ok. Still morning sickness, and recovering from terrible cold here. I do feel much better so this cold has probably been a benefit to me as it makes me appreciate just feeling sick on it's own.

Hi everyone,I'm new. I'm due May 13th 2008.
I found out I was pregnant 3 days before my period was due and I had really really bad cramps for three days while I was supposed to be on. They seem to have stopped today and I'm not sick today which is the first time in a week. My boobs have gone from an E to a FF already!!! In my fifth week!! I've had dizzy spells, sore tonsils, sore gums, sickness, headaches, back ache, tummy ache but it's all calmed down today. Does this sound normal to everyone? I reckon I could be a little further on than I expect when i go for my scan.

walkingwomb · 06/09/2007 15:52

I feel all fluey today. is that an early pregnancy symptom - or do I have the flue??? Help!!

Emmsy · 06/09/2007 22:29

Hello all,
Goodcatholicgirl thanks for info on thread, I will have a look at it as soon as I can find a little spare time!( I also told my mum 2day! I couldn't help myself )
Mum2madison was your LMP 29 July? My boobs have been sore on and off for most of the day, my tummy hasn't bloated this time but did in prev pregs!
Hayley&baby, I have had some bad headaches over the last few days. My boobs don't go that big, just the rest of me (face, belly, legs etc..)I had a breast reduction approx 10 years ago and I asked them to take a little too much off! I have once "leaked" milk out of one nipple, but I am unable to breastfeed!I Did attempt to breastfeed my 1st baby but when I couldn't do it I felt like a total failure, no one had explained to me that the op would stop me from breastfeeding!
(I would have still gone ahead with
op though as I hated my prev boobs!)I
usually suffer from dizzy spells when I am pregnant but they haven't started yet, Dr said it's down to my low blood pressure! Hope all who are poorly feel better soon, but I am feeling alittle 2 those who have morning sickness!
take care!

Emmsy · 06/09/2007 22:43

Goodcatholicgirl, I have just visited the thread you told me about, I was in there for approx 2 minutes and was in floods of tears re:Oinker, I have had to leave it as too upset, Thanks for the info though, I will try it again soon!

Emmsy - I know what you mean about that thread, it's good support but then awful when you read that people have then suffered further mc......kinda scary huh?

We can support each other (and anyone else petrified of mc) on this thread instead .

Anyone for morning sickness????

aquababe · 07/09/2007 19:21

Getting really frustrated with this not telling people malarky.
We've decided to tell some people (Parents & best friends) all going well after the next scan at 7 weeks. (10 days away)
But everyone is always asking me when I'm having number two.
Doing my best not to lie and just come up with a vague truth, but it's driving me crazy I just want to fast forward a month or so.

anybody got any tips on not sending myself crazy?

Congrats Hayleyandbaby & londonirish

professorplum · 07/09/2007 19:56

AF came tues 4 days late. Think +ve must have been conception but it didn't implant. I'm going to wait and try again for autumn 2008. Will have huge gap between dc2 and dc3 now

walkingwomb · 07/09/2007 20:39

professorplum I am really sorry don't fret too much about the gap - I come from a family of massive gaps and we are all really close.

Good luck with TTC for Autumn 2008

IndigoBlue · 07/09/2007 23:00

Really sorry to hear that professorplum. It must be so disappointing for you after getting a positive test. Wishing you good luck for the future.

Emmsy · 08/09/2007 08:02

Professor plum I am so sorry that AF came, don't worry about age gaps I am also from a big family with very big age gaps, we are all very close! Good luck for the future with your TTC.
Goodcatholicgirl, yeah I think I need to stay in my comfort zone for the time being! I am very hormonal at the moment, I keep wanting to cry, and most of the time it's for no reason! I have still got sore boobs but no sign of any morning sickness!
Aquababe, I know how your feeling, that's why I had to tell my mum & a close friend I just couldn't help myself! I am trying to keep away from others because I know I will only end up telling them. My mum will tell a lot of people (even though I asked her not to!) Mum is worse than me, she can't hold her own water!
welcome to Londonirish, hope I haven't missed anyone else out, I must go now, every one have a nice weekend!

londonirish · 08/09/2007 13:32

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for the welcomes! Getting annoyed too about not telling people. Was home with my parents and family last week and they kept teasing us...especially as my sister is pg with her second (she's 6 yrs younger than me!). I think my Dad is convinced that we can't conceive...I'm one of nine (good catholic family!!) so its unusual to be 30 and have no kids!
Going to doctor on mon..what should I expect?!

goodcatholicgirl · 08/09/2007 14:03

Hi all,
Also dying to tell people. We went for pub lunch at work yesterday as one of girls leaving, and someone asked me how dd was, so I said "fine, lovely thanks" and she then said, in front of whole table of 9 people "are you trying for anymore??"

