@Wishful30 I am so so sorry to hear this 😢 xxx

helpasisterout · 14/10/2019 18:24

@Wishful30 tuck yourself up cosy with favourite snacks and juice with a film or something if you can. I only took 3 days off when I had an mc in July and I kicked myself as I just needed more time to process it so take time when you need it. Remember It's a huge loss no matter what stage you are at and don't let anyone tell you otherwise xxx

Ohh @Wishful30 I’m so sorry 😢 Flowers

facevalue · 14/10/2019 20:25

@helpasisterout it's a DEFINITE NO NO - i had a body massage not thinking it's anything to worry about cod early days honestly didn't even tell the lady it was booked weeks ago. i miscarried 3 days later - that was may and when i mentioned it later doctors and friends were really surprised and the impression i got is that I FUCKED UP. in reality a strong pregnancy can probably survive but there's evidence it can induce the uterus to contract and miscarry

please avoid

@Wishful30 devastating news. i'm so sorry xxx hugs

@november90 it's my very good day hardly any symptoms - i'm 9+2 and i did think maybe something is wrong but truth is it's probably just a good day. no pain no bleeding so i'm just going to accept it's just a good day x

@Shelbustotherescue beautiful picture xxx

mrsf1204 · 14/10/2019 20:35

@helpasisterout we have a hot tub at home and my friends love going In if we go in it together whenever they come over! So last weekend I just said I was on my period and they got in and I just sat up on the side! Can you get away with just saying that and being in your gown? As you can't go in steam rooms or saunas either so it would cover all excuses?

@Wishful30 I'm so so sorry I'm thinking of you 💞 take care of yourself and rest up, sending so much love xxx

helpasisterout · 14/10/2019 21:14

@facevalue thanks so much for your experience I have changed it to a facial to be safe as I couldn't live with myself if I thought I had been irresponsible even if it wasn't the cause.

@mrsf1204 that's a good idea I'll just say I am on my period but sit with feet in etc. Will only have 1.5hrs in spa area so fingers crossed will be able to conceal it.

Got to make a commute this week with work that includes a ferry though.. dear god 🤮🤢 here we go

november90 · 15/10/2019 00:55

@facevalue @woollycat aww I'm glad you're both feeling better and deep down I think we all know that we shouldn't worry, I think when it's so early and it's still a secret you just need the reassurance don't you! I've read online loads of people's symptoms change around this time so hopefully we're the lucky ones 💗

ChloeCA · 15/10/2019 06:00

Hi I’m new to the thread at 8 weeks. I’m desperate to relieve morning sickness. Luckily I don’t vomit, but I feel like my stomach is in my chest and my throat feels full. Has it gotten better for anyone?

Sunshine8888 · 15/10/2019 08:12

Hi @ChloeCA welcome. I think it differs for everyone. Some ladies are feeling better further on, for me I have felt worse from week 8 onwards 🤢 I’m now 11+2 and symptoms are at their worst for me but I think I’ve had it pretty easy compared to some ladies so I can’t complain.

I did ask this question a while ago but had no reply. Does anyone know whether the risk of mc decreases at 12 weeks or 13 weeks? The first trimester is until the end of the 12th week so does that mean we should be waiting until then to announce? I know it’s only a week different but a week feels like a month in the first trimester 😬

kstann · 15/10/2019 09:16

@Wishful30 I am so sorry for what you're going through and that you can't get any definitive answers. Rest up and I hope you get some answers soon ♥️♥️

kstann · 15/10/2019 09:20

@Sunshine8888 hey, this is my first and I had planned to tell people after my scan which is on Monday, however I'm not having my bloods done until after the scan, so now thinking of waiting until the results of the chromosome screening come back (not that'll necessarily change the outcome) but for my own piece of mind.

I'd like to know what others plan to do too, and in people's experiences how long does it take to get the results back from the screening?xx

Wishful30 · 15/10/2019 09:23

Thankyou all for your kind comments.
Dh has told me not to go to work, but I don't see the point in being miserable alone at home. So I'm going in. Plus I need to speak to someone about my 2nd scan. As it's gonna make me late for work, and if it's not resolving on it's own, they're gonna wana do a d&c I think, which they're gonna have to knock me out for!!! So that'll be another couple of days off too. I've only been there just over 4months, so need to let them know really.
Really annoyed my hormone levels are really good. So still feeling shattered and a bit nauseous along with on/off mild cramps and bleeding. Can't believe this might carry on for over 2weeks 😑

Raindancer411 · 15/10/2019 09:30

@ChloeCA I have had bad acid and can feel the burning in my throat and stomach aches. Went to docs and they prescribed meds but they made me feel worse. Yesterday wasn't as bad but today it's back :(

Bumpingalong84 · 15/10/2019 09:54

@Sunshine8888 I found this study

datayze.com/miscarriage-chart.php

I don’t know if it helps, in my previous pregnancy I felt comfortable telling people after my 12week scan.

Hope everyone is having a nice Tuesday x

Delbelleber · 15/10/2019 09:55

Hi everyone. I found out last week I am expecting #3 and I'm now about 7+4. I wasn't tracking my periods because my bf has no sperm on ejaculation so we assumed he was infertile. He's delighted. I had pretty much thought I was done having babies so this was a big surprise for me. I had a mmc about 7 years ago so find it hard to relax about the pregnancy especially when my symptoms suddenly disappear . My kids from a previous relationship are ages 11 and 6.
I am also a smoker and trying to stop. I feel guilty about smoking and I've cut back a lot since finding out but it's much harder this time to quit.

Delbelleber · 15/10/2019 10:02

I also wanted to say to the lady having a suspected mc that you should be at home resting. When I found out about my mmc I went to work but my body had other ideas and my back locked up while at work. I had to spend the next few days on the floor on my back. It was my bodies way of getting me to stop and deal with it and not carry on as usual when you need to rest and come to terms with your loss. Took me months to recover emotionally, best part of a year I'd say. When I eventually started feeling better I finally conceived again and that was my daughter. I comfort myself that if I hadn't had that mmc I would never have had my daughter.
I hope you are OK and also hoping your 2nd scan brings good news rather than confirm the worst xx

woollycat · 15/10/2019 11:34

So my scan is scheduled for Nov 1 when I will only be 10+5. I think this is too early to do the trisomy screening tests. I am thinking of proactively rescheduling it to a but later - anyone know what's the earliest they can perform those tests?

sazzlerazzle · 15/10/2019 11:56

@woollycat you should be ok if your dates are correct as it can be done between 10 and 14 weeks. I would imagine if they find you’re not as far along as you thought you were, they would book a second scan x
