Hello Everyone!

I am due my second baby on 27th June 2020. I thought I would start a separate thread for those due at the end of the month as I don't know about you but I feel a bit left behind in the June thread Grin. Maybe we can have people from 20th June to 4th July in here? Then we will all be super close!

Maybe we can comment with a bit of info so I'll start:

Due date: 27th June
Baby: #2
TTC cycle: 6
Symptoms: nausea when hungry and hot flushes

@LassoOfTruth 🙏🏻🌸🌈 deep breaths!!! will help.

I wrote to radiology to see whether any antenatal scans are cancelled in our trust.

This is what they said : At present we are still going ahead with pregnancy scans.

Fingers crossed.

When my 3d/4d hd scan cancelled from a private clinic, yes I had booked one for fun and thats cancelled too, they told me that they are not allowed to run 3d but they can still scan 2d. So keep in mind, in the worst case scenerio, private clinics should still be able to offer 2d scans. I hope none of us would need that.

Millettmum · 30/03/2020 21:27

My growth scan will still be going ahead as I'll be in clinic straight after as well

Bikbikmum · 31/03/2020 21:15

I was told by midwife today: as of today, birth partners are allowed during birth but they have to leave after birth regardless of being at consultant led unit or midwife led unit. They need to come back later when you check out. They won't allow them to stay after birth :(

Millettmum · 01/04/2020 08:44

You are in recovery first before you go to the ward though aren't you? I've just read in another thread that they're discharging mums quicker.

Bikbikmum · 01/04/2020 12:37

Just received this SMS, partners also are not allowed to accompany for scans anymore.

"To help prevent the spread of infection and protect our patients, were really sorry that we are not currently allowing visitors in our hospitals. This has been a difficult decision to make but we no longer feel we can prevent the risk of spreading the infection if we continue to allow visitors to our hospitals. Only one birthing partner can come to labour ward or the birth centre for the birth of the baby. They must remain with the woman in labour until after the birth. Partners cannot accompany the woman for any antenatal appointments or Ultrasound scans or visit the antenatal/postnatal ward "

Millettmum · 01/04/2020 13:07

Yes it's been like that for a few days now

Piecrust32 · 02/04/2020 19:17

Millettmum · 02/04/2020 22:05

@Piecrust32
I'm so sorry to hear this, how truly awful for you. Was it reduced movement that prompted you to book a scan? Thanks

mrssunshinexxx · 03/04/2020 06:55

@Piecrust32 I am devastated for you, I so hope you have a loving husband to look after you at this awful time.
Sending love and strength x

Goodgoodthings · 03/04/2020 09:06

@Piecrust32 I’m so terribly sorry to hear this. It’s difficult to convey in a mumsnet post to a stranger but I’m sending love your way. I hope you have loved ones around you to lean on x

Piecrust32 · 03/04/2020 09:42

Thank you every one ❤ really comforting for your words

Bikbikmum · 03/04/2020 10:33

@Piecrust32 I am so so sorry 🙏🏻 😞 Sending you lots of hugs 🌸

Bikbikmum · 05/04/2020 12:18

My 28 week scan has been cancelled. They have just called me. They think it is safer not to come. 😞 I hope you are all OK

Millettmum · 05/04/2020 13:24

@Bikbikmum
What was your 28 week scan for? X

Bikbikmum · 05/04/2020 14:10

My midwife referred me to an ultrasound for 28-32-36 weeks scan to check baby's growth. @Millettmum

Millettmum · 05/04/2020 20:28

@Bikbikmum
Was they worried for any reason?
Mine still seems to be going ahead on Tuesday not heard anything x

Bikbikmum · 06/04/2020 09:16

@Millettmum they said scans were precautionary so not an emergency. I was told that as of this week, it is not safe to visit the hospital and it is better to stay indoors unless it is absolutely neccessary. I hope they did the right call. I have midwife app next week hopefully there wont be any cancellations on that one. It is in birth centre not in hospital. Everyday my phone rings and I got a cancellation, very frustrating. But perhaps it is better for everyone.

Millettmum · 06/04/2020 10:07

@Bikbikmum
That might be the difference then, I'm not with a birth centre

Goodgoodthings · 06/04/2020 10:12

@Bikbikmum do you mind me asking where about you’re based? This makes me so nervous - I’m in Birmingham and have my 28 weeks appt today at the GP and then a GTT booked on Friday at the hospital as a precaution because my Dad has developed diabetes later in life. I hate the idea of sitting in the hospital needlessly for a long time while all of this is going on...

Hope everyone is feeling good today. What have you been doing to keep your spirits up? I need some inspiration Grin I’ve been doing the online hypnobirthing course from positive birth company and that has helped me so much. X

Millettmum · 06/04/2020 10:20

@Goodgoodthings
Working from home so nothing exciting Confused

Millettmum · 06/04/2020 10:21

How much was the course? @Goodgoodthings
I've actually just had a live yoga session from the Middle East!

Bikbikmum · 06/04/2020 10:43

@Goodgoodthings I am in Potters Bar (Hertfordshire) and my scans are often performed at Chase Farm
hospital which is local. My main hospital is Barnet Hospital. I am currently registered with Edgware Birth Centre. 🙈 too complicated.

They told me that I am not allowed to give birth at birth centre anymore, they shut it down so it will be in Barnet Hospital.

I have also downloaded Positive Birth Covid-19 rescue pack from Positive Birth Movement (Milli Hill) Not started yet.

Currently my husband and I are watching the Postpartum Pack from the Positive Birth Company. I love it. Since I am first time mum, it is very helpful.

Bikbikmum · 06/04/2020 10:46

For keeping spirits up I am doing baby shopping 😂😂😂 dedided not to wait until the very last minute due to stock issues and lead times of couriers.

Newborn and 0-3 sizes are often out of stock!!

Eating lots of chocolate nowadays, can't exercise much due to Pelvic Girdle Pain :( I hope I don't gain too much weight.

Once/twice a week, I have yoga now our classes are available from zoom.

@Millettmum @Goodgoodthings

Millettmum · 06/04/2020 10:53

@Bikbikmum
That's why I wanted to do yoga because of my pelvic pain, night time is the worst trying to roll over.

When I wasn't working and caring for my daughter before she passed I got loads of shopping done then so only buying little bits now as majority is done.
