morning all!

j20 so much happened around the time of the accident 12 years ago,we were on our way back from living in germany when we crashed,i was 13 weeks pg and refused to go to the hospital as there was no one to look after the kids (the police was talking to dh to be and he was in shock).so i didnt go.got married 3 weeks later and went to teh hospital as i started bleeding.the said tehy couldnt x ray because of the risk to baby, but i was supposed to go back after i had her.a week later i was back in hospital again bleeding, and dh came to tell me he was leaving me!so we split up,i moved back to hull ( we had moved to sleaford) had dd2,had court case going on with ds1's dad,and tehn moved to wales!(where me and dh got back together and re-married and had more babies!!)

so you see i just never got round to it,and then i got to the point of thinking it was probably too late to go moaning to the hospital about it!!ive had bad back pains since then, but usually just took painkillers, but tehn everything started up when i was having dd in 2004 when i got the spd on top of back pain!

im one of those people that dont like bothering people (even though its their job to be bothered by moaning minnies like me!!!)i dont even liek goig to the gp's!!

ejt will try the hot water bottle.exercises are horrendous!!!dh is heavy handed,so im struggling to walk after hes done his bit.physio also told me to stand with my back against the door and lean into it....well.....i feel like ive got a lump sticking out in my back and it kills when i do it!!so cant win!!

by the way, dont know why the email bounced, not havong trouble recieving any.if it keeps happening do you want to text me my buddys details?

j20 hope your feeling better, laminate is so dangerous you know...i slipped on ours the other night after ds1 had spilled juice all over and didnt even think to mop it up!luckily i grabbed the door to stop me going down on my bum,but it didnt help my back!you take it easy, hope you house is nearly finished and then you can relax!!

hi to everyone else, hope eveeryones ok!!

FloriaTosca · 16/08/2007 09:34

Dal;Shop..shop..!.. shop!!!!! Oh and have fun! Dh won't let me out alone shopping because though we both work on a "saftey net" system of a certain amount in the account being zero in our eyes, his idea of a saftey net and mine have several zeros disparity! Enjoy your first day of maternity leave.

J20 hope you are feeling better now...get down to the hospital if not.

Winnie; enjoy your mn meetup, fingers crossed the filthy looking clouds round here are nowhere near you.

Well apparently I dropped my credit card wallet in the hospital car park yesterday ...I hadnt even missed it!..so I've got to go back in and pick it up....I might pop into the Trafford Centre and look for some extra wide shoes while I'm at it...anyone else getting swollen feet already? I'll be back in touch this afternoon to let you know if my craving for Magnum Equador Darks is still allowed or not

FloriaTosca · 16/08/2007 09:42

Buffy what a traumatic time you had 12 yrs ago!!!..But glad you and Dh got back together and from the looks of things made a sucess of it. Sorry the excersises aren't helping yet...give them time..at least you know something will be done about your back fairly soon.

Right I'm off for real this time...see y'all later.

dal21 · 16/08/2007 09:45

OOps J20 - pregnancy brain! I know someone somewhere is near northcote road aka nappy valley. If it is this thread, then do let me know if the baby shops are worth a little trip across london.

FT - lol at the shopping! I will defo indulge in plenty, am sitting here with my feet up at the mo. Too much like hard work to have shower and get dressed. ha ha!

Buffy - my head is spinning with your story!

Kittiwake · 16/08/2007 10:39

Morning everyone

Haven't posted on here for a million years but have just read through the thread and glad to see everyone is doing okay. Glad you feeling better J20 sounds like you have been renovating your entire house!

Only 2 weeks left at work now sooooo loooking forward to finishing. Have started antenatal classes and been buying all bits and pieces for the bubs.

Really getting excited now, guess as a first timer that I have that complete ignorance of what it will really be like to give birth and have an actual baby might as well enjoy the anticipation this time though!

FloriaTosca · 16/08/2007 10:46

Lisa; just read misdee and peters fantastic news...so thrilled for them! I dropped a line saying so and wishing Peter a swift recovery but wanted to say the same to you...for the whole family. I hope they get a fantastic holiday together when Peter is ready for it....still wiping tears away at the Fergal Sharkey "good heart" number... and thanking God for the generosity of the donors family....wonderful wonderful news!

muppetgirl · 16/08/2007 12:03

Mumpbump · 16/08/2007 12:26

Just popping in to say hi so I can find this thread again. Back from a few days off - not terribly restful with dh's 40th in the middle and then shopping at Bluewater on Monday to sort out my sister's wedding list... Will try to plough through the thread and post properly later.

