A shiny new thread for our May mum's.

A big thank you to @Shak19 for setting up the original thread, you started this group and we are all so grateful for that.

Here we go, month three in the pregnancy journey 👣

facevalue · 16/10/2019 13:47

@helensss 9+4. next scan 1nov

Raindancer411 · 16/10/2019 14:11

Well I had my first meeting with the midwife and all very different from my last time (different area). I am going to be consultant lead as am classes as high risk 😫 (apparently only as I lost more than a litre of blood through a tear on my first pregnancy).

Sunshine8888 · 16/10/2019 15:27

Hello everyone, well I went for my Harmony test today and turns out my baby has had a grow spurt in the last week and I’m now measuring 11+6! I’m absolutely delighted 😀

Here is baby dancing away, little leg in the air. It’s all starting to feel real now! I should get the harmony results next week 🤞🏻🤞🏻 all is ok x

Helensss · 16/10/2019 15:38

@sunshine8888 that’s amazing news 😍

@jeffsar4 harmony test is a lot more accurate than the nhs screening and I’m someone who likes to have as much info as possible, also find the private scans etc much more pleasant experience than nhs who seem understaffed and overworked

kstann · 16/10/2019 16:54

@Sunshine8888 gorgeous pic!

I wish I had gone for the panorama test which could have been done from 10 weeks as I too am a worrier and would like more accuracy than the NHS.
My 12 week scan is Monday so seems silly for me to do it now- I think I'm going to
Wait and see how that goes and go from there x

Hello all, I have been away from this group for the past two weeks because I was very anxious about my upcoming ultrasound (my first ultrasound showed a gestational sac, yolk sac but they couldn't see the baby with certainty). I had my ultrasound yesterday and was very happy to immediately see the baby who has a very healthy and strong heartbeat and was moving around. They have given me a May 23rd due date (but will confirm the due date on Monday when I have another appointment). I am very happy and so relieved.

Helensss · 16/10/2019 19:03

@rosewater20 that’s amazing news so pleased xx

CharlieB93 · 16/10/2019 19:33

Ladies
Way TMI but I’m freaking out... I swear my cervix is sooo much lower than it normally is (non pregnancy) I’m sure it’s supposed to be super high 🤔

CharlieB93 · 16/10/2019 20:01

Is this a sign of a impending miscarriage?

facevalue · 16/10/2019 20:02

@Sunshine8888 that's beautiful x lovely update

@rosewater20 awww that such great news i'm glad now u r back and feel like you join us again. 🤞🏼

@charlieB93 that is freaky if it's true. how did u feel it? were u on the toilet or standing or in bed? i think maybe it's the position or something! i'm sure i felt something similar when i pregnant before but my baby was bigger at that stage so i thought its normal! ask your midwife or GP i know you can have a prolapse or sometimes big veins that can feel like a lump x sorry i don't know what else it could be x

CharlieB93 · 16/10/2019 20:12

@facevalue I was in the shower so standing 😥 still feels weird lay down, feels like a tube 🤢

Bumpingalong84 · 16/10/2019 20:26

@rosewater20 that’s such lovely news, by my scan a few weeks back I was dated the 24th May so very near you. I’m 8+3 today. I have a scan on the 29th starting to feeling anxious about that now but I should be over 10 weeks by then.

@ CharlieB93 what made you check? I’m too paranoid I’m gonna cause trauma then bleed and freak out. How many weeks are you? I’m sure it’s completely fine

CharlieB93 · 16/10/2019 21:05

@bumpingalong84 it just felt a bit strange so I thought I’d see what was going on. I’m 10 weeks so I have no idea what’s going on ☹️

flossy12 · 17/10/2019 03:27

10 weeks exactly today and my nausea is the worst it has been throughout the whole first trimester 😩😩 haven't been able to keep anything down at all

zoemelb · 17/10/2019 04:19

I'm 10+5 and my boobs stop being sore or tender. My symptoms have been very mild the past 5 days. I'm super worried. Sad scan isnt for another 13 days.

Purple29 · 17/10/2019 05:19

Hi, I'm now 8+6, so due 22nd May, this is my first baby and we haven't told anyone yet. We have an early scan on 28th to tell family the weekend after (we stay a distance from family)

I feel so anxious, symptoms seem to come and go, except the fatigue and sore boobs that are constant. I'm just so worried and want to see everything is ok. Did anyone else feel this anxiety? We tried for 2 years and nothing happened, then this came as a surprise!! Dont think it helps that my work can be stressful and I feel I have no one to talk too!!

This wait till the first scan is dragging. Hope everyone is well!!

firsttimer1980 · 17/10/2019 07:39

@Purple29 I've been the same through this first trimester. Fatigue and sore boobs have been my top symptom, with only nausea which comes and goes. So sounds like you're totally normal. I have my first scan yesterday and found out I'm 11+3, so a little behind where we originally thought. I was so nervous about the scan. I suddenly realised the only pregnancy test I done was the one I'd bought, so I started worrying that there wasn't a baby in there! Ha! All worries disappeared when baby came up on screen.
The hardest bit of this is not having someone beside you going through the same thing as you and not being able to tell everyone what's going on!, but that's why this forum is so good to have. I've had to just tell some people, couldn't keep it in any longer!

@zoemelb I’m a bit like that, I felt so rough all last week and weekend and seem to be ok this week. My friend is a few weeks ahead of me and she had painful cramps then all loss of symptoms, went for her scan and all is fine and she’s now 15 weeks so I think of that when I worry xxx

facevalue · 17/10/2019 07:49

@firsttimer1980 congratulations that's so lovely to see. did you decide about the other tests? i was told i would do the tests on the same day as the 12 week scan.

@Purple29 congratulations xxx nice to have ppl to chat with.

Purple29 · 17/10/2019 07:53

@firsttimer1980 thanks so much for the reply, you've put my mind at rest a bit. Dont think it helps the DH is military and he deployed shortly after we found out so I'm home myself with too much time to think!! Thankfully hes home in time for the scan. Your scan pic is lovely and clear.

Sure all will be fine, roll on a week on monday when we get to see out little one then, and yeah that is the only test I've done is the one I bought, still feels a little like I'm dreaming!! 😊
