Hi - my EDD is 4th May.

It could get confusing as I have a very similar nickname to bobsmum...!

jacobandlysette · 10/09/2007 17:01

I'm away for a few days and we're multiplying like rabbits!!!

PP firstly, I'm so so so so sorry for you. It must be so difficult and I'm not even sure if I'm too late with this message. Look forward to seeing you in Ante natal threads in the autumn, chin up girl xxx

Emmsy - keep those legs crossed lady. I had spotting on and off for about 2 weeks, and it went when i had my legs up and then came back when moving around again. Fingers crossed for you that beanie stays all ok.

hi hunnychild, blobsmummy, starlightmcKenzie and anyone else new I have missed

londonirish - don't expect much from doc's appointment - he probably won't even work out your dates if mine is anything to go by! Mine just said "have you done a test"? well then, where do you want to have the baby. And wrote my referral letter.

Whoever it was who wanted the scan at 7 weeks - if yo uare at all unsure of your LMP dates you will be given a scan for dating, so they can then get your fetal health scans and bloods done at the right time (if you choose to have them for downs etc). Can you be sure that it was the water infection that was causing all the pain? Better to be safe on your sanity than sorry imho and if you are less likely to worry or wonder having seen a scan then that is as good a reason as any for having one.

Off for my first ante natal appointment tomorrow morning at the hospital, as had dire pre-eclampsia with DS. Will tell you all how it goes!

Hi blobsmummy I might have to change my name soon anyway - there's a bobbysmummy too! I used to be mcmudda for a while but changed back to bobsmum - so fickle

Anyway, I'm feeling really grotty and nauseous and tend to have a window of opportunity to eat in the morning. By 4pm ish I'm starving but can't face food.

First antenatal appt next week. Had to hand in my little pot of wee to the surgery. It's all coming back to me now - endless peeing into pots - argh!!

My nearest hospital is just over an hour's drive away, so here's hoping that when the time comes dh can just put his foot down!

My 2 previous labours have been loooooooong though, so I think I should be ok

Hello newbies and thinking of you emmsy

aquababe · 10/09/2007 17:19

sorry to hear about spotting hope it isn't what your dreading

congrats hunny child starlight & blobsmummy

jacob & lynsette hope all goes well at your first antenatal clinic.
I'm a bit miffed that I have to wait till i'm 8 weeks as I want them to officially work out scan date. Just want to get it done sooner rather than later so that I can get those extra days on.

Am I the only one trying to cheat with my dates?

if you want your scan done early then I think all you have to is ask and insist.

Hi chaps, hope we're all ok??
Fingers crossed for you emmsy xx

Went and had a scan this morning, could see the little heart fluttering and everything, all is in the right place and lovely, so hooray!!

Then went and had a huge fry up at a cafe, hehehe

Bit of a relief after all the tummy aches, and it turns out I'm 6+4, due on May 1st.... then dropped scan details into the surgery and they booked me an appt to see m/wife on wednesday, am gobsmacked by the efficiency of it all :O)

So told my grandparents, they are OVER the moon, just got to tell my mama when she gets back from holiday, SO excited cos I think everyone thought we'd never manage it!!

So love to all of you and your babies and have a good night's sleep everyone

Hi all,
Just signing in to report that I am delighted to be feeling intermittently nauseaous, have tender boobage, and OHMYGOD I am sooooo tired!! Keep popping upstairs for a 'litte lie down' and waking up 1.5 hrs later!!! Exactly how I was with DD. Feel reassured that hormones are doing their thing. Still petrified of mc, esp after hearing poor Emmsy has been bleeding , we are due the same day, so it's hitting home a bit. {{{{Hugs}}}} Emmsy, thinking of you.

bobsmum · 10/09/2007 20:47

lo at "little lie down" I had one of those today while dd was sleeping - absoultely out for the count. It's like being 19 and having glanular fever all over again! weirdy tiredness!

Congrats greenapple

mollymawk · 10/09/2007 21:20

Hayleyandbaby - same EDD, let's have a race! Actually I bet you will win as both my DSs have been late by over a week.
Excellent, StarlightMcKenzie, for organising us all into order. Are you a Scout leader?
Thinking of you, Emmsy, and hope all is well.
My only symptom so far is what my pregnancy book calls "utter fatigue". So I will follow its advice and go to bed.