Hope everyone is well, especially J2O who I can see has had some sort of accident... Hope you're putting your feet up!!

buffythenappyslayer21 · 16/08/2007 15:17

j20 im in north wales now.only lived in sleaford for a couple of weeks after we got married, really liked it but after dh left me i went back to hull because my mum and rest of my family were there.will definately go for treatment when ive popped this one out!dh told the physio he'll drag me to the hospital by my hair if needs be!!!

floria we had a few ups and down at the beginning when we first got back together, mainly because i felt i couldnt trust him to stick around, but he has.i think it'll always be at the back of my mind though, when pg hormones kicked in this time i asked him if he would leave me after he was in a mood one day!!daft or what!!!but no,were happy, and hes told me he regrets us splitting up all those years ago.he missed out on dd2 being born and all the first baby thinsg she did.tehn when we got back together and i got pg with ds2,he cleared off for a year!but he came back and i gave him his last chance.7 years on weve had dd3 and now got this one on the way!i put the whole thing down to being too young when we first got married (we were both 20),and me already having two kids when we first got together so he was suddenly made part of a family.and because weve been married twice,i got to wear two wedding dresses (both my mum made which werent as glam as i wanted but never mind!!) and two big parties!!!

as for the back exercises,im sticking with them, despite being in agony most of teh time!!

dal...sorry to amke your head spin!!

MrsFish · 16/08/2007 15:54

J20 - SIT DOWN and put your feet up.

Les - no wonder those size 18's were too big, you don't look a half as big as to need that size

Lisa - What fantastic news about misdee and Peter

Winniethepooh - hello buddy

I have just got back from hairdressers, feel so much better now. Had my hair dyed dark brown and cut to shoulder length, it looks so much better. Just sitting down now for a rest and eaten two egg custard tarts my excuse is that there is iron in the eggs

Hi all,
anyone else sleeping really badly?
I'm very tired but just can't get comfoy, then when I do fall asleep I wake up - need to pee?
Am also feeling very itchy (mostly legs) which worried me a bit as there is a rare condition associated with itchiness isn't there?
Anyway have antenatal tomorrow - will mention it.
Think this (number 3) pregnancy is taking its toll more coz I'm older (and fatter!)

Hope everyone else is coping...

muppetgirl · 16/08/2007 18:10

Hi all,

J20 - PLease rest...I don't know where you are finging this energy but can I have some, maybe you won't feel the need to be sooooo determined

Les -Glad you got some bargins, I love charity shops and really like a good rumage around them when I can. Isn't it amazing what people throw away??

Buffy -I think it's great you've managed to make a fresh start I can imagine it was hard -especially from your point of view -but it seems to have paid off

Well, we got the brakes fixed on the car and it cost £600 as they needed new discs as well as brake pads. Hmmm, bang goes doing Oliver's room for a while!
I also got a demand letter from a debt collector today from British gas (we don't get our gas from them???) for £613!!!!!!

It turns out it's from a house we lived in 4 years ago and have moved twice since then and paid all of the bills before we closed the British Gas account. We've lived in our house for 18 months now and then we get this letter? I am going to pop in to the cab as we can't prove whether we've paid this bill or dispute readings as it was so long ago. We didn't receive a bill, red bill nasty letter, final demand etc just this debt collectors letter. They (British Gas) are going to ring us back as they couldn't sort it out over the phone (yeah right will they )

Just need to sort out spare room for IL's coming to stay this weekend -tomorrow at around 1.30- I am so not looking forward to it but at least DH has agreed that staying in all day on Sat is a dumb idea breaing in mind Ollie will go slowly potty. We're going to go swimming as we usually do and if they don' want to come than that's up to them.

I may be on mnet a lot over the weekend...

Inzi...lucky you, you sleep better than i have for weeks. I eventually get to sleep about 1am to wake at 3.30 exactly for a wee, then at 4.30 for a drink, then am awake at 5 until 6, then fall asleep for half an hour until 6.30 when I am wide awake and running for the toilet before i have an accident.....lol. Then i try to sleep again and may sometimes doze for 20 minutes before i am needing food, drink, n a wee lol.

Muppet; at British Gas..we have been having a problem with them too..we moved here in Nov took over the gas and elec which were with BG, tried set up direct debits for both but only got charged for the gas not the elec....we phoned every fortnight to get them to bill us and set up the payment and then two weeks ago we get a final demand (the day before they actually take the money..but when we phone they say dont worry) followed by a threat to cut us off (after they had got the money...phone call says dont worry)and then the threat of bailiffs..(phone call says its the arrears we are after but we can add them to the direct debit so dont worry)and today a letter telling us they have charged us £14 for the letter and are taking court action against us..but when we phone yet again they say "dont worry, it is all included in your direct debit".....how do you believe them They are utterly incompetant and you have all my sympathy in trying to deal with them.

Buffy; what a rollercoaster of a life! Glad all seems well now but totally understand your occasional doubts as I'm sure your DH does... how wonderful of you to forgive and try again I don't know if I would have had the generosity and courage but am really glad that you are both happy now ...oh if you didnt get ejts message you got me for your buddy...I'll forward the details if you want Buddy!

Well my news for the day..apart from the fact that the pram finally turned up today...complete with half chewed biscuit and other crumbs, stains and dirt is that my GTT came back with a result of 10.4..not horrendous but not great either...I have to talk to the diabetic nurse tomorrow to find out how it is going to be managed...no doubt I'll be banned from from my Magnums!...no fair!
