Hello Everyone!

I am due my second baby on 27th June 2020. I thought I would start a separate thread for those due at the end of the month as I don't know about you but I feel a bit left behind in the June thread Grin. Maybe we can have people from 20th June to 4th July in here? Then we will all be super close!

Maybe we can comment with a bit of info so I'll start:

Due date: 27th June
Baby: #2
TTC cycle: 6
Symptoms: nausea when hungry and hot flushes

@Millettmum last week it was worse, I could barely got up from bed, walk, changing clothes were very painful.

This week it is more manageble. I bought a belt for support, stopped going out for my short walks. I'll monitor to see how it goes.

Goodgoodthings · 06/04/2020 11:18

@Millettmum I’m the same on the working from home front, not an exciting life at the moment! Deliveries have been keeping me busy with the whole family bored at home ordering baby bits as well.

Think the hypnobirthing course is £39 for about 6 hours of content and they do have deals sometimes - I signed up a few weeks ago and it was down to £12! Well worth the money wither way in my opinion especially if you’re feeling anxious. They have a lot of free bits on Instagram and YouTube too. @bikbikmum I’m thinking of doing the postpartum pack as well as this is my first baby and I feel a little clueless!

Millettmum · 06/04/2020 11:30

@Goodgoodthings
I might have a look then. I'm sat at home alone until my husband comes back from work, only the dog for company.

@Bikbikmum
Where did you get your belt from?

mrssunshinexxx · 06/04/2020 12:14

@Millettmum I just started yoga yesterday I just typed in pregnancy yoga for beginners it was good I felt very relaxed that combined with my hypnobirthing should hopefully get me on the right path x

Bikbikmum · 06/04/2020 14:13

@Millettmum I really wanted to buy a BabyGo but they can not dispatch until the end of April. Lots of alternatives at amazon, again Amazon is not dispatching until 27th Apr.

My husband managed to find one from PhysioRoom-> Procare Maternity Belt

Fingers crossed, should arrive today.

Millettmum · 06/04/2020 16:59

@mrssunshinexxx
My husbands aunt is an instructor abroad so she gave me lesson on FaceTime today.

@Bikbikmum
Let me know how the belt is.
P. S. I ordered some 'non essential' items from amazon saying delivery end of the month but surprisingly came today.

Bikbikmum · 07/04/2020 11:25

@Millettmum thank you for the amazon tip, it was super helpful :) I had cancelled my order from physio room and ordered babygo from amazon. Yes they deliver on this sunday! Will let you know oncw I start using.

Millettmum · 07/04/2020 12:35

@Bikbikmum
Great news! Yes let me know x

Millettmum · 07/04/2020 18:58

I had my growth scan this afternoon, all is fine but they confirmed that I will be induced 38/39 weeks because of the gestational diabetes. Really didn't want to be induced again.

RenegadeMrs · 07/04/2020 19:13

Hello, is it too late to join? I was wondering which thread to join as I'm due 1st July.

Age: 36
Baby #2
IVF baby
Currently 27 +6

Just got booked in for ELCS this morning for due date, due to previous section (unless baby comes on their own earlier than that), which slightly astonished me, as I was expecting to be told all ELCS cancelled.

Millettmum · 09/04/2020 07:42

@RenegadeMrs
Welcome!
In my area home births are still going ahead so I think it's just a case of seeing what happens.

em90792 · 09/04/2020 17:51

Hi Ladies,
Only just found the birth groups page! I'm due 10th but will be approx a week early 3rd July due to C-Section. Not been given my date yet, last time the hospital didn't give me a date till days before but it will be around a week early.
How is everyone feeling about baby arrivals with all this going on?
I'm feeling a little anxious that this may still be the same when the time comes and really hoping my partner can be with me. I know at present they are allowed to stay for the birth then a couple hours after delivery at my chosen hospital - but slightly worried this will change!
Hope your all keeping safe!

Bikbikmum · 10/04/2020 14:45

Welcome everyone!