CAN YOU BELIEVE PEOPLE CAN BE SO RUDE???!!!! I even made a point at work (after I had MC and eventually then got pg with dd so felt ok to tell people about MC ) of saying in staff room loudly one day that you should never ask people if they are 'trying', even if they already have one child, as you never know what people are going through, and they all nodded in agreement. I was so cross. Just said we weren't trying at the moment, which isn't a lie, cos we don't have to try cos there is already one in there hopefully growing big and strong!!!

Emmsy- my boobs are fuller but not really sore. Def feeling bit of mild nausea yesterday and today though, which is the same stage it started with dd.

Talking of which, I must go and wake her, she has been asleep for 1.5 hrs after swimming this am!!!!

Happy thoughts to you all xxxxx

macaco · 08/09/2007 20:01

Hello everyone and congrats to all those with bfps. I've been away lately as I've been back at work and battling monster nausea and a bit of puking. Don't worry if you don't get morning sickness first timers....praise the lord instead. I'm getting used to it now (started at 6 weeks...now 8 weeks), what I'm finding almost more difficult is the tiredness. I'm knackered!
I'm in Spain so have only seen doctor so far. My EDD I worked out myself as 26th April but not seeing mw til 18th sept and then gynae after that for a scan sometime before 12 weeks. Before i came to Spain I was a kent girl too!

IndigoBlue · 09/09/2007 09:39

Hi

Hope everyone is doing ok, I've been feeling a bit sick the last few mornings. With dd i only felt sick in the evenings and never the morning. Currently trying to pack up our whole house which is last thing I feel like doing as we are moving on friday and after what happened with dh I am taking on more of the work as don't think he should be overdoing it.

goodcatholicgirl - people have been asking me since dd was 9 months old if we are planning another one, I find it annoying too as they won't just accept yes as an answer they want to know what age gap you're aiming for, if you're trying yet etc!!

londonirish - I don't think too much will happen at the docs, they will prob work out your due date and tell you to book appt to see the midwife in few weeks. They will probably pass your details into the hospital system so that your scan gets booked etc.

well back to the packing!

Hayleyandbaby · 09/09/2007 10:47

Jacobandlysette- I don't have any DCs but I do have a DP.
Mollymawk- we've got the same due date!!! How exciting! Guess I'm not on my own after all!!

My first antenatal appt is Wednesday and I am DESPERATE to get my scan booked. Does any1 know if you can book it for like week 7 or 8 instead of 10 because my doctor said week 7 because I've had pains but since then my other doctor found that I had a very severe water infection and kidney infection which was giving me the pains so i'm guessin I'm back to ten weeks?
xx

goodcatholicgirl · 09/09/2007 15:27

Hi all,

Being a good catholic girl I went to church this morning and said a prayer that all our little ones continue to thrive and grow into wondeful little healthy foetuses!!! (and eventually babies!)

Hope you are all enjoying the weekend.

hunnychild · 09/09/2007 18:20

Hi ladies, can I join?

Found out friday I am pg with dc2. LMP was 11 August so EDD is 18th May. Got pg first time ttc!

Already have dd who is 3.2 and will make a fab big sister.

Congrats to everyone on thier bfp's

goodcatholicgirl · 09/09/2007 21:26

welcome hunnychild, and well done on you for being so damn fertile !!!

bramblina · 09/09/2007 23:14

Hello everyone, congrats to the newbies and so sorry pp. Have a nice, relaxing break.

Have got slight nasea, complete exhaustion (weel not really but has come on me quite quick!), and have told everyone !!! Dh's head was about to explode so we told my Mum and Auntie on Fri, then he told his brother, I got a bit then thought oh sod it! So now it's common knowledge and oh god how are the next 34 weeks going to drag...!

Mw phoned on Fri, I have appt for 26th. That's 2 weeks away! How boring!

Emmsy · 10/09/2007 00:52

hi girls,
My temp dropped this morning, and I started to spot at about 7.00pm I have tried to stop it by lying down (it seems to do the trick for a while) but every time I get up it starts again, like a dripping tap!
So it looks as though I will be leaving your thread very soon. I am feeling upset and angry. It's been lovely talking to you all and I wish you all a very healthy and happy pregnancy. I will update you before I leave the thread. Take care!

mumtomadison · 10/09/2007 08:01

Hey Emmsy, Try to keep your chin up and don't think the worst. It could be anything.
Thinking of you and will keep fingers x'd for you anyway.
Take it easy.

blobsmummy · 10/09/2007 12:14

Hi all - I'm here to join the group.

Found out yesterday that I'm 6 week pg - nearly fell off the loo in shock! Have been trying for a year but didn't think it would happen without assistance (as went on Clomid to get DD). Feel sick, very very scared of mc, wanting to tell people, conflicting emotions etc....Goodness, didn't expect to feel like this when it's not my first! Still, glad there's a group of us to support each other through the turbulent time of pregnancy!

Vital stats:
Married, Live in Kent (there seems to be quite a few of us!), have gorgeous DD aged 15 months (born last June), age 27.
