@whiskersonkittenss sorry to hear about your troubles it sounds tough! Did they say you will have baby a bit early? Sorry for all the questions with dh being 6ft 5 they're already anticipating my boy being big too. I'm having a 4d scan on sat at 26 weeks :)

Jesskir89 · 10/12/2019 18:47

@dinosauraddict thank you xx

maria94 · 10/12/2019 18:59

Anyone else baby keep getting hiccups?! How often are they meant to have them? I feel like my baby has them quite a lot😣

barnyb · 10/12/2019 19:05

@maria94 how do you know the baby is hiccuping??? I have no idea what it’s meant to be like xx

maria94 · 10/12/2019 19:23

@barnyb it feels like little twitches.. they are in the same place and are really rhythmic, usually happens every 2-3 seconds and stops after like 5 mins! I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure they are hiccups 😂

whiskersonkittenss · 10/12/2019 19:33

Im waiting on my GTT to see if I have diabetes and then the consultant will decide whether to do it early or not. He hasn't given me a date for the ELCS yet but I'm seeing him again in January so im sure ill find out then. I'm tall and so is my boyfriend, we knew we'd be having a long baby but I didn't think he'd be so bloody chunky too Grin

I was planning on having the 4d end of December but thinking about it, I'm going to go for it this weekend maybe. I'd be gutted if we missed the chance!!

Dinosauraddict · 10/12/2019 19:52

@maria94 my baby has had hiccups twice Smile

barnyb · 10/12/2019 20:09

@maria94 ok thank you. ! Iv notice baby girl moving sooooo much this last week! It’s constant now and very visual too! :) I haven’t got a clue when she may be hiccuping though lol! Maybe soon I’ll be able to tell !
:)

Jesskir89 · 10/12/2019 20:17

Not sure about hiccups but to say I didn't feel proper movements til 21 weeks I have been seeing them since friday :) @whiskersonkittenss please keep us updated and yes I would try and get one this weekend x

maria94 · 10/12/2019 20:24

@barnyb lush! I can definitely tell baby is getting big now, been feeling lots of strong movements too! Haha I'm sure you'll notice when/if she does get them :)

MissPepper8 · 11/12/2019 00:23

@maria94 Not this pregnancy but with my first DS had them loooads.. He use to wake me up at 5am with hiccups. It use to drive me insane towards the end, I'd sometimes get them twice a day and my whole belly would wobble from them 😂. Interesting, when he was born he still got them quite a bit up until weaning.

Funny tonight I was sitting feeling baby wiggle and thought I haven't had hiccups yet. Its such a weird feeling x

Dinosauraddict · 11/12/2019 09:55

Does the third trimester start at 27+0 or 28+0 - different apps are telling me different things?!

MissPepper8 · 11/12/2019 13:34

@Dinosauraddict Think it is 28 weeks as I've got an appointment for anti d and a check up that week (I guess I always thought that's why anti d was given then too).

Jesskir89 · 11/12/2019 14:57

27 weeks all my say :)

Dinosauraddict · 11/12/2019 15:02

@Jesskir89 and @MissPepper8 I really don't know then - half my apps say one, and half say the other. Next week (28 for me) does seem to have more medical appointments though - SEVEN - quite ridiculous really. My poor boss. It's lucky I'm quite senior.

Dinosauraddict · 11/12/2019 15:09

As we're nearly at 1,000 I've just set up the new thread - March Babies #5 under antenatal clubs, and have tagged the recently active lot! Grin

MissPepper8 · 11/12/2019 19:45

@Dinosauraddict Is it an American thing? I think it may be different if the app is American maybe. I don't think it matters if you're a week early, I found out they won't monitor baby (only doppler) in my NHS unless you're 32 weeks, which confused me as you're a month into 3rd tri then. xx

I just googled this cause now I'm genuinely curious

www.nhs.uk/start4life/pregnancy/week-by-week/3rd-trimester/week-28/

Dinosauraddict · 11/12/2019 19:57

Ooh yes @MissPepper8 perhaps that's why - perhaps US counts it slightly differently!!
