Hello Everyone!

I am due my second baby on 27th June 2020. I thought I would start a separate thread for those due at the end of the month as I don't know about you but I feel a bit left behind in the June thread Grin. Maybe we can have people from 20th June to 4th July in here? Then we will all be super close!

Maybe we can comment with a bit of info so I'll start:

Due date: 27th June
Baby: #2
TTC cycle: 6
Symptoms: nausea when hungry and hot flushes

Thank you guys.

I'm on my second pregnancy (actually nearly 14 years apart) but I've lucky as I have a low anterior placenta and have been feeling kicks for a couple of weeks now with recent ones quite strong. I am 20 weeks today.

MRSRCH · 13/02/2020 11:33

Had my scan today and everything is all great apart from baby kept making a shadow over the heart so we couldn't see it properly and baby was being shy so couldn't see what little squidge was which I'm absolutely gutted about! My husbands suggesting booking a private scan for tomorrow, would it be safe to do so?

Bikbikmum · 13/02/2020 20:10

Our baby girl today (20+3) 😍🙏🏻 all seems fine. 🧿

Congratulations to you both, beautiful girls x

Anyone else nearly passed out whilst in the shower recently? Just had that experience. I don't have hot showers like my husband.

Also has anyone looked into hypnobirthing and had any luck finding a class? When do you normally start these classes in pregnancy?

mrssunshinexxx · 17/02/2020 12:57

@Millettmum no that's abit scary can you have a sit down shower ?
I have private hypnobirthing booked to start at Easter really excited x

Millettmum · 17/02/2020 13:12

@mrssunshinexxx

Unfortunately my shower is too small. How did you book it?

mrssunshinexxx · 17/02/2020 14:32

Just googled hypnobirthing near me and contacted a couple women x @Millettmum

MRSRCH · 17/02/2020 18:36

@Millettmum I felt like this in my last pregnancy, I didn't think i had it hot but midwife suggested u turned the hot down and have the temperature enough that it wasn't too cold and it helped. Think it's to do with the heat of the water and making blood rush round quicker

Millettmum · 17/02/2020 21:18

@MRSRCH
I will try that

Millettmum · 19/02/2020 21:13

We're having a girl as well!

Placenta has moved up already so all good and baby is also looking good.

Cooler showers have also helped x

Yay @Millettmum that's wonderful.
Good to hear cooler showers have helped. Im normally fine with fairly hot water but at the moment can not tolerate it at all, feels like my skin is going to fall off with even the slightest bit of heat lol

I'm 22 weeks on Monday and only put 5lb should I be worried? The baby's fine she's kicking me all over I'm just more worried because Iv been reading how much you should be gaining at this point x

mrssunshinexxx · 22/02/2020 13:26

@bubblesqueek how much should we of gained?

bubblesqueek · 22/02/2020 13:44

1.5lb a month first three month then 1lb a week second trimester

mrssunshinexxx · 22/02/2020 14:42

@bubblesqueek surely it depends on what you weigh before and BMI etc , That is just a guideline
If you feel healthy and can feel baby moving I don't think you have anything to worry about. I'm determined not to weigh myself at all when my midwife weighs me I look at the ceiling and tell her I don't want to know Grin (I'm not over or underweight I just think knowing would stress me out )

bubblesqueek · 22/02/2020 15:08

I went from 16 stone to 11 so it's hard watching the scales go up but I couldn't care less really as long as baby is healthy. I'm 5"10 and 'normal' bmi.. I havnt been weighed yet this pregnancy only asked what my weigh was when I fell pregnant x

Millettmum · 22/02/2020 15:12

My BMI was just over threshold of 30 so automatically have to have the tests next month. I did lose weight at the start of the pregnancy but from my initial weight I've put on around 8 lbs. I have eaten rubbish the last two weeks to be honest and I need get on top of that. I'm currently 21 weeks.

mrssunshinexxx · 22/02/2020 15:31

@bubblesqueek wow that's really impressive well done!
I got weighed at booking app at 10 weeks and getting weighed at my next app when I'll be 25 weeks x

Bikbikmum · 22/02/2020 18:52

Hi ladies, hope you and your babies are all fine... I need advice for baby shopping please. What type of clothing will baby need in British summer? Do you go with long sleeve+ long legs or + feet covered all in ones in the beginning, long sleeve no legs, short sleeve no legs, short sleeve short legs, no sleeve no legs 🤯 do I need cardigans outside? I am so confused. I imagine I would need couple of newborn sizes and more of 0-3 m ? Thank you xxx

mrssunshinexxx · 22/02/2020 20:16

@Bikbikmum I'm getting a few thin all in ones in upto a month size but mostly rompers (short arms and legs) and just vests but our house particularly upstairs gets v warm we have a fan too.
If baby comes when it's British summer time ( pretty hot) I will be putting her to sleep in just a nappy and getting large thin Muslins to swaddle

Once she's here and I'm feeling more normal I will either go to shop to pick up some more clothes for next size or just order online so hard to know when we don't know what size they will be

Hope this helps x

Piecrust32 · 24/02/2020 13:50
