divamumplusbump · 22/08/2007 18:44

Hi again everyone. Sorry for the quickie post earlier PILS was around so rushed lil.
Yes i agree, im loving all the lovely names here. We liked Aaron, Cameron, and Connor.
Cant get over the labour being so quick though. This morning before 5 i woke up with sharp contraction pains. Found www.contractionmaster.com and timed my contractions. It became every 3mins lasting 1.5min and then i thought it was time to go hospital. Walking to the ward at 7.55, urged to push staright away, he was born in 25mins. Always told second one is quick but not expected. MW joked 3rd one will be a lot quicker Good luck to everyone. Sending all baby vibes out.

itchyncsratchy · 22/08/2007 19:11

oh hersetta, I'm sorry if I've missed you but must reassure you that planned c-section is actually quite fantastic! very civilised and painfree. The trick is to request the most painkillers before attempting to get out of bed 2nd day and just relax and enjoy your baby. Just plan to do little as possible but mooch about the house a bit for the week after. And yes very very big knickers are best!

lizziemun · 22/08/2007 19:12

katybird

I'm fine apart from being fed up now.

I just keep having a few hours of irregular pain then they stop.

itchyncsratchy · 22/08/2007 19:21

what's happened to kiteflying and babylovesmuffins? and any news on TT?

katybird · 22/08/2007 19:48

Sounds like things are slowly happening for you lizziemun, hopefully you'll be done in the next few days. I'm getting lots od Braxton Hicks and occasional period pain but not had a show or anything yet.

Kiteflying doesn't have access to the web at home I think, but she was at yoga on Sunday and doing ok except SPD-type pain in her hips. TT had a boy on Sunday (birth post from twelveyeargap further down this thread) so the thread's been quiet!

itchyncsratchy · 22/08/2007 21:24

sorry didn't say before thanks lizziemun for redirecting me to new thread.. and good luck I hope lo appears very soon

itchyncsratchy · 22/08/2007 21:24

and added some photos

pinkrangerstartstowaddle · 22/08/2007 21:34

Just wanted to sent a huge congratulations to DIVA and her new baby boy Now get that new bugaboo out girl and get shopping . Good luck to everyone else! I was 'due in August' in 2001 - it feels a life time ago! Enjoy these days!

Ceolas · 23/08/2007 08:57

Congratulations on the recent births!

My due date tomorrow. Sounds silly but I really want baby to come today. It's my 4th and the first 3 were born Mon-Wed in order! No way I'm waiting til next Thursday

pinkrangerstartstowaddle · 23/08/2007 09:05

Good morning all!
Well, still here and now officially over my dates !! Had a backache/stomach last night but dont think it will add up to anything!
Feel a little bit deflated as they tell you a date and that date come and goes with NO baby!!

Also getting really fed up with people ringing me, had 3 phone calls already this morning , my sister seems to be the worse ( she has 2 children but seems to think that shes a midwife at times!) _ has just rang to ask if anything has happened! and then informs me that she has read that the 2nd sweep works and it wont be long - snapped a little bit and told her that i have had enough of people asking and no one has bloody crystal ball - everyone is just driving me mad now!

Pengy · 23/08/2007 11:11

Morning everyone! Things are getting really quiet here. My due date is tomorrow and I liked Hersetta's analogy of telling LO it was time to move house so doing the same! Still nothing happening though Did feel non-specifically weird yesterday but wondering if I'm starting to read too much in to every little thing...

Itchy your LO looks gorgeous, very Any decision on her name yet?

Glad things sound a bit more favourable for you Pink, think I'll get my midwife to check the state of play so to speak when I see her on Saturday...

Amester · 23/08/2007 11:31

Congratulations to divamumplusbump and itchyncsratchy! Everytime I look on the thread there is another baby - can't be many of us left now! Has everyone just had their baby's really early this August, or are there just not many people due at the end of the month?

Pink - it sounds like things are happening for you - must be really frustrating getting all the phone calls. I just don't answer the phone anymore and i'm not even due until the 25th!

I thought something might be happening last night as I had period type pains on off from about 10pm but then this morning everything seems to have stopped - was probably not even baby related and was just something I ate! Going to go for a curry tonight so maybe that will get things started!

lizziemun · 23/08/2007 11:43

I glad i'm not the only one who is fed up with people ringing, my due date is not until next thursday. Although dd did come at 39 weeks.

Amester · 23/08/2007 12:07

Have you had anymore pains or signs lizziemun? I remember seeing the other day that you were having some twinges?

divamum2two · 23/08/2007 12:09

Hi all,
How is everyone? Pinkranger,Amester, Pengy hope it will happen to to you soon.Lizzie my dd was 10 days early and i expected to have baby early, but it seems never the same.
You girls have my sympathy. I went only 3 days over due and i was fed up people raising their eyebrows when see me out. Whole place including local Tesco`s and bank etc.. "Are you still with us?"
Itchy, congratulations, i was too excited myself didnt congratulate you yestreday
Thanks Deige for popping in, and congratulating.
I have just added photo in my profule, but for some reason cant alter my basic details, as it shows i only have dd.
By the way, i changed my talk name

lizziemun · 23/08/2007 12:38

Yes but nothing to get my hopes up .

I was thinking this morning it funny how when you go to the loo you check for blood the first weeks hoping there is none, then they spend the last few weeks hoping there is so you know you are at the beggining of the end .

DH has taken to telling LO to get a move on as he want's it done by monday. As the person he works with is holiday next week, and they want to prove to their manager that he need to get more people in. As in the last year the team he works in has gone from being 5 people to 2.

lovelybird · 23/08/2007 13:23

Hi All,

Will have to read through the thread to catch up on the news later, but wanted to post our news.
Thomas William was born on Friday 17th at 8.24am weighing 7lb 12oz. Had a rough time, but am OK. Thomas is beautiful, and we're all over the moon.
Looking forward to reading up about the rest of the august ladies.

loler · 23/08/2007 14:21

Congratulations Lovelybird. Hope you are on the mend now so that you can get out and enjoy your DS!

I'm getting loads of really strong BH. Not sure if this means anything! I agree about the knicker watching - getting to be a bit of an obsession!

OP posts:
Hopeitwontbebig · 23/08/2007 14:54

just having a nose loler to see how you're getting on.... keep in touch won't you!! I want to know how much that 'LO' of yours weighs x x

boobooma · 23/08/2007 15:03

Hi ladies, joining you on the knicker watching front, started wearing white only so that its easier to see whats going on, or not in my case.

Went to ladies swimming session this morning and a few raised eyebrows that I was there again with mega bump. Curry last night v good but no action. Pineapple for tea.

CONGRATULATIONS diva and itchy, love the photos itchy, there's one proud dad.

loler · 23/08/2007 15:11

Hello - HIWBB thought you were coming on to say that yours had come early! My current worry is about names - just can't chose! Will be worrying about how big it is and how to get it out on Monday night (being induced on Tuesday!)

OP posts:
Hopeitwontbebig · 23/08/2007 15:26

Good luckety luckety luck!!

growingbagpuss · 24/08/2007 08:40

Pink - how'd the sweep go? hoping no news is good news. xx

Ceolas · 24/08/2007 09:40

Due date today

Feeling a bit better than I did yesterday though. Soooo tired, I was frightened I'd go into labour and have no energy!

Going out for coffee with my mum and sister as I can't face sitting about the house waiting to explode.
