A shiny new thread for our May mum's.

A big thank you to @Shak19 for setting up the original thread, you started this group and we are all so grateful for that.

@Mystie @Hollyjeanh oh no. i was hoping for some better news. i'm so sorry ladies so stressful but glad you both have loving partners and hopefully your next scans might show some miracles 😢 virtual hugs coming your way

november90 · 04/10/2019 16:50

@Mystie I'm so so sorry to hear this. I'm thinking of you and hoping you're ok ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Mystie · 04/10/2019 16:53

Thanks everyone, large glass of red wine small consolation but helping to numb the pain xxx

Doodlebug321 · 04/10/2019 17:22

@Mystie I'm so, so sorry 😔

@Hollyjeanh really hope you're just earlier than you think and next scan shows a happy little embryo.

Doodlebug321 · 04/10/2019 17:30

Anyone else feel they're on a huge rollercoaster? Some days I feel positive. Other days, like today, I'm absolutely convinced it will be bad news at first scan, if I even get that far! I had said no to an early scan, now I wonder if that was a stupid decision. Although there are no reassurance scans here, no matter the circumstances, so not sure how it would have been handled anyway.

Might book in to see GP next week; I have a lot of pre-existing mental health issues which I'm on meds for. The meds were changed when I found out I was pregnant. Wondering if that's part of the anxiety. I'm just so very scared. Scared of miscarrying again. Scared of a MMC/BO on first scan. Scared of a late miscarriage or still birth. Scared there's nothing there at all & it's all in my head! Driving myself mad 😔 Guess I just feel this can't possibly happen because it hasn't before.

Sorry. Not in a good place today.

Hollyjeanh · 04/10/2019 17:56

@Doodlebug321 thankyou I really hope so!
What medication did you get swapped from and to? If you don’t mind me asking. Im in the same boat with my mental health. Really not wanting to go to work next week I don’t think I’ll cope with the not knowing x

facevalue · 04/10/2019 18:12

@Doodlebug321 oh babe. you are not alone. mental health anxiety and depression are so so common and most ppl just don't say it. i'm so anxious and always expecting the worst and i get myself so worked up. i've started attending counselling ( sadly nhs counselling is crap/ long waiting but worth it) now that u r pregnant it's slightly less waiting so please ask your GP/ midwife to refer you and be kind to you. lots of hugs.. always write how u r feeling on here and there might be an anxiety support group xxx no one will judge you

Doodlebug321 · 04/10/2019 18:25

@Hollyjeanh I just had to come off some of my meds and be on basic meds because the others aren't 'safe' in pregnancy, or don't have enough research into safety. I'm so sorry you're struggling so much. Were they able to do bloods to see what's happening with your betas?

@facevalue thank you. I actually have a psychiatrist so am being "looked after" but it's still tough. Thank you for your kind words. Sometimes it's nice not to be told to just get over it. Only hubby, MIL, two friends of ours and my boss knows & I'm not wanting to tell anyone else yet. I think a few people are starting to wonder in work because of the nausea / running to the toilets and the fact I most definitely don't have a pregnancy glow! And am suddenly in baggy clothes (thank you bloating 🤣)

I have a horrible burning sensation back again on the right side of my groin. It does come and go. Wondering perhaps if it might be related to the bloating & joyous bouts of constipation 🤣

I am struggling with feeling queasy & not wanting to eat, but not eating leads me to dry heave. Cold wet fruit (oranges, melon etc.) are really good.

GinUnicorn · 04/10/2019 18:29

@Mystie I am so sorry.

Hollyjeanh · 04/10/2019 18:42

@Doodlebug321i haven’t had bloods done yet I’m hoping to go see the dr on Monday to maybe get signed off for the week because it’s too hard to care for people when you need to care for yourself! I need to get my medication sorted too!

mrsf1204 · 04/10/2019 19:24

@Doodlebug321 I am completely the same as you lovely. It's such a rollercoaster especially when you already suffer with anxiety (I do too). This forum has been so helpful to me with all my questions and fears and I hope it is to you too, we are all here to listen whenever you need to ask / vent / panic / query xx

Wishful30 · 04/10/2019 19:32

Just got home from work after a mental day!
My sweet and sour chicken I was gonna have us eat by 1st 🤦🏻‍♀️ so I can't eat that.
My dh brought home pub grub last night. Some kinda chicken pie for us to try. Looks lovely but I don't know if had already been reheated, so I can't have that.
I quite fancy a runny egg sandwich.. but no 🤷🏻‍♀️
I'm huuuunnngggryyy. Think I'm gonna have to order a pizza. With cheese, cos most meat toppings are processed right? Or am I just being over cautious now? 😂

sazzlerazzle · 04/10/2019 19:42

@Wishful30 waaaay too cautious!! 😆 Go and get yourself something good that you really want to eat, you deserve it! That runny egg sandwich is fine as long as the eggs have the lion code 😊

sazzlerazzle · 04/10/2019 19:44

Sorry it has been a tough day got some, for various reasons 😔 x

sazzlerazzle · 04/10/2019 19:44

*for

Wishful30 · 04/10/2019 19:47

@sazzlerazzle Lool I thought so... but I'm not prepared to wait 65-80mins for my takeaway!!
This is what happens when you move from London to the north 🙄
So I've raised the freezer. Mini pizza, sausage rolls, onion rings and garlic bread 😂

Bumpingalong84 · 04/10/2019 19:49

Hi ladies. Thanks for the new thread.

