@zoemelb exciting about the scan. i get this freezing cold feeling then hot and keep thinking i'm getting the flu or something but it's just the pregnancy hormones. my fingers go white from the cold ( even my MIL felt sorry for me yesterday). i'm 8 weeks when is all this getting better !

Helensss · 06/10/2019 08:04

@facevalue I keep feeling really headachy like I’m going to wake up the next day with the flu but it must just be hormones, eagerly awaiting my scan date! Also utterly terrified for it 😂

Hope everyone has a nice Sunday! I want to try a long dog walk and a roast, wish me luck! X

firsttimer1980 · 06/10/2019 08:26

Hi everyone. Can I join?! I'm 10+3 today, due 30th April (atm). Have my first scan on 16th October. This will be my first baby, so everyday is a brand new experience for me.
I'm still experience morning sickness, but no vomiting, thank goodness! Pretty exhausted all the time.
I'm feeling pretty calm about the whole thing just now. I'm a little nervous as I'm 39, but looking for to first scan and results to move forward.
Hopefully this post/group will act as a good sounding board etc. As it's been really hard not having a"buddy" to talk things through with who's going through the same thing as me... does that make sense?

Clairesoph · 06/10/2019 08:35

@zoemelb Im not sure how to cope either to be honest 😭😆 pregnancy with a toddler is a total different ball game, plus working full time in childcare and having a labrador to keep happy whilst my partner works 6 days a week self employed. Starting to think I might lose the plot before Im even half way at this rate. Very emotional but just keep plodding! Oh and we just moved into a new house a month a go as a reno project cos OH is a builder and its not been touched since the 70s WOOOHOOOO

Moonstone12 · 06/10/2019 09:06

@firsttimer1980 welcome :) I'm very similar to you - due May 1st, 38yrs old but this is number 4 for me!
I've got my scan on the 22nd and I'm super nervous. I have no reason to worry (no cramps or bleeding or anything) but for some reason this time round I'm convinced something will go wrong. Maybe it's my age. I know risks are higher and I'm classed as a geriatric mother! (Rude 😂😂😂)

Sickness is still here and I don't ever remember being as tired in my other pregnancies. I could sleep 24/7. Luckily I've been signed off work because of the hyperemisis so I don't have that to worry about and my other half is an absolute star. I haven't had to do anything at all. He has done school runs, housework, kids .... everything.

I'll just be glad when I'm feeling well enough to leave the house. It's been almost 6 weeks now and I'm going so so stir crazy!

Have a wonderful Sunday everyone xxx

ChampooPapi · 06/10/2019 09:09

@Helensss a walk and a roast, are you mad woman Grin oh Lord though now I want a roast right now, I just know I'm going to be really crap again today but it's only a phase..... hopefully!

@firsttimer1980 welcome, it gets much easier I promise, post about 16 weeks usually the energy returns and you feel so much better. And after 12 weeks the sickness really starts to subside for most people. When is your 12 week scan?

ChampooPapi · 06/10/2019 09:15

@Moonstone12 hey, have a lovely Sunday too. I'm getting a little nerves now the 12 week scan is getting so close too, number three for me

Morning ladies 👋🏻
Just been catching up on yesterday's posts.
Definitely keeping warm is key for me. But very hot/cold, especially overnight. I usually sleep naked but worked out that when I kick the covers off at night, I then wake up frozen with a stiff back. So wearing shorts and a vest top has helped.
Also after my 1st cup of tea in the morning I feel like I have a full on cold. Full of snot, sneezing, my eyes go puffy. Makes me cough, which make me feel a bit sick. But it goes away after an hour or so 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don't want to get too excited as it was probably just a fluke, but yesterday I had next to no brown spotting and only a few cramps in the evening 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
It's lazy Sunday today. Plan on staying in my newly purchased snuggly dressing gown and cracking on with craft fare stuff 🙂

ChampooPapi · 06/10/2019 09:22

@Clairesoph just one day at a time , looking forward and thinking how much longer of feeling so crap ect doesn't help and definitely brings the worry and overwhelming feelings. Just one day, one hour at a time and it will pass. One day it will be just a dream you will hardly remember this time (except that it was grim obviously).

It's tough, my partner is away Monday till Thursday night working up in Bristol, but I do have a helpful 9 year old who amuses the toddler with games so very blessed there

ChampooPapi · 06/10/2019 09:25

@Clairesoph your work load does sound intense though, you are doing amazingly to be balancing everything. It must be really grooling, I hope you can fully flop today!

