x posted mrsfish

Your hubby is being unfair, he should not be planning anything, because if this LO arrives on time you'll want him at home, if LO is late you'll need him on standby! Im for you.

As for your mum, thats the sort of thing my mum would do. Tread carefully, you'll need her for babysitting some day I cant rememeber, is she your back up for other children?? If she is in anyway part of the birthing plan, they she is being unfair. If she isnt theres not a lot you can do.
My mum is meant to be looking after my DD when LO makes her way out, but knowing her she'll be off on holiday

Hugs for you.

L

x posted with you too inzi
Im glad to hear things are looking good for your Lo and all is ok. I know you'll still worry though, but try and rest. woo hoo sounds like a good news day for most of us

HonorMatopoeia · 10/09/2007 16:52

Am I sad to be so pleased people like my title?! I'll start a new thread after this post and that way everyone has plenty of time to find it and add it to their watch list before this one closes!

MrsFish - you are definitely not being unreasonable! I'm on your behalf. I don't think people realise how much you worry near to your due date. My Dh (normally fantastic) actually said to the consultant today, after she'd booked me in for c-section on the 17th, 'Ah good, it's a wednesday, so I can go to fencing on Tuesday night' Bloomin' plonker!

HonorMatopoeia · 10/09/2007 16:53

Oh and Inzi, glad things are settling slightly.

Right, off to start new thread......

MrsFish · 10/09/2007 16:57

Hi Lisa - to be fair my mum did ask if the babysitter was going to be around first, as she would have been my back-up if the bs had gone away the due week. But then she said that if I was on time or late and she had put off the holiday, then she would have missed out for no reason I just feel like no-one else cares about this baby, its as if the novelty has worn off since I had ds.

Oh god, I am a moaning moo today

Collywobbles · 10/09/2007 17:17

Wow - that'll teach me not to log on for a couple of days! There's SO MUCH to catch up on!!

I totally understand all of you who are fed up with the whole pregnancy thing now - I definitely am! I want to be able to move at a normal speed and get up from the sofa without takeing a minute to prepare for it! That being said, I go on maternity leave at the end of the week and I definitely want a bit of time before LO shows....

lisad123 · 10/09/2007 17:20

mrsfish, honestly i know what you mean. My mum wasnt around when my sister went inot labour early, so i was her 2nd birthing partner, she didnt even come back from holiday even though my sisters LO was born at 31 weeks!
When i had to go in last week my mum was on holiday again and my poor sister who is also preggy was worrying about how to come and get dd if she needed. My mum has been banned from all holidays till Lo's are here wonder if she'll listen.

Hugs

HonorMatopoeia · 10/09/2007 17:25

Ok ladies, new thread is out there but has possibly already fallen off of active convos!

alicet · 10/09/2007 18:12

Muppet ? great news that you can plan for Henry?s arrival a little more ? think that will make a lot of difference to how you feel about it all?

Inzi ? glad rash has gone and more importantly that all seems well with your lo.

Winnie ? great news placenta has moved!

HMP ? OMG at big baby! At least it made the decision easier for you though?. Love the new thread title too!

MrsFish ? understand totally your frustration at everyone wanting to do stuff when your lo is due. Esp your dh! If mine suggested such a thing I would lose it completely!!! I had a similar thing a couple of months back before deciding on elective section ? dh, mum and my sis were all asking about planning stuff and I ended up being ?well I?m NOT choosing a section to make it easier for you to plan stuff ? sorry if that?s selfish but I HAVEN?T decided yet ? will let you know when I do!!!!!?

OK will post this here then look for new thread ? and post again there if its already active!!!

Hi all,

Had a good afternoon with Ollie and he seems to be wanting me again now dh has gone back to work after his week off. (Yippee!) He told me I was his best friend and sometimes that is all you need to forget all the aches and pains atm...

We played football outside -he ran, I waddled, then I met up with a neighbour and we sat outside whilst hers and mine and another neighbours girls all played. It was sunny, I had a cup of tea and a comfy chair. I am such a fishwife!!

alicet · 10/09/2007 20:23

Hi All,
Hope you're all ok.
I just wanted to let you know that last night my waters broke 3 weeks early and this morning Chelsea Alana was born at 6.51am. She weighed 6lb 15ozs.
I wasn't due til 2nd oct so came as a shock but a lovely one.
Good luck to you all on your imminent arrivals, not long now.
Love
Sarah x
