A shiny new thread for our May mum's.

A big thank you to @Shak19 for setting up the original thread, you started this group and we are all so grateful for that.

Here we go, month three in the pregnancy journey 👣

Hey ladies.

I had my booking in appointment yesterday - by dates EDD is May 16th.

Next midwife app is 5th December and she said we'd listen to babies heartbeat.

Excitedly awaiting our dating scan letter.

Sickness is horrific by comparison to my last pregnancy 🤢

sazzlerazzle · 04/10/2019 11:51

@Wishful30 and @mrsf1204 Wonderful news!! So happy for you both xxx

facevalue · 04/10/2019 12:05

@mrsf1204 fantastic - can't see a picture x

Sunshine8888 · 04/10/2019 12:21

@mrsf1204 I’m so so pleased for you 😊 congrats!! You must be so happy and relieved!! You are from Bath too right??

@jeffsar4 I think I will book in for the harmony test if all is looking good at my scan next Thursday x

Not great news my end. Gestational sac and yolk visable and growing but no embryo even though I should be 7 weeks.

Clairesoph · 04/10/2019 12:55

I think I will also have the harmony test done, in my last pregnancy I had high risk for Down Syndrome and the Harmony test wasnt on the NHS it wouldve cost almost £500 to have. I ended up going through an amniocentesis which was bloody awful and I wouldnt wish it on anyone. Results were clear and no horrid side affects came from it thankfully but I dont fancy it again

It’s £400 here but I think it’s worth saving for and I think you can opt out of the gender part @jeffsar4

@Hollyjeanh I’m so sorry to hear this x

november90 · 04/10/2019 14:07

Oh @Hollyjeanh I'm so sorry to hear this :( I hope you don't mind me asking.. but what does that mean? Fo your need to have a repeat scan?
Sending lots of love xxx

Mystie · 04/10/2019 14:14

Thank you for all your positive thoughts. Unfortunately it is sad news for me, my HCG levels have dropped which along with the bleeding will almost certainly mean this little bean wasn't meant to be. We will find out for certain tomorrow but that will only be a formality.

I feel devastated, numb, useless, empty and so very sad but I am grateful to have three healthy children and a loving and supportive partner and I'm sure our time will come again.

Thanks for all your kindness and support, I will be thinking of you all next May and wish you all happy and healthy pregnancies xxx

Lifesforlivingandloving · 04/10/2019 14:20

@Mystie

I'm so sorry to hear this 😞
Wishing you well and every luck in the future 💗 x look after yourself x

Hollyjeanh · 04/10/2019 14:31

Thankyou guys!

@november90 I have to go back for a repeat scan next Friday to hopefully see something. The yolk sac had grown significantly but that could also happen with a blighted ovum! I’m just thinking the worst if I’m honest!

@Mystie I’m so sorry Sad sending you so much love!

Wishful30 · 04/10/2019 15:03

Ohhhh @Mystie I am so sorry to that. Sending you love and hugs.
Glad to hear you have supportive people around you. Look after yourself xxx

Wishful30 · 04/10/2019 15:06

@Hollyjeanh how worrying for you. Sending best wishes and keeping pinkies 🤞🏻 for the next scan x

CharlieB93 · 04/10/2019 15:07

@Mystie I'm so sorry, I'm also sorry you've had a bad time with your GP's relaying information to you. Be kind to yourself and take care x sending massive hugs xxx

Helensss · 04/10/2019 15:23

@Mystie sorry to heat that 🙁❤️ Take some time and I’m pleased you have some good support and as you say I really believe your time will come again. Lots of love xx

Helensss · 04/10/2019 15:24

@hollyjeanh I don’t think that’s necessarily negative! Do you know how many weeks for
Ovulation you are? Wishing you lots of luck xx

Hollyjeanh · 04/10/2019 15:27

@Helensss im always irregular so it’s really hard to know how long my cycle is and when I ovulate! I don’t know what to think as this is my first!

Clairesoph · 04/10/2019 15:31

@Mystie so sorry to hear that lovely, make time for yourself to heal. Your time will come again, some things are just not meant to be. You sound like you have a good support network around you, take care 💞

mrsf1204 · 04/10/2019 15:40

@Mystie and @Hollyjeanh I'm so sorry to you both 😢 I was hoping for good news for everyone and all my thoughts are with you both.

@Sunshine8888 yes just outside bath so I've been at the RUH today.

Sunshine8888 · 04/10/2019 15:46

So sorry @Mystie, look after yourself 💕

@mrsf1204 ahh yes the good old RUH, where I was born and hopefully where my little baby will be born next May ☺️

@Sunshine8888 I was also born there! I am hoping that our little one will be in our local midwife run unit but all depends on how it all goes xx