Clairesoph · 06/10/2019 10:11

@ChampooPapi ah thank you, set me off crying (only the third time this morning!) hormones must be raging. I just have that overwhelming feeling of biting off more than we can chew. Alot can happen in nine months though and of course it will all be worth it! Thank you for your kind words xxx

Sunshine8888 · 06/10/2019 10:18

Morning ladies, just catching up! I’m 10 weeks today (or 11+3 on LMP), I feel like I’m slowly getting there now! I find I am freezing 🥶 cold all the time! I’ve been wrapping up to go to bed recently 😂. Also keep waking up all bunged up like I have a cold 🤧

Can’t wait / nervous for scan on Thursday!

firsttimer1980 · 06/10/2019 11:26

@Moonstone12 @ChampooPapi
Thank you both for the warm welcome. Wow number 4! Good for you. I'm sure everything will be fine. But I know what you mean about the age. Geriatric!!!! Crazy!
12 week scan is 16th October

Bumpingalong84 · 06/10/2019 11:42

Hey ladies. Happy Sunday! 7wks today according to last scan (7+6 from feeling very rough this weekend, super tired, bloated and just general yucky feeling. Feel hungry then come to eat and don’t fancy it. DH is feeling encouraged by this as it’s what I was like with DD tho I remember feeling 10times worse than this.

I totally get the cold feeling, I’m constantly chilly and at work constantly turning out heater up and the girls in the office are roasting 🙊

woollycat · 06/10/2019 12:28

I am 7w today and the nausea + bloating + painful flatulence combo is very tough. I had taken last week off work and will have to take next week too. Not sure how much longer I can go on like this - the only thing that makes me feel better is lying in bed so that's all I do all day.

Shak19 · 06/10/2019 13:18

@Eemamc was you able to find the group?

Guys I feel so rough lately. Meds are no longer working for me and I'm sick of being sick!meant to be back to work tomorrow and I just dont wanna go.
I tried for this baby for ages and I feel awful for complaining:(

Helensss · 06/10/2019 16:31

@ChampooPapi well I managed a bit of a walk but had to turn back as I felt so sick, couldn’t face cooking a roast so I’ve come to my parents for one instead 😂 x

facevalue · 06/10/2019 16:51

@Shak19 sorry about that. what meds do you mean?

@woollycat i've spent all day on the sofa literally had two naps and i'm miserable ... i'm sure my husband is judging me🙄 cos he keeps saying shall WE go out shall WE bla bla ... i want to throw something at him to shut him .... irritating to hear it... i'm hungry i'm tired i'm fed up ... he could just take DD out without me ! anyone else's partner seem to need company for everything can't seem to just get on with things 🤐

i'm being mean 🤢 but i'm hormonal

Wishful30 · 06/10/2019 17:10

Currently feeling so so lucky!!
DH told me to stay in bed today, said he'll sort the dishes and do the cat litter when he comes home (he's literally NEVER done the cat litter)
I think we're both so shocked I'm actually pregnant after 2 and a half years and an IVF appointment booked for this month, that he's being so overly attentive 😂
I think I'm already bubble wrapped... which may get annoying at some point.

So I've literally been in my pj's today. I've done the dishes. Im cooking dinner.
Had a 2 hour nap 😂
Making the most of it as current only felt a bit nauseous here and there, so whilst I'm lucky with that, I'm going to carry on as normal!

november90 · 06/10/2019 17:40

Hi ladies, just checking back in! So sorry to see so many of you are suffering with sickness. I've read it will peak around week 9 and I think most are slowly getting there so there is a light and it will be soon!
I had a pretty easy ride last week, other the utter exhaustion I felt fine which in its self was stressful and I couldn't enjoy it!
Yesterday evening I started feeling sick though and I've felt so rotten and tired all day today. I can't put into words how tired I am. I need to have a nap everyday but with work and a toddler that's impossible! I've resorted to taking my son for a drive for a nap and napping in the car too! I just can't believe how intense the fatigue is. Also instead of actually being sick, I seem to get getting an upset tummy instead which is just delightful... not 🙈 I also went to morrinsons today and felt so light headed. I've been wanting a jacket potato all week so I got one but by the time I got home I went off the thought of it and got a McDonald's to eat in the car before my nap 🙈 Oh the joys! But it will come and go and in a few weeks I'm sure most of us will have forgotten about this tough stage :) ❤️

november90 · 06/10/2019 17:43

My son is being so lovely and sweet though. He had a small operation last week and he's bounced back and has been an absolute dream all weekend. It just reinforces how lucky I am. I have a wonderful son and another baby on the way! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I've dreamed of this my whole life!
This phase will pass ladies, you're all doing amazingly! Trust me it will come and go. Every time you feel rubbish just remember "it will come and go".

Sunshine8888 · 06/10/2019 18:30

I think my hormones are all over the place atm, the last couple of days I keep bursting into tears for no apparent reason. Poor DH is so alarmed, he keeps asking what’s wrong and I don’t even know 🙈

woollycat · 06/10/2019 19:28

@november90 thank you for the encouragement, it has made me feel a bit better! 🙏🏻

Charlotte2020xx · 06/10/2019 19:32