@Wishful30 so pleased for your good news and hopefully they will organise a scan for you and you will see little one with a heartbeat.

@mrsf1204 ahhh I’m so so pleased your scan is all good. How many weeks are you measuring? Was so pleased to see that Smile

@Mystie I’m so so sorry. Believe me I have been there and it’s rotten, all I wanted to do was have a glass of vino or three, it does get better tho I promise.

I’m sure there is loads of stuff I’ve missed as it moves so fast.

God the pregnancy bloat is bloody awful isn’t it! I look like I’m 4-5months gone by evening already! I have this feeling I’m gonna be showing super early 🙈 I’m a 10 and panicking that my uniform is gonna give it away! My tummy muscles are not strong and technically this is my 3rd pregnancy, my mmc in May I had a tiny bump by 12 weeks as my gestational sac kept growing! So I wonder if I’ll pop even sooner this time 😬

sazzlerazzle · 04/10/2019 19:52

@Wishful30 oh that sounds bloody delicious, I’m not even joking! 😆 We’ve had chippy for dinner tonight... if there’s one thing I have not suffered with during my pregnancy it’s lack of appetite. I. Cannot. Stop. Eating. 😳

Wishful30 · 04/10/2019 19:56

@sazzlerazzle I'm
Definitely more hungry, but have noticed I get fuller quicker, so I think it's maybe just that I can't stuff as much in all at once 😂
I decided to enjoy my food whilst I can incase the 🤢 gets me 😬

Doodlebug321 · 04/10/2019 20:10

I get the eating thing. I need to eat or I'll be dry retching. But then I eat & I dry retch 🤣 Generally ok first thing, but afternoons and evenings are my nemesis. Like I said above, cold & wet fruits seem to go down well, as does apple juice or orange juice. And icy coldlemonade. Warm food...not so much. Tried eating a burger earlier and felt awful after. Definitely edging towards things like wholegrain rolls with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, avocado. Freezing cold cheapy tomato pasta (all vingegary) is also a winner. Beans/hoops are a spew fest. Hot food in general isn't well tolerated.

Hormones are such strange things!! Isn't it weird how they affect us all in different ways too?? Huge sob fest over absolutely nothing here just now. It's like that toddler phase where they have a meltdown because the sandwich is cut wrong pr because it can't be daylight at 11pm, or that they can't have a job and a house of their own 🤣 Maybe our meltdowns over nothing in pregnancy are simply preparation for the toddler stage 🤣

mrsf1204 · 04/10/2019 20:32

@Bumpingalong84 thank you lovely, your story gave me hope and I leaned on that this morning. I was honestly expecting the worse but I kept thinking of your story and kept my fingers crossed and thank goodness today was finally a good day after weeks of heartache and turmoil.

I'm measuring bang on 7+2 which is exactly what I thought, which puts conception right at the very very end of my cycle! So weird. But I was having irregular periods ranging from 28 -34 days after coming off the pill. Just goes to shows you can focus on ovulation as much as you like (which I wasn't totally hung up on but my husband picked up I was pushing for it around that time haha!!) but at the end of the day you never really know. The body is funny isn't it...

Bumpingalong84 · 04/10/2019 20:54

Aww @mrsf1204 you’ll make me bloody emotional 😂 with all our hormones and all that 🙈 I’m so bloody pleased for you. Fingers crossed it’s plain sailing for us know 🤞🏻 No more dramas please darling babies ❤️

Wishful30 · 05/10/2019 09:12

6weeks today and my cheeky little bean is like 'what do you mean you've had no morning sickness?' 🤢
Managed to not throw up, but amazing how a little cough can make you wana Chuck 😂

helpasisterout · 05/10/2019 10:01

@Wishful30 I get what you are saying 1000% about the coughing! I am normally a get up and go 6am kinda person but as 10am approaches the only place I've been is for a dry heave over the toilet an ice lolly for breakfast and back to bed I just feel awful and just 7 weeks today!

Had booking appointment yesterday which was fine the midwife was lovely!

Glad that these groups exist because otherwise this would be so lonely as only me and my partner know and can't have a moan about it to a friend or anything!

Helensss · 05/10/2019 10:07

@Wishful30 yeah I’m feeling pretty horrendous today! Nearly passed out earlier felt so dizzy! For me this is the worse I’ve felt and I’m just over 9 weeks, very reassuring but tough XX