@Millettmum my belt had arrived . Not sure whether it will help to ease the pain but so far I am very happy with the quality of material. It comes in a nice box and they supply a booklet with exercises suitable for 1-2-3 trimester. Belt itself has 3 parts.It shows you how you should use each part according to your trimester and complaints. Best thing is it can be also used as postpartum binding.

Bikbikmum · 10/04/2020 14:47

If you are still doing baby shopping, I have just shopped from Tommee Tippee. They are running spring promo Until 13th Apr, it is 20% off on everthing. Code: SPRING20

Millettmum · 10/04/2020 22:56

@Bikbikmum
I might get one, does it fit ok then?

Millettmum · 10/04/2020 22:57

@em90792
Just keep positive for now and we'll see how things go nearer to the time

Bikbikmum · 11/04/2020 09:58

@Millettmum you can measure your pelvis and back before you buy. At amazon it provides a chart which was very helpful. Yes It fits well.

Bikbikmum · 13/04/2020 17:34

Tomorrow is my birthday. With recent corona lockdown, I really feel blue and depressed now. What happens if I drink 1-2 bottles of alcohol free beer or cider so that we can have some fun withy hubby? Even if it says alcohol free, I think most contain up to 0.05% alcohol. Will it be OK , what do you think?

Goodgoodthings · 13/04/2020 20:43

Happy Birthday for tomorrow @Bikbikmum ! I’m sorry it’s not the birthday you probably envisaged, especially with feeling so down - I’m sending you a big hug. Just got to focus on loving these growing babes and getting through as best we can 💜 we’re all in the same boat.

On the alcohol free drinks topic, I had a look last week online and felt happy to have a couple myself. It boosted my spirits a bit to have a “beer” in the sunshine! I hope that you feel a bit brighter tomorrow x

Bikbikmum · 14/04/2020 07:51

@Goodgoodthings thank you so much 🙏🏻😇🌈 looking at tiny baby clothes change my mood nowadays.. You are right, we are all in this together, and good to remind myself that I am not alone..

I hope to try out a beer myself too :) then

Millettmum · 14/04/2020 08:09

Happy birthday @Bikbikmum !
I too have bought some non alcoholic cider as I craved a 'drink' so much this weekend but was unable to get out and buy some.

Goodgoodthings · 14/04/2020 09:28

@Bikbikmum You’re welcome lovely! I think everyone is having down days at the moment - I know I am. Just important that we look out for each other and for ourselves! Also noticed that Next is back online today and has heaps of sweet baby clothes to browse through in those crappy moments. Hope you enjoy your day SmileFlowers

LassoOfTruth · 14/04/2020 14:41

Happy Birthday @Bikbikmum! I would wholeheartedly recommend you treat yourself to some non-alcoholic beer in the sunshine! My husband is a brewer and has reassured me - the manufacturer will have to say there is some alcohol trace, but >0.05% is basically nothing. If you also like gin, then Sipsmith non-alcoholic version is pretty good! Don't forget the cake, you are eating for two remember Grin
Welcome @RenegadeMrs and @em90792!
I feel like I'm really lurching between down and up days at the moment. Looking at tiny baby clothes certainly helps but I really need to send DH up to the loft to investigate what we already have before I start going crazy with the online shopping.
A couple of people have mentioned the online hypnobirthing course to me @Goodgoodthings so I might check it out. I kind of eschew anything which tries to convince women to give birth without drugs (dear god get all the drugs they offer!) but their positive-thinking/anxiety-reducing exercises in tandem with a more usual/medical approach might make sense for me.

Bikbikmum · 15/04/2020 17:49

@LassoOfTruth @Goodgoodthings @Millettmum thank you so much ladies! 🙏🏻😇 cider was sooo good! Couldnt say whether it was alcohol free or not. ❤️💋

Today I had seen my midwife, all seems fine at the moment...

When (by which week) do you plan to prepare everything? Bed, nursery,washing clothes and hospital bag... We finally (!) completed the shopping list (apart from mama essentials) . What about w32? Too early? Too late?
