Very very early but we have the all important BFP.

Anyone out there to join me?

Hope you enjoyed your lie-in mrsstresshead!

Had an appt with the midwife today - baby is fine, it's just bits of me that are starting to play up! It was lovely to hear the heartbeat. When i did the wee test, it turned out that i;ve gots loads of protein in it. I normally have trace amounts when I'm pregnant, but this is the first time it's rocketed. Got sent up to the hospital this morning to hand in a sample and should get the results on Friday. MW thinks that I've either got the start of a urine infection (joy), my kidneys are leaking (deep joy) or a very long shot is that it's an early sign of pre-eclampsia (joy beyond compare).

I feel fine though! I'm pretty chilled about it (it's not like I can change the situation by worrying) and am expecting it to be just a blip and for it to come down again in a couple of days. Can't believe how unstressed I am with this pregnancy compared to the last one!

On a plus note (as long as the protein thing is a blip) I've been given a small thumbs up for a home birth which has got me quite excited

Hi Missvicki - welcome!
Sweetbean - you have the best reason in the world to be grouchy, so let it all out!

Right, this thread is getting rather unwieldy, so I've started us off on a new one called Due May 2008 - Second trimester, here we come. Just click on the link below:

Hi I'm due on May 23rd and am getting very excited - great to have this board. Are any of you May ladies living in the Kingston/Surbiton area? x