JackBlackRoady · 10/09/2007 22:23

hello, i am new to mumsnet and this is my first post! I think i am due in may, LMP was end july, had my docs appmt today and you are all spot on, he didn't do much
although he did say congratulations - the first person, besides hubby, who knows
Anyway, I will let you know my proper due date when i see the midwife / have a scan next week. I already have a 12 year old son. I'm not sure I will be able to read every thing you all post on here but i am so happy to read it! i'm feeling pretty tired too, damn work!!!

mumtomadison · 11/09/2007 08:13

Got my booking in appointment on the 26th with the mw (the same one i had with my DD and she was pants)+ i am starting to feel a little bloated/chubby.
Other than that no symptoms just knackered.
Hope everything is ok with Emmsy - thinking of you.
Welcome and Congratulations to JackBlackRoady, Hunnychild, Blobsmummy, and StarlightmcKenzie and any other newbies, i'm excited for everyone.
My Baby Beans first heartbeat yesterday apparently, i just can't wait to see him/her on my first scan. If you go to pregnancy.about.com/cs/pregnancycalendar/l/blpregcalc.htm and put in your LMP it gives you all of your dates e.g Quickening, Viability, Due date, heartbeat etc..

Hope all of you other Mums to be are feeing good today.

Woollymummy · 11/09/2007 08:32

Hello, can I join in too? I took a home pregnancy test after 2 days of sore boobs and metallic mouth....I kind-of knew anyway. I think I must be only a week PG, have only told DP so far. My DD is nearly 15 months old, still BF so can't remember when last period was, prob July or something....a little one. I feel a bit amazed by it all, very exciting....

jennyjane · 11/09/2007 10:23

Things been a bit hectic here, just a quick message for the stats table. My EDD is currently 2nd May - and have 1 Daughter, who was 3 last week! Hope all going well with everyone - hope to be able to contribute properly in a couple of weeks when things calm down a bit

Emmsy · 11/09/2007 15:07

Hi girl's,
I am affraid that I won't be joining your race to the finishing line after all!
I had my scan this morning and was told I have had a "complete" miscarriage. There pregnancy test still showed up positive, but they said that was to be expected!
I will try to get pregnant again, and I will pop in one day (in the near future,I hope!)and let you know.
It's been lovely talking to you all, I wish you all healthy and happy pregnancys with big bundles of joy at the end!
Take care, lots of love to you allXXXXXXXXXX
P.S I,m going to get drunk tonight!!!!!!!!

aquababe · 11/09/2007 15:19

Oh Emmsy I'm so sorry to hear that.
Good luck with getting pregnant again.
Here's to getting very drunk tonight

mumtomadison · 11/09/2007 15:27

goodcatholicgirl · 11/09/2007 15:43

I posted on other thread too, but just in case you didn't see it {{{{{hugs}}}}}}

JackBlackRoady · 11/09/2007 18:27

Emmsy I feel for you, I know exactly what it's like, but you'll catch again. Thinking of you

mumofk · 11/09/2007 20:13

Hugs Emmsy
Hope you enjoy the booze- you deserve it!!! and awful as it all is, I'm glad you don't need any more messing about and can start again when you're ready.
StarlightMcKenzie- I'm one of those scannery type people you either love or hate, that 's how I've been able to peek. And, i'd get in serious trouble if I got caught, let alone offer out to others, sorry
On a plus though, I haven't got caught yet and now know I'm 7 weeks today! So my EDD is 29 April, but if Potpourri can hang around I hope I can too! DD was nice and late, so Very Sure it will be May
The absolute exhaustion has hit me today- so its time for bed- its almost half past eight!
Take care all- Good luck

IndigoBlue · 11/09/2007 20:27

Emmsy that is sad news, thinking of you and hope you get pregnant again soon. x

I am also feeling tired now, with nausea for most of the morning. I'm trying to pack boxes all day at the moment but it takes twice as long with dd unpacking them as I go and grabbing things she shouldn't be!

Think I'm going to wait til we've moved house before I go to the doctors. I'm still only around 5 and a half weeks so will probably wait til I'm 7 or 8 weeks.

Hi to all the new people who've joined since I last posted and congratulations!

Chuffed · 12/09/2007 08:57

Hi ladies, I think I will be due in May too.

This is number 3 for us, dd is 3.5 and ds is 21mths. This one was well planned and it took two lots of fertility treatment.

I am in NZ but found mumsnet when living in London when pregnant with dd and just can't leave .

The good thing about having treatment is the monitoring etc, I have had 3 blood tests so far to make sure the hormones are increasing at the correct rates, and have an 8wk scan booked in 2 weeks. So excited although not sure how we will fit 3 into our little house.

I look forward to getting to know you ladies better over the coming months.
